“Centralized access but double authentication is annoying”

easy access to all my info in one place. I don't need to hire a different company for training either.

Cons

The double authentication login is annoying when I'm in a hurry. I can't tell you how many times I've asked it to remember me.

“unpleasant support and basic reports”

Pros

The only positive thing I can say is that it's cheaper than other payroll companies and really easy to use. Other than that, I haven't had a very good experience with Paychex.

Cons

Customer support wasn't pleasant when I had to call about mistakes Paychex made. I wouldn't trust them with tax filings. The reports are really basic and for anything else, you have to call them.

“Decent software that can be improved”

Pros

I really appreciate being able to approve my team's hours while using the admin section. Its great that I can break it down by pay week or pay period. Very convenient for me.

Cons

I cant print out the specific error or the full time sheet when there are punch in and out errors from an employee. This is really important for my business since we need signatures to approve any adjustments for these errors.

“Excellent tool overall”

Pros

Its very user friendly and I love that I can access everything on my phone. Simple to check out the details for each paycheck.

Cons

The interface could definitely be improved to make it easier for users to get used to. It feels like its designed more for employers than for employees.

“Simple and efficient”

Pros

What I like the most is how everything I need is right there on the website or app. I can check my W 2s, see my hours, PTO and more all in one place.

Cons

I think it needs more updates. At times while using the website or app, it feels very outdated and isnt as easy to use as it could be. It certainly has potential to be better.

“Good experience”

Pros

Its looks pretty nice and I enjoy how simple it is to get all my pay stubs. Its a good experience apart from one little thing that I dont like.

I was disappointed that my sick time was not added at the end of the year especially when the pay period clearly ended on 12/31.

Pros

Having a platform to manage HR and payroll tasks is really helpful. People can easily access their information whenever they need it which makes things a lot more efficient.

Cons

Dont get the point behind separate logins for different functions. Some of the actions are a bit confusing and I feel like I have to click around a lot just to figure out how to do simple tasks.

“My exerience with paychex”

Pros

The interface was all in one place but honestly, it wasn't the most organized. Still, it served the purpose I needed it to.

Cons

The interface seemed put together well but the setup wasn't the most efficient. It required me to click on several different things just to get to where I needed to go which could be time-consuming and frustrating at times.

“Terrible customer support”

Pros

It was like a one-stop shop for payroll and HR. I didn't have to hire extra HR staff which was great.

Cons

Customer service was pretty awful. Nobody ever answered the phones and when I left voicemails, it would take weeks to get a response, if I got one at all. Most of the time, I had to call multiple times and leave multiple messages before someone would get back to me.

“Time-efficient software”

Pros

I absolutely love all the benefits it offers our employees. There are so many great options that make life easier.

Cons

The cost is something I'd point out. You get a lot for the money, sure but in my opinion, it's still on the expensive side.

“Great choice for small businesses”

Pros

The online portal is vvery easy to use. The system is always up and running, and it only takes me a few minutes to enter payroll.

Cons

The billing is unclear. For anything outside of the normal payroll deductions, I have to hunt around to figure out what I'm getting billed for. Fees seem to go up every year without any explanation or notice and I end up having to renegotiate every year. Getting credits also takes hours of emails and work.

“No worries with this subscription”

Pros

Honestly, there's nothing good I can say about Paychex. The only reason I'm still with them is that I can't leave and they won't process our organization's resolutions.

Cons

The customer service is another issue. I've only ever had one positive interaction, and that was with the agent who helped me cancel my deceased husband's insurance benefits. Their software didn't understand why a deceased employee with a death certificate wouldn't want insurance.

“Easy to use, all-in-one solution”

Pros

It's fantastic for issuing weekly or biweekly paychecks. The whole process is smooth and the program is very user-friendly.

Cons

The only downside I have with this tool is that it's always easier to access on my computer than it is on my phone. For some reason, the phone experience isn't as smooth.

The reports are really great! I find them super easy to customize based on what I need.

Cons

The modules work independently of each other. It would be so much better if I could enter information in one place and it would automatically update across all the other modules.

“Simple for anyone to use”

Pros

Tech support was a lifesaver when I needed it. We moved a couple of times and each time I needed help with resetting the timeclock. Everyone I talked to was really good at explaining what to do.

Cons

I can't really say anything was bad. It was really user-friendly overall.

The mobile app is very handy for checking things on the go. It's great having everything like taxes, benefits and employee info, all in one place. Plus the customer support team is responsive and usually quick to help.

Cons

It can be confusing at first especially if you're not used to software like this. Some features feel hidden in menus or hard to find and the reporting tools could definitely be easier to customize.

“Not exactly cutting-edge”

Pros

The dashboard was nice and the layout showed me what I needed. It took a bit to get used to the controls, though.

Cons

I had a lot of "tech problems" and ended up with a lot of different people as my representatives which made things complicated.

The interface is really great for the end user. It's so easy to use and I find it very user-friendly. I never feel lost trying to find what I need which makes it a pleasant experience overall.

Cons

It would be great if there were more options for running reports especially for admins. I could really use some additional features for reporting.

“I use Paychex every week”

Pros

I love being able to easily view my employees, pay stubs and hours clocked. At the end of the year, I can also access my W2s which is a huge convenience. It makes handling year-end tasks so much easier.

Cons

I've had issues with having to reload the app constantly. It's not a huge deal but it is kind of annoying. Other than that, I haven't had many issues using It.

“User friendly solution!”

Pros

I really enjoy how easy it is to input weekly payroll and update employee information quickly. It's a smooth process that saves me a lot of time, making my job so much easier.

Cons

I really wish it was easier to create custom reports. There are times when I have to ask a specialist to make the exact report I need which takes extra time.
