“Simple & effective to use”

It's really easy to use! The information is well-organized and everything is clear. I never have to search around for what I need and it's all right there.

Honestly, I didn't dislike any of the features. I think it's a good option to keep in mind for payroll needs.

“It works as expected”

It's got all the info I need. I can quickly find general paycheck details but it also has extra features like checklists for to-do items, HR information, retirement benefits and more. It covers all the essentials.

Cons

It felt like I had to click too many times to get to where I wanted to go. The layout just didn't feel very organized visually which made the whole process a bit more cumbersome.

“Best app!”

Pros

The app is very easy to use! I can bring up my pay stubs and 401K information with just a few taps. Everything is streamlined and accessible, making it really convenient for me.

Cons

It took a few days after the pay period to be able to access my 401K and paycheck contributions which was frustrating.

“Why Paychex?”

What I really appreciate is the functionality and how easy it is to use Paychex Flex. It just works and it's not complicated, which makes managing everything so much easier.

Cons

The only thing I can think of is that it's definitely better to access the platform on a desktop rather than a cellphone.

It is decent it has many good features and the payroll processing is very smooth. The HR tools it offers are also incredibly helpful which is a big plus.

Our payroll specialist is always absent and there have been a lot of errors with our account regarding taxes. It feels like other representatives aren't willing to help either.

The best part is how easy it is to use! The dashboard simplifies everything, especially when it comes to onboarding/offboarding employees, running payroll and handling W2 distribution. It keeps everything organized and simple.

Cons

The fees are slightly higher than I'd like but overall, it's worth it considering everything that's included.

“How I run payroll”

It's incredibly user-friendly! I've been using Paychex Flex for 3.5 years and it only takes me about 5 minutes to run payroll. The setup was easy, thanks to the support team. Whenever I have a question, they respond quickly and efficiently.

I honestly don't have any issues with It. It works great for me.

“The switch worked out for us”

I appreciate how easy and accurate it is to use and whenever I have a question, the representatives are always quick to respond. I especially appreciate our primary Payroll Specialist and they've been awesome!

You definitely need to double-check with sales to make sure what they tell you is actually available. We had a couple of surprises when we first became customers. We also had a lot of turnover with key contacts which was frustrating at first, but it's all good now.

“Better than ADP”

Pros

Running payroll from Paychex Flex is super easy because all the functions are built right in. We use Time and Attendance and Benefits Administration, so hours and deductions are automatically updated and fed into the payroll file. I can complete payroll for my 100-person team (60% hourly) in under an hour, including running all the reports.

Cons

The functionality isn't as good as other platforms like Paylocity. We switched to Paychex to integrate with our new parent company but we lost a lot of insight in the process. The manager interface doesn't offer as much visibility and the reports are pretty terrible, they can only be downloaded in PDF form.

It's easy to use and understand and everyone is always so helpful whenever I need answers or assistance. I always feel supported when I have questions.

It's not so much that I dislike but they offer a lot of features and don't have the time to implement them or notify employees.

The interface is very user-friendly and I have no trouble navigating it. It's flexible which makes everything go smoothly when I'm using it.

I wish there were fewer emails about promotional offers. It gets much after a while.

I like that it's mobile-friendly and easy to use from the user's end. I can access everything I need on the go which adds a lot of flexibility to my work routine.

From the admin side of things, it's not very user-friendly. They make it difficult to be self-sufficient and really support your team efficiently.

Some reports are really difficult to run because there are so many customizable items from which I have to deal with.

It is pretty user friendly. All our employees have easy access online and printing the W2 form is simple. Also it is a secure product.

Cons

If reconciliation does not work we have to spend time figuring out why. And our employees could not change their tax withholding on the site and had to go through HR for that.

“Budget-friendly tool”

Both management and employees find it simple to use. Overall it is a great option compared to pricier payroll processors.

Sometimes the app does not update properly on the employee side which causes issues for us.

The program is very user friendly and I love handling all the admin tasks through it.

Paychex Flex desktop version and app are both fairly easy to use. Plus it has great features that help me stay synced with my hours and benefits.

The support options and help number are not easy to find. Like I struggled when I needed the assistance the most.

On the HR side it is really easy to use. As I can easily export payroll information and send it to our accountant that too within few minutes.

Cons

Our employees find it difficult to use. Also it is semi easy to request time off but the app can take up to five minutes to load before they can clock in or out. This led to impatience and many missed punches.

“Simple onboarding process”

I like how simple it is to onboard employees and assign harassment training.

Well I do not like how the entire system locks up when payroll is processing.
