“simple, functional & great support
Pros
I like the customer service we get. Whenever we have questions or need help with a special project they're there. I love having a local rep who checks in on us. I also love how easy and functional the software is & it makes payroll quick and simple.
Cons
No complaints. The customer service is great, the reporting features are awesome and it's simple to find my way around.

“smooth setup for 800 employees
Pros
The best part was how easy the setup was! We have about 800 employees in several states and it went fast and smooth. Our specialist was so easy to work with helpful in every way and always quick to respond. I never felt left hanging. Our very first payroll run was perfect!
Cons
There was a bit of a disconnect between our sales rep and our internal team which led to some confusion and a few setup items that took a while to sort out.

“support that never rushes you
Pros
Paycom's customer support is amazing. When I started this job I had never used Paycom before. I called in and they walked me through my first payroll step-by-step. They never rushed me or made me feel like I was a bother. every single time I've called they've gone above and beyond. I can always get someone immediately I've never been stuck on hold.
Cons
I would've liked a paper "how-to" guide but the customer service is top-notch so it wasn't really a problem.

“Interactive but reports need work
Pros
The platform is way more interactive than others I've seen and the ability to connect to other systems is great. The customer support staff is always fantastic, too!
Cons
Some of the standard reports aren't that useful right out of the box and need extra work. I'd love to see more high-level summary reports.

Pros
I can use the app for everything I need for my job, it's easy to use and I like that I can access it anytime.
Cons
I haven't had any problems with the app for looking up benefits info. I just wish it had a few more options.

Pros
It's very easy to use and I find it really user-friendly. All my payroll information is right at my fingertips.

“scales for nonprofits but upgrades lack training and value
Pros
It had a product that was big enough to fit our needs as a growing church and nonprofit. They also have a huge support team.
Cons
They would push through system upgrades without giving us proper training first. And a lot of the time the updates didn't even feel helpful for our team.

“Costly but feature-packed
Pros
we use this for onboarding, payroll, timecards and general HR stuff and I have no complaints. It's easy to use, has tons of features and makes handling HR tasks simple.
Cons
cost is pretty high but I guess you get what you pay for. I just wish the timecard feature was a bit easier to use.

Pros
customer support is excellent across the board from the day-to-day support specialists to our main rep who spends hours with us in person making sure we're using the system to its fullest.
Cons
We had some glitches with tax filing and adjustments like for the 260 e-grants. early on there were also issues with the PPP forms after Covid.

“BETI is a workflow game-changer
Pros
Paycom's BETI feature has made my workflow so efficient that I can now submit payroll a whole day earlier. We recently signed a 3-year commitment with them for the best pricing and it's worth every penny. After using it for 9 years like I have you learn how to make the system work for you and solve problems fast. When I run into something I don't know I know my dedicated specialist or their team will either fix it or show me how. We've worked so closely over the years they feel more like work friends. It is always getting better for both admins and employees. BeTI especially the "Approve my Paycheck" feature, has made my life easier because now employees can spot payroll issues before I even start processing, instead of finding out on payday when it's a bigger issue to fix.
Cons
My only real issue is that It doesn't work by just thinking about what I need but then again nothing does! If you have BETI set up right though it almost feels like it does. Update days used to make me nervous because they'd fix one thing but break another. I've heard they're switching from monthly to quarterly updates for more testing which sounds like a good move.

“Versatile & easy to customize
Pros
I love that the system has multiple ways to set things up. It's easy to use and really alignes work. My top favorite products are Benefits Administration, Payroll and the Personnel Action forms. The reporting is also easy to customize for my company's needs.
Cons
The setup process can sometimes feel rushed and I've noticed small details get missed because of it. To be fair I've found this is kind of true with most HR systems.

“Clean, simple, reliable
Pros
Well I really like how simple and easy it is to use overall. The design is clean and easy to use. I don't remember ever having any bugs or issues, it's pretty reliable. I love that my paystubs are easy to find and the Test Sample Paycheck feature is cool. The app is great but I prefer the web version for most things. I mainly use the app just to clock in and out.
Cons
I have a few small wishes: On the read-only timesheet, I wish it showed both my current hours and my tentative hours when I have pending punch edits or PTO requests. The approval emails for punch edits don't include the date so when I get several in a week I can't tell which day they're for. I also don't like the layout of the read-only timesheet on the mobile app it's just not my favorite.

Pros
What I llove most about it is the constant notifications about things I need to do for payroll and how easy it is to get in touch with someone from Paycom when I need help.
Cons
There's just a lot going on especially around payroll. But honestly that's probably just part of learning the platform and figuring out how everything works.

Having everything all in one place is great. It's well-integrated, gives employees strong self-service options and has a lot of management tools, too.
Cons

“mobile app feature-rich but recent design less efficient
Pros
The mobile app has a ton of features and is way more user-friendly than other HR systems I've used. I can review and sign documents, enter expenses, view my clock-ins, request sick days and so much more.
Cons
I'm not a huge fan of the new design. Before the 2022 update the workflows felt easier and more simple.

“comprehensive one-stop solution
Pros
Implementing it was a huge project because my company uses it for so many HR functions, payroll, timekeeping, applicant tracking, performance management and license management. I really appreciate having all these different tools under one "roof" because it makes everything work together perfectly. Having a one-stop shop like it gives me more time back in my day since I'm not struggling with manual processes anymore.
Cons
It can be a bit inflexible with customizing features. I had a specific way I liked to start the recruitment process but the system doesn't support it so I've had to change how I open and fill job reqs.

“Great for larger companies
Pros
The customer service is fantastic as long as your company is on the larger side. The user experience is amazing and easy to use.
Cons
Lack of integration is a pain. It lets you send data out but you can't pull data in from other systems which limits what we can do.

It is easy to use and the customer service is good. The reports are very good and it's easy to create your own custom report.
Cons
The online help section in it is pretty lacking. It's hard to find what you need and sometimes the info just isn't there. I also miss some features I had in other systems.

Pros
I like that Paycom's tools are flexible enough to work for smaller companies but can also be scaled up to a huge enterprise level at any time.
Cons
We still run into the occasional tax issue. I wish Paycom's tax team would communicate better and be more transparent especially when setting up new accounts.

“simple setup with multiple confusing paths
Pros
Truly I appreciate how simple it is to set up some things like adding new locations and managing positions. Customer Support really does their best to resolve your issues. If I hit a problem I can usually call a rep to open a ticket and it gets fixed pretty fast. Also this is a very forgiving system so if someone makes a mistake a lot of things are correctable which is such a blessing. The IWant AI feature has also made things really easy for both employees and managers so I'm thankful for that addition.
Cons
The layout is good but it could be great if there weren't two or three different ways to get to the same module or section. Having multiple paths sounds helpful but actually confuses our managers and employees. I'd also like better functionality for effective dating and labor allocations.
