“Ability to copy and paste shifts”
Pros
Setting up my work schedule is really convenient. Being able to copy and paste shifts saves a lot of time and keeps me from having to enter the same exact hours over and over which gets repetitive fast. It's also helpful that I can quickly see who is in the office and who is out at just a glance.
Cons
I can't add my schedule from my personal page and instead have to go into the main schedule page that includes all employees.

“Great customer care”
Pros
It does a solid job of helping organizations handle and keep their payroll processes organized. One area where it really does better than a lot of other payroll providers is customer service which has been consistently very good.
Cons
At the same time like a lot of payroll systems, it could be far more user-friendly. You really need to know the platform well to understand things like why it would issue a $0 paper check to someone enrolled in direct deposit or why an employee on leave who should be receiving PTO payout does not appear on the register, along with plenty of other situations like that. Since the company is primarily focused on payroll processing, the HR modules feel very underdeveloped. They are currently updating the benefits module but until now benefits enrollment was not built into the onboarding platform. The reporting tool is complex too. I have been able to run some reports on my own by following their recommended logic but for many others I still have to contact customer service for assistance.

“Stellar service”
Pros
Navigating it feels very simple and the platform is user friendly overall. On top of that, the customer service team is consistently warm, helpful and welcoming.
Cons
Changing deposit details can be a bit confusing at first. It took some time to realize you need to overwrite the previous deposit information instead of simply entering new checking or savings account details.

“Uncluttered design”
Pros
Our company relies on this for payroll and it has been consistently reliable for me. I've never run into login issues and both the website and mobile app feel user-friendly and simple to move around in. Checking pay stubs is simple and each one shows deductions and taxes in a clear, readable way. There's even a payday countdown which is a nice touch for anyone who pays attention to that. It has a lot of features but the design keeps everything within reach without feeling cluttered or overwhelming. Overall, the front end feels very polished and well designed.
Cons
The switch from our previous provider was rough and turned into a real headache. Some employees lost benefits and PTO and a few were even missed on payday. It's possible some of that came from our side during the transition but it also felt like Paycor didn't step in much to help resolve things. Aside from that implementation period, there really haven't been any other negative issues to mention.

“They value feedback”
Pros
Its reporting stands out. Being able to customize reports saves me a ton of time and the platform itself is very user-friendly. Their customer service has also been excellent and I really appreciate that Paycor listens to user feedback and keeps making improvements.
Cons
There really is not much I dislike about it because I value all of its features. The only thing that does not fit our situation is onboarding since we do not hire on a monthly basis. Because of that, I could not justify the cost but if our hiring volume were different, I would absolutely use it.

“helpful tutorials”
Pros
Getting around it feels very simple and user-friendly. It's simple to use and the tutorials do a good job of explaining any areas that might be confusing. Whenever questions come up, the Paycor team is also very responsive and quick to help.
Cons
The implementation process can be somewhat complex with this software and the pricing is a little on the higher side for small and mid-sized businesses.

“Focused platform”
Pros
It stays focused on what it's built for, time tracking and benefits information and it does that exceptionally well. It's one of the best options in this area and is very simple to learn. Whether a company has 300 to 400 employees or 500 to 1,000 and beyond, it works effectively at scale. From the viewpoint of a regular employee, the system is clear, flexible and hard to mess up in ways that can't be corrected. It also carries over well when moving from one company or job to another.
Cons
Its scope is fairly limited since it really only handles a small set of functions and the layout is very basic around those core needs. Beyond those specific areas, there isn't much additional utility. For the tasks it was designed to do, it's excellent but outside of that it has very little use.

“Packed with functions”
Pros
There seems to be a lot of functionality packed into it especially if your HR rep is tech-savvy and willing to dig in and make the most of it. We recently tried the online forms and acknowledgement signatures and that process worked really well. HR also has plenty of widgets they can enable or disable depending on what they need.
Cons
It's tough to know which limitations come from how my company set things up versus what Paycor normally offers out of the box. Still, it feels odd that as a manager I can't view my team members' pay rates. On top of that, if you manage another manager, you're not able to adjust timecards for that person's team. Parts of the interface also feel unuser-friendly. For instance, when approving a time-off request, the Calendar view shows the whole team's time off but doesn't identify who each entry belongs to. Since there aren't different calendar view options, I don't really see much value in that feature.

“feature-rich tool”
Pros
This software felt very user-friendly and comes with a lot of functionality. Even team members who aren't very comfortable with technology can still use it without much trouble. The setup was fast and the app keeps everything laid out in a very organized way.
Cons
There were a few bugs along the way but customer support was able to help resolve them. At the beginning, it also felt a little confusing simply because the system offers so many features.

“Clear hiring pipeline visibility”
Pros
Having the full hiring pipeline for a role in one place makes a big difference and the data is very simple to access. Jobs can be organized by priority, from urgent to normal to on-hold which helps keep everything in order. It's also useful that you can leave comments on candidates for other users or the hiring manager to review. Another strong feature is being able to set up multiple screening stages, whether that's phone screens or interviews. On top of that, posting and promoting jobs on job boards is very convenient.
Cons
it's only available as web-based software and a mobile app would be a really welcome addition. A few features also take some time to learn when you're using it for the first time. It would also be helpful if calendar integration could be added for screener calls.

“reliable access wherever I work”
Pros
Even in places with weak internet where I have to go for onsite work, this software still stays accessible. It's been really helpful when I'm out and about because I don't have to worry about waiting until I'm back at the office to log my daily hours. I can quickly request time off, add missed punches and check my pay with just a click.
Cons
It would be better if it included more details about licenses and other credentials.

“A huge upgrade for us”
Pros
Coming from paper timesheets, this system felt like a huge upgrade for our organization. After speaking with Paycor, we were able to get all employee time entered into one system without having to manage paper cards anymore. The information updates live, still allows for manual handling when needed and can be customized to fit the way your organization works best.
Cons
There's no option to add a signature. During audits, I can't present online timecards without signatures because my auditors won't accept them that way. If Paycor added a feature that let all employees sign their timecards online, I'd honestly change my rating to 20 out of 10.

“payroll chaos and PTO issues”
Pros
At first, the platform seemed very simple to manage and having all of our HR documents stored together in one online place was something I appreciated.
Cons
A few months back, there was a system problem and the whole company ended up receiving pay far later than we should have. That led to six weeks of incorrect paychecks and PTO balances that were hard to trust. Honestly, I'd be perfectly fine never using this system again.

“Benefits, pay stubs and yearly tax details in one place”
Pros
Having my benefits, pay stubs and yearly tax details all in one place is really convenient. It's also helpful to have the calendar and time card available so I can check my hours along with my punch-in and punch-out times.
Cons

“Really effective solution”
Pros
Everything being in one place, pay stubs, company updates and time tracking, makes this really effective especially for companies that need to bill time across multiple charge codes.
Cons
As much as I appreciate the charge code feature, it does have some limits. When I need to add extra details like notes, the field only allows a certain number of characters. It's a little frustrating but still manageable.

“Top-notch report builder”
Pros
Pretty easy to use and the report builder is one of my favorite parts. I can put together a basic report from scratch in just a few minutes.
Cons
Its frustrating not being able to create or even use a built-in report, to print an individual employee's check register. Instead, you have to print every single check separately which becomes really complex when you need three months' worth of check stubs.

Pros
It has been a really solid software to use. It was simple to locate the information I needed and the app itself felt very user-friendly throughout.
