“some modules are complicated”
Pros
Payroll processing works really well for our needs and handling benefits administration is not hard. I appreciate how it manages basic job structures without much difficulty.
Cons
Other modules such as Performance and Recruiting feel clunky and aren't very user-friendly.

“powerful tool”
Pros
This software has incredible capabilities that really surprised me once I started exploring everything it offers. The more I learned about it, the more I realized how powerful it actually is. It handles so many different tasks and genuinely makes HR management much easier to deal with.
Cons
It's a bit difficult to understand at first and I found myself struggling to figure things out initially. There are tons of training videos available though so if you're willing to invest the time watching them and really exploring the system, you'll get the hang of it. My main gripe is that there's no way to set up automated emails for certain tasks.

“flexible reporting”
Pros
Reporting feature is very flexible. I can easily filter or edit reports and the dynamic reporting feature lets me set specific "as of" dates for exactly what I need. The Compensation module makes merit increases easy to manage across the entire company. What really stands out is the insights module, which gives me detailed analytics on benefits, demographics, headcount and more with customizable date ranges. Payroll processing runs smoothly and I love how I can instantly view employee paychecks after making adjustments to catch any errors right away. It's so conveneient being able to access employee information during payroll processing without having to exit and restart the whole process.
Cons
Hard to know what team members with different access levels are seeing when they have questions since I can't view the system from their perspective like our previous payroll provider allowed. Also wish time off requests were easier to find and displayed on the home page instead of being buried in menus.

“well-trained team”
Pros
Really appreciate how userfriendly it is and the customer support is so well-trained. Having just one contact person I can reach out to for any questions about the system makes things so much smoother.
Cons
The interface can be confusing at first though once you figure out how to do something, it becomes simple.

“Simple yet powerful”
Pros
The interface is really well-organized and easy to handle. Coming from UKG, which always felt overly complicated to learn and teach new team members, this platform strikes a perfect balance. Much simpler to grasp while still delivering all the powerful features I need.
Cons
I really can't think of much to complain about here. The system feels pretty solid.

“efficient self-service portal”
Pros
Great how user-friendly this platform is. The payroll and benefits features are supposedly excellent from what I've heard. The self-service portal is efficient and easy to walk others through. Plus I really enjoy working with the survey functionality.
Cons
Customer support is really frustrating. Responses take way too long and when they finally get back to you, they usually can't actually solve the issue. Instead they just tell you to submit an enhancement request which feels like passing the buck.

“satisfied with it”
Pros
The system has really organized how we handle payroll, time off requests and tracking hours. When we first started using it, the training support was exceptional. They went way beyond what I expected. As someone completely new to this kind of platform, I'm confident we picked the right solution.
Cons
Haven't found any real issues so far.

“Not happy with support!”
Pros
I found Paylocity to be the most budget-friendly choice for expanding our operations nationwide but that was about it..
Cons
Service promises were way oversold. They made it sound like payroll would basically run itself but anyone who's done payroll knows you need both good software and people to make it work. They said they'd handle setup but I ended up gathering tons of data for transfer myself, only to find out later that much of it was entered wrong. You're supposed to get a dedicated Account Manager but that's not what happens. When you call or email, your question just gets passed around to whoever's available on the team. They claim to respond to emails within 4 hours but that hasn't been my experiance at all. And even when they do respond, it doesn't mean they actually solve anything. I'm constantly having to double-check everything and follow up on issues. We're also over a month into trying to get set up for employment in a new state and communication about progress has been terrible. It's really hard to know what your getting into before you become a customer, my biggest complaint is definitely the service quality.

“convenient mobile app but PTO updates lag”
Pros
I really appreciate being able to approve things through the mobile app instead of having to pull up a browser every time. The 401k integration with external providers works well too.
Cons
The main issue I have is that PTO balances don't always update right away, sometimes they lag behind until after payroll runs for the period when someone actually used their time off. It would be much better if these updates happened instantly since the delay often confuses employees and they end up having to check with management to get their accurate balance.

“complex system”
Pros
The FAQ resources and training materials are really thorough and well-organized. I appreciate how easy to use it is. Makes finding what I need pretty quick. Their support team via email is brilliant too. Always gets back to me fast with helpful answers.
Cons
The system crashes way too often which is really frustrating. Processing payroll shouldn't be this complicated. I find myself clicking through dozens of different screens just to complete one simple task. The whole workflow feels unnecessarily complicated and could definitely be more streamlined.

“no dedicated account manager”
Pros
I like how it lets me automate HR tasks that used to be manual work. Getting help is refreshingly simple. Submitting support tickets is quick and when I call, I actually reach someone without waiting forever. Running payroll feels simple.
Cons
Performance review cycle can't be customized and adding variable compensation or annual bonuses to employee profiles is pretty hard. Being a smaller company means we don't get a dedicated account manager, which makes it tough to tap into all the features this platform offers. As a one-person HR department, the knowledge center helps but there's so much training material to get through. Having some hands-on support would make a huge difference.

“all in one HR solution but customization and support issues”
Pros
Appreciate how this platform brings together so many HR functions in one place. It's been a game changer for reducing manual data entry and cutting down on mistakes. The payroll and HR capabilities work well for everyone on our team, from HR staff to managers and regular employees. What impressed me most is the reporting system as there are tons of pre-built reports available and the dynamic reporting tools let you create almost anything you need. When we couldn't build something ourselves, we could pay to have their team create a custom report for us.
Cons
We've dealt with some frustrating issues during our first year. The constant turnover of account managers, we had 5 or 6 different ones who left projects incomplete and forced us to repeatedly bring new people up to speed. The ATS feels pretty rigid with its one-size-fits-all approach and while the onboarding has a bit more flexibility, it's still quite limited in what information you can collect. Static forms aren't an option either, which is annoying. I'll give them credit for rolling out frequent updates this past year but there's still a long way to go before it matches the customization options of other systems. Our implementation was also bumpy, not sure if it was because we needed a separate time and attendance vendor they recommended or just poor follow-through on resolving issues before the implementation period ended.

“unreliable reporting”
Pros
The ACA reporting feature works really well and is simple. I find the data insights particularly valuable for getting a quick overview of our company metrics.
Cons
Reporting accuracy isn't always reliable. I really wish supervisors could share performance reviews of there direct reports with other managers for collaboration. Right now I have to manually assign another reviewer each time. You can't future date payroll items or it throws off the current payroll cycle. We're currently using HR & Payroll with Bswift for benefits on a separate platform and the two teams don't communicate at all. When I ask HR&P a question, they'll say "that's a benefits question" and won't help further or even loop in the benefits team. We've been trying to implement Ben Admin to replace Bswift but we can't even get a call with the Benefits team. Our sales rep tried setting something up but we've been completely ghosted, no responses to emails. I also hate how you can't handle many back-end tasks yourself. Everything requires submitting a ticket for a rep to handle and sometimes they don't understand the request, do it wrong or end up breaking other things in the process.

“members have control over their info”
Pros
I find it very userfriendly. What I appreciate most is how our team members can update their own personal info and banking details without needing HR assistance. The 360 integration with our retirement plan provider has been a game-changer as it practically eliminates data entry mistakes.
Cons
I wish there was a way to approve W-2s before they get printed. While we can review things during the year, I was caught off guard in our first year when they printed without me giving the go-ahead.
