“Paylocity makes Payroll and employee management easy

Pros

Running payroll and setting up complicated payrolls is easy with Paylocity. Onboarding employees is smooth, and the reporting provides valuable insights for decision-making.

Cons

I haven't had any negative experiences with Paylocity. I do wish more of our employees would utilize the Paylocity app on their phones for tracking PTO and payments.

Certain features weren't intuitive and took a considerable amount of time to grasp. Navigating through timesheets can sometimes be cumbersome.

Tracking my weekly work, submitting PTO requests, viewing tax documents, and clocking in and out via the app on my phone are all effortless tasks.

It freezes when trying to navigate to certain tabs and when attempting to clock back in from lunch. Also, the app on the phone sometimes won't allow access at all.

Sometimes resetting my password feels like a hassle, but I understand the need for security with confidential information in my account.

Last time I checked (although this might have changed), I'd like to have a page that explains all the taxes and deductions, listing the pros and cons. Having it clearly spelled out somewhere would be convenient. Additionally, the new Paylocity app isn't as user-friendly as the website.

The app is straightforward to use, and I like the convenience of accessing it quickly on my phone.

Cons

I wish the punch option on the home page would reflect my current punch status accurately, but that's not always the case. Sometimes, it says "clock in" when I'm already clocked in, leading to accidental submissions of the wrong punch. I can always go back and correct it, but it'd be great not to have to take that extra step.

There's an abundance of features compared to our previous system, which was limited to QuickBooks Timesheets. Paylocity offers numerous functions, especially beneficial for larger companies requiring HR management assets.

It feels excessive for the size of our company. Although the Paylocity team was great and assisted us in setting up the platform, it's just more than we need right now. Unfortunately, switching back to QuickBooks mid-tax year isn't feasible.

I find it effortless not only to use Paylocity but also to update bank accounts and other personal information. The process of signing up for and locating benefits is also straightforward.

Cons

From a user perspective, I have no complaints because Paylocity fulfills all my needs. It performs as expected.

I appreciate the accessibility of features such as timekeeping, W-2 and tax information, wages, time off requests, and daily punches, all accessible at each employee's leisure. The timekeeping features are specific to wifi (IP) addresses, allowing employees to clock in/out from their own devices on wifi.

Cons

My biggest gripe with Paylocity is how it rounds punches up or down depending on the minute. Let the minutes count for what they are. Additionally, the app leaves much to be desired.
