Good accountability, poor support and UI

Pros

it consistently prompts me to log my hours and being able to view the screenshots is a nice touch for accountability.

Cons

Support response times are frustratingly slow and the interface has become much less intuitive compared to when it first launched and it's gotten unnecessarily complicated over time.

Best features but glitchy on mac

Pros

I like the screenshot feature and how it tracks time automatically. These two functions make monitoring work so much easier for me.

Cons

On my Mac, I run into a lot of glitches. It's really frustrating when it doesn't work smoothly.

able to see all chrome tabs

Pros

I can see every open Chrome tab which really helps me figure out where users are actually spending their time browsing.

Cons

sometimes I get token expiration errors that interrupt my workflow.

wide range of features

Pros

I appreciate how broad the feature set is and how accurate everything runs. The detailed tracking capabilities really help me analyze my staff performance much better than before.

Cons

Would be perfect if there was a BIOs-level mode that prevents uninstalling, that would make it completely tamper-proof.

effective monitoring of employees

Pros

It has a screenshot feature that is very effective for monitoring remote employees and getting a clear view of what they're actually working on throughout the day.

Cons

I wish there was a way to see live screen feeds of employees instead of just screenshots when coordinating coding projects

Helps calculate time for individual tasks

Pros

With Time Doctor, I can quickly monitor how much time each team member spends on tasks.

Cons

Hard to find any real downsides though I suppose some users might want even more advanced features down the road.

Great for tasks, messy integration

Pros

This platform is incredibly flexible for personal productivity and work management. I love the ability to create unlimited tasks, which is perfect for tracking everything from work assignments to personal goals like my reading habit. The data it provides is invaluable for understanding my productivity patterns. The Trello integration is also a major time-saver for active task management.

Cons

main drawbacks involve long-term data management and integration cleanup. It's frustrating that data is only stored for one year forcing me to manually download reports to avoid losing history. Additionally, while the Trello integration works for adding tasks, it doesn't clean up old ones completed, blocked or archived cards clutter the list forever, making it hard to find current items.

Perfect for tracking project time

Pros

The best thing about this tool is how it tracks actual work time and I can see exactly which projects my company spends the most time on and which get less attention. This helps me compare time costs against revenue and we've been able to optimize our client time much better so everyone gets the right amount of attention based on their account size. It also shows me which departments need more staff or support based on workload and time spent on their accounts.

Cons

Setting up a second platform gets really complicated and the lack of translation in several help sections makes it hard to use the system smoothly. Another issue is they prioritized Time Doctor2, leaving original version users behind without automatic migration options and missing key features from the first version. There are also problems with user registration and the website allows Google login but the app doesn't, which has caused signup issues for multiple users.

Highly customizable for admin side

Pros

The interface feels really smooth and user-friendly plus I appreciate being able to choose which projects to track. What stands out most are the admin customization options. You can adjust screencast frequency, toggle them on or off, edit time entries and access well-designed reports that monitor everyone's engagement. The idle time detection works great and ranks team members which helps keep productivity high and quickly identifies areas where performance could improve.

Cons

Occasionally the timer kicks off on its own which can be annoying. When I try to access reports or the dashboard it bounces me to the web version instead of keeping everything in the app. I get that this probably saves memory but it's a hassle since I juggle multiple Chrome accounts. Also frustrating is how it marks meetings as unproductive time, apparently if your mouse isn't moving much, it assumes you are being idle. But meetings and team communication are actually pretty important for getting things done!

convenient software that can be used on dessktop and mobile

Pros

Convenience factor is incredible. Having it on both my desktop and phone means I can track time anywhere. When clients call unexpectedly, I just open the app and start timing immediately. This has been a game-changer for capturing all those quick calls that I used to miss and really add up over time.

Cons

The only real issue I have is that it flags certain sites as unproductive when they're actually work-related for me. As a digital marketing manager, I'm constantly on Facebook and Instagram for campaigns but the system marks these as time-wasting. I wish there was an easier way to customize which sites count as productive. My biggest frustration though is how it interrupts video calls. When I'm on Zoom or Google Meet, it keeps asking if I'm still working which is awkward during client presentations. Having that popup appear while I'm sharing my screen with important prospects is just embarrassing. I'd love for it to automatically detect when I'm in meetings so I dont have to remember to pause it manually every time.

reliable mobile application

Pros

It is great how reliable the mobile app is and it never fails when I need to use it. The automatic screenshot feature is handy since I can remove any captures I don't want kept on record. Being able to correct time entries when I make mistakes is also a nice touch.

Cons

Desktop application is pretty unreliable as it won't start when I need it and refuses to stop when I'm done. I've experienced frequent crashes and freezing issues that really disrupt my workflow. Time tracking gets messed up sometimes, which is frustrating when you're trying to bill accurately. There are annoying bugs where the stop/start button becomes unclickable or just vanishes completely. The worst part is when it crashes unexpectedly without any warning and I lose track of what I was working on.

Pros
