I dislike the inability to directly download insurance cards. There is an option on the app, so I'm uncertain if it's a disabled feature specific to my company. However, Zenefits does provide all the contact information for the insurance companies, simplifying the process of obtaining the insurance cards.

The pay stub feature can be slightly confusing, and the wait times during phone calls can be lengthy.

Payroll has become a timesaving breeze, with far fewer errors compared to manual calculations or relying on a third party accounting firm. Yearend tax documents, especially for contractors receiving 1099s, are also much less of a headache now. HR operations, such as onboarding and documentation for new staff, have also become much simpler for both me and the new hires.

Cons

The responsiveness of customer service can be a bit sluggish, and setting up PTO for parttime employees proved to be more challenging and time consuming than I initially anticipated.

During the demo call, the staff and salespeople were amazing. I had met them previously at an accounting conference. However, two weeks after my client signed up, a hedge fund acquired them, and everything went downhill from there...

There is no option to generate a single report that shows how the payroll aligns with the bank transactions. Sometimes, there can be a significant difference of thousands of dollars between their reports and the debited amount. Despite multiple calls to tech support, we were informed that this discrepancy occurs when there are credits, but there is no report available that lists or explains these credits. Moreover, their tech support is extremely poor.
