“Makes operations efficient”
Pros
Being able to connect clients with basic-needs assistance without sending them on a pointless runaround has been incredibly valuable. Instead of making 40 phone calls and chasing resources with all kinds of random restrictions, I can point people in the right direction much more efficiently.
Cons
Would be nice if there were more options for organizations that need stronger privacy controls, like domestic violence agencies and legal aid groups.

“Effective for agencies”
Pros
It works as a simple database and serves as a really effective platform for agencies that work together to provide services. It's basic but it does the job well and it can also be customized without much trouble.
Cons
A few parts of CharityTracker can be a little unclear when it comes to deciding what information belongs where. The biggest example is the assistance tab versus the notes section although I assume that ultimately depends on how each agency or collaborative chooses to organize things.

“Support in meaningful ways”
Pros
Having a clear view of where our clients have been and where they still need to go for support in the community has been incredibly helpful. Macon Aim and Charity Tracker have supported our Parents as Teachers families in many meaningful ways.
Cons
The biggest thing we still need is more community resources. The more options and support available, the more help we can offer to our families.

Pros
Having a clear view of what other organizations are doing in our area has been really valuable. It keeps us from duplicating work, helps us concentrate on services that are missing and makes it easier to direct people to organizations that already handle certain needs well.
Cons
some services are not very easy to locate unless I scroll through the full list. A few organizations list them separately but with others the details are buried in their profile which makes searching less convenient.

Pros
Its really useful for an organization like ours when it comes to keeping track of people who are requesting assistance. It helps a lot with our internal organization and gives us a clear reminder of who we've already helped and how frequently we've provided support.
Cons
One mixed area is the search function because it's extremely flexible. On the positive side, I can type in a name without being completely exact and still usually get a match. The downside is that it often returns too many results so it takes extra time to sort through them to find the right person. The search tolerances could definitely use some adjustment.

I find it to be very user friendly. Our organization needed something people with all levels of experience could use to track client outcomes and it has really delivered on that.
Cons
Outcomes section could be improved, you have to delete the entire section if you want to remove a goal that was entered before.

The ability to contact multiple organizations at once has been the biggest benefit of CharityTracker for our team. It saves us from making a bunch of phone calls or sending separate emails to different directors and outreach coordinators. Responses usually come back very quickly which means families and organizations can get help right away. The system is simple to navigate and I'm really happy we chose this software.
Cons
No complaints about it, it's been excellent software for us.

Its so simple to get the hang of. I train new users in our County on how to use it and even those who are not very comfortable with computers are still able to understand the system and work through it without much trouble.
Cons
locating people when another user has entered the name with the wrong spelling is a headache. A search option that could recognize similar names would be a big help.
