Can search by address or name

Pros

Getting around it is very easy. You can search by either name or address which makes entering and finding information really convenient. It's also very useful to be able to see what other agencies have already added to the system.

Cons

At this point, I don't have any complaints. We've been very satisfied with this product.

Has been a gamechanger

Pros

Working as an Outreach Coordinator at a medical facility, I used to have a hard time keeping up with the people I assisted and the type of help I gave them. It has been a huge relief. The program feels well organized, simple to use and fits nicely into my daily work. I especially appreciate being able to pull a report whenever I need one which has been a big advantage.

Cons

I would still like to see more filter choices in the Advanced Search, such as middle initial or suffix. Aside from that, I really do not have any complaints.

Helps make better use of resources

Pros

Having this tool in our department helps us make better use of our resources and respond to community needs more effectively. We can quickly look up how a client has been helped before, along with key details about support that has already been provided by other local agencies which makes coordination much more informed.

Cons

The search function does not work as efficiently as it used to. At times, we have to go through 15 to 20 pages of names just to find someone who should have appeared as soon as their name was entered in the search box.

Impressive insights

Pros

Having detailed information available makes a huge difference when it comes to tracking how individuals are using the systems in the area. That level of visibility is incredibly useful and helps keep everything well organized.

Cons

I really do not have any complaints about this software. Updating records and keeping track of information is very simple and convenient.

Can't complain

Pros

Its quite convenient and user-friendly. Searching for information and getting to what I need is simple and the whole system is easy to navigate. I really appreciate how uncomplicated it is to use.

Easy to learn

Pros

It is not complex at all and it doesn't take long to learn how everything works.

Cons

There wasn't really anything that stood out as a problem since I didn't use it heavily. If anything, they could have offered more informational training sessions for the people using it.

Pros

There's a lot of flexibility in what you can do with it which makes the platform useful for a wide range of needs.

Brilliant screening tools

Pros

Being able to coordinate with other organizations to meet people's needs is a huge advantage and the screening tools also do a good job of filtering out scammers.

Cons

It still is not widely adopted and some local organizations do not really understand the value it offers.

Outstanding customer service

Pros

It's very simple and the customer support has been outstanding. The concept is also unique because it lets service agencies track the help they provide while also communicating with other agencies which helps prevent duplication and makes it possible to deliver better, more wrap-around service.

Cons

Since we're a small nonprofit, the only downside for us is the cost and that really comes down to our size.

Private messaging is a nice feature

Pros

Quite userfriendly overall. One thing I really appreciate is being able to keep messages private so not everyone can see what's happening with each client.

Keeps me informed

Pros

Being able to print flyers from different organizations and share them right away has been really useful. CharityTracker keeps me informed and connected with other organizations and it helps me stay engaged so I can step in and support whenever I'm able.

Cons

One thing that confused me was creating a post and not seeing a way to upload both the front and back of a document at the same time. Once I attached one document to a post, there didn't seem to be any option to add a second attachment to that same post.

Pros

It pulls all of the information into one place which makes it much simpler to share needs with other nonprofits.

Cons

In our case, we do not have much need to use CharityTracker externally because our organization is cause-driven rather than a service or needs-based nonprofit.

Lets you view support you've provided

Pros

When I brought it into our United Way community, the goal was to reduce duplicate services across local agencies and it has really helped with that. One of the biggest benefits is being able to track not just the assistance a client has already received from other organizations but also the support your own agency has provided. That broader view makes coordination much more effective.

Cons

My only negative comment really is not about the software itself. The issue is with people who do not realize that even if their organization is considered "confidential" and they cannot enter names into the system, it is still an incredibly useful resource for them.
