It has become a big part of how we operate and we depend on the information it gives us quite a bit. It's also connected us to a broader network of organizations working with the same population which has been really valuable. On top of that, it helps us stay informed and organized and the option to print custom reports is a definite plus.
Cons
There's honestly not much to dislike about Charity Tracker. If I had to point out one frustration, it would be that the reports include a lot of extra fields I don't really need so I end up sorting through more information than necessary. I'd really like more control to customize the reports and keep only the fields that matter to us.

Pros
Having everything in one program has been really helpful and the software is very simple to use. Searching for people by full names or even just part of a name works well which saves time. The reporting options are also useful since reports can be printed using different criteria. Another big advantage is being able to share information with other organizations. We use it to stay current on the people we are assisting and to share updates with our local co-op.
Cons
The only real challenge was entering all of our older information from past years. There may be a way to merge older records but in our case, the previous data was only stored in an Excel spreadsheet and not in another program. So it was not really a problem with the software itself, more a result of how we had been keeping information before.

From a monthly cost standpoint, it is fairly priced and it includes all the key features and functionality needed to keep track of the required reports.
Cons
Getting data and reports exported can be a bit awkward and it takes some time to set everything up properly for use in MS Excel.

Pros
Even without being particularly tech-savvy, it feels very simple to use. It does a really good job of tracking the services people have already received which makes it easier to support them better going forward. I also appreciate being able to view client demographics since that helps identify who needs assistance most. On top of that, whenever I've had a question or needed help, customer support has been just a phone call away.
Cons
The reporting feature works well enough but it could definitely be more advanced. It would also be helpful if the fields could auto-populate.

Pros
Being able to add or remove sections whenever needed makes the system feel very flexible. Report generation is fast and linking client files is simple while keeping them simple to update and edit.
Cons
It only supports the current service area. My work covers regions across the country so having the option to connect all of those areas would make it much more useful.

Pros
Such a wonderful concept. Having access to this much information is really helpful and the tool works well for volunteers who have a reasonable level of computer knowledge.
Cons
Some of our older volunteers still have a hard time with it so age-specific instructions would be helpful and would make the process feel less stressful for them. Updating client information also feels a little bogged down, with too many back-and-forth steps just to make changes.

Keeping track of the program inputs my company needs is much more simple with this software. Editing reports is easy and it's also clear which reports need to be run. It was a little difficult to get used to at first but once I learned it, it became much easier to work with.
Cons
I'd really like a way to make corrections without having to start over from the beginning. That would save a lot of time especially since I have to fix errors pretty often.

Cons
