“Provides complete information”
Pros
It gives me more complete information about the clients I'm working with which really helps when providing support. I also appreciate that the system stays up to date. I just wish everyone entered release of information details more consistently.
Cons
The annoying part is having to sign in every single time I want to use it. It would be a lot more convenient if it could remember my login information.

Pros
I really appreciate that I don't need to fill in every field to locate someone already in the system. It lets me pull up a referred person pretty quickly without sitting through a long wait. I'm also able to review notes on individuals which gives useful background on their previous requests. That added history helps me see whether someone has been regularly depending on churches for assistance.
Cons
It would be helpful to have a dedicated feedback section for recommendations when assistance isn't provided. For example, adding fields like whether the person is able to work (yes/no), how many months they've been unemployed, whether they're willing to attend church at this time (yes/no) and whether they're receiving any counseling--and if so, what kind--would make the system more complete.

“Convenient search feature”
Pros
Found it user-friendly. I can look people up using partial names, phone numbers and other fields which makes searching really convenient. Reporting is also simple to work with because I can customize the content I need and once a report is built, I can run it again for different date ranges without having to start over.
Cons
Our setup is pretty basic and we don't connect with other organizations so I really haven't run into any limitations that impact how I use the system. I also can't say much about support since I've never needed to contact them. As for value for money, I'm not able to judge that because I don't know what my church paid for the software.

“Been a lifesaver”
Pros
Its easy to handle and it has made a real difference in how we work with others in the community. It lets us connect with other agencies, see what resources are available locally and share information with everyone through one system. Because of that, we're able to support clients better. It has also helped us build stronger relationships with different agencies and organizations. Through CharityTracker, I've even come across community organizations I didn't know were there before which now allows me to refer clients to more agencies in the area.
Cons
The search feature is where I run into trouble. Even when I know the information is in the system, I still can't seem to find what I'm looking for with that tool. The search option really needs clearer guidance or more specific instructions on how to use it properly.

Pros
Jumping between client records is really simple which makes a big difference when I'm handling several clients at once. It's quick to move in and out of the system and overall there's a lot to appreciate about the service.
Cons
The only hiccup has been communicating with CharityTracker when I'm trying to get my username installed permanently. Other than that, I'm very happy with the service.

Pros
Very simple to get the hang of and whenever there's any uncertainty, the support team is available to help. The client history is also easy to access and when the hosting service agency enters the details properly, the information is all there and useful.
Cons
If a client's name isn't spelled exactly the way the original representative entered it, it becomes very hard to find that person in the system. If you end up creating the client again as a new record, it can show up differently and cause duplication. Even right now, I'm trying to send this information back and the system won't accept it, saying it's taking too long to process.

Looking up people already stored in the system is very simple and it's also helpful that the software lets you spot whether someone is a duplicate before adding them.

Pros
Its amazing how simple it is to fix data while still being able to see exactly who made each change. The financial section is also a big plus. Out of all the databases I have to work with, this one is the most simple to use.
Cons
The search tool could definitely be more precise. I've also reported that some people who no longer work at our agency are still listed as users in the database. That feels like a potential security concern.

Pros
Running network membership management has become much more manageable with this software. As the network manager, I can handle the needs of every agency in our network quickly and efficiently without having to rely on a support team to make updates since I'm able to take care of those changes myself. On the occasions when I have needed customer support, their response has been immediate.
Cons
The part I like least is the out-of-pocket cost for each individual agency. It gets expensive when you need to have multiple users on one account.

Using it has made a real difference because the system is simple to use and the name search works really well. I can pull reports without much trouble and the best part is moving away from all the files and paperwork. It has made serving clients much more manageable.

I can't print case notes for a specific date range. It always prints every note which ends up wasting paper when I only need the most recent updates for a file.

Love the search flexibility. I can pull up a client using SSN, name, date of birth, address or phone number which makes it really quick to find the right person without any hassle.
Cons
It would be helpful to sort assistance by category especially separating monetary aid from food, clothing, household items and similar support. Our benevolence committee focuses more on the financial assistance provided than those other types. Even so, it's still quite simple to review the assistance each person or family has received.

Pros
Being able to view not just the applicant's assistance history but the history of other family members too is amazing. It's also very useful to keep notes on what the person has shared with us and with other organizations. Another feature I appreciate is being able to send alerts to other organizations when necessary.
Cons
I can't view records across county lines. If someone previously lived in another county and then moved into ours, I'm not able to see their history from that earlier location.

Ability to send messages or emails to other organizations directly inside the system is really useful especially when a referral needs to be made or an outcome has to be shared.
Cons
This isn't a problem caused by the developers but unless an agency uses it as its main database, most organizations aren't going to enter the same findings twice because it takes too much time. That makes it hard to tell whether someone has already provided assistance.
