Adding new matters and handling trust fund deposits feels simple on my end. I don't have to jump through extra steps and that saves me time during a busy day.

Honestly, it forces me to use QuickBooks Online, whereas lots of other software, like PCLaw, work perfectly fine as standalone applications.

From my experience, using the core features comes naturally. Creating a new client, opening a matter, or putting money into a trust account all feel clear and manageable without confusion.

the QuickBooks integration is awkward and sometimes hard to navigate and whenever I have to change an invoice I am forced to make that adjustment directly in QBO, since Lean Law won't let me edit invoices there. In addition, the interface feels quite dated overall and often comes across like older, legacy software.

Pros

As someone who uses this daily, the cloud-based setup works really well for me. I can review and adjust my team's time entries with ease which makes staying on top of hours much less stressful.

amazing interfaces and clear directions make it so easy to use, even for people who are not that tech-savvy. I've got colleagues who are not very familiar with technology and the simple design really helps them avoid frustration. everything is so simple and I don't have to waste time explaining how to use it.

It's really easy to learn and use. the web-based interface is clean, simple and easy to read. It covers all the basics like time entry, billing and trust accounting which is something QuickBooks didn't do very well. When I first started using both QuickBooks and this software, I thought it would be overwhelming but it actually worked out better than I expected. QuickBooks is more complex but it integrates with it in such a way that it's separated but still works perfectly together. I've been really impressed with how it all functions.

More of a bug than a dislike but if you leave the software open in your browser for a while, you can type in a time or expense entry. But when you hit "Enter," it tells you to log in again and you lose your entry.

it is super simple to use. there's no clutter... no unnecessary buttons or tabs that confuse me. It's really interactive and I don't have to spend any time figuring things out. everything just makes sense right from the start.

It does not offer other legal services like case management which I think it should.

i really enjoy the ease of use and the smooth integration. it takes the stress out of accounting for lawyers which is a huge relief. I no longer worry about messing up my financial records. Plus the customer service is always excellent. Whenever I have a question or need help with something, they are quick to respond and always provide great support. It's such a great tool for keeping everything organized and running smoothly.

I'm not a fan of the app on my phone. It needs to be easier to enter time and there seems to be a limit on how much text you can put in.

The timekeeping features are fantastic. As an attorney, tracking billable hours is crucial and this software gives me everything I need to manage that. I don't have to worry about double entry or errors ... it all just works together so smoothly.

Really, there's nothing I dislike about it. I think it's almost perfect for what I need. QuickBooks doesn't have a good built-in time tracker so this software really fills in what's missing.

It doesn't work well with QuickBooks and there are features that need workarounds. Because of that, we are considering switching. We might keep the software but the inability to work with other accounting software makes it a dealbreaker for us.

When I click on matters, it only shows me the cases I am linked to but I'd prefer to see all of the firm's cases instead.

integration process was smooth and easy. Using it has really cut down on the hours I used to spend invoicing clients. interface is very user-friendly and their customer service is outstanding. Plus it's cost-effective which is a huge benefit for small law firms like mine. I highly recommend it!

I appreciate like how it integrates with QuickBooks Online especially when it comes to depositing into trust and making payments from trust for invoices. It's so much easier than I thought it would be and it's saved me so much time and effort.

If I forget to switch back from using the undeposited funds account, it'll pay unevenly from trust and the liability account without warning.
