“Used for undergraduate schoolwork
Pros
The option on Blackboard to view all grades at once eliminating the need to check each class individually is appreciated.
Cons
The platform could enhance differentiation between classes possibly through visual cues as the current hyperlink-only system may be overwhelming.

“Avoid this program at all costs. Use literally anything else.
Pros
This software falls short compared to others; the ability to create rubrics is its only notable feature but even that is done better by competing programs.
Cons
The essay editor in Blackboard has a persistent problem where entire feedback passages vanish if the mouse is in the wrong area while typing. Using one editing tool like a highlighter locks out another such as the comment field unless the screen is refreshed erasing comments not anchored by a highlight. This issue is well-documented across our school.

“BlackBoard as a student
Pros
Blackboard is my preferred choice surpassing other school programs. Navigating is easy with a centralized location for assignments and a calendar for tracking deadlines. Emailing peers within Blackboard especially for projects with unfamiliar partners is a standout feature.

I can't find any drawbacks to it.

Pros
Effective for tracking courses and assignments though the user interface could be improved.

“Undergraduate Learning with Blackboard Learn
Pros
While effective during my undergraduate years the user interface may seem outdated in 3030 compared to modern web applications unless they've revamped it.
Cons
It was a bit clunky at times occasionally frustrating but still effective. Potential issues may stem from incomplete student user rights configuration and insufficient training from the university.

“Blackboard - Really clunky!
Pros
The software's primary strength lies in serving as a comprehensive course management system.
Cons
Blackboard especially as set up in our university feels clunky. Drag-and-drop operations require multiple clicks and many functions could be more efficiently executed in other software. Template imposition and course duplication while possible are cumbersome and lack flexibility.

“Blackboard Learn is Decent
Pros
Favoring Blackboard over Canvas though possibly not as flexible as Moodle. It's stable and more reliable than Canvas.
Cons
Blackboard could benefit from added flexibility features especially in setting up quizzes and exams where it lags behind platforms like Moodle.

“Okay but expensive
Pros
A traditional software with excellent capabilities for extracting information across courses simplifying course evaluations.
Cons
It's not very user-friendly and feels clunky requiring easier interfacing for both students and teachers. Clear flow guides for online courses would be beneficial.
