“modern look”
Pros
Cornerstone has a modern, refreshed look and feels very user-friendly overall. It also gives us plenty of options for delivering training across our global workforce.
Cons
On the admin side, it can be a bit less convenient at times. For certain types of training, you have to jump between multiple sections just to upload it and make it available to users.

“Learner home is designed well”
Pros
The learner home interface is well designed and it's very simple for end users to navigate and understand.
Cons
the app still doesn't fully support Tests so they can't be completed there. Since many of our learning objects include them, that makes it hard to effectively reach our field associates without that functionality.

“Diverse features”
Pros
Cornerstone is a powerful platform with a wide range of features that really add value to the organization. It offers a lot of functionality which makes it a strong system overall.
Cons
The admin side can be difficult to navigate and doesn't feel very user-friendly. Managing it is more complicated than I'd prefer and training people to become admins is not as simple as it should be. A more user-friendly setup with drag-and-drop functionality would make administration much easier.

“ability to assign extra courses to employees”
Pros
The reporting is helpful for tracking any training I need. It's also very useful that I can personally assign extra training courses to employees whenever needed.
Cons
At times, the system says a certain training is required for an account but once you open that account, the training isn't listed anywhere. Even searching for it by name brings up nothing which can be frustrating.

“Useful for education at work”
Pros
Cornerstone OnDemand has been a really useful platform for continuing education at work. Signing up for classes is simple, navigating the system is simple and checking your transcript is quick and convenient. I also appreciate being able to search for courses and recommend them to coworkers who could benefit from them in their career growth. It has made a real difference for our company's Education Department by helping deliver more training opportunities across our regional offices.
Cons
A few parts of Cornerstone OnDemand feel somewhat dated. The overall user experience could definitely use an update although it still gets the job done well.

“Lovely interface and clear tasks”
Pros
The interface looks good and makes it pretty clear to see what needs to get done. The only exception is that due dates can sometimes be easy to miss when courses are embedded inside a larger curriculum.
Cons
Some of the reporting tools make it difficult to track down exactly what still needs attention for overdue training.

“Good Ongoing Updates”
Pros
The extensive customization options and user-friendly interface make navigating and configuring the system a breeze. Cornerstone's continual updates enhance system functionality, making it more intuitive for employees.
Cons
Some areas of the system require too many clicks to navigate, and sending out communications has to be done manually. There's no function for creating "mailing lists" for specific user groups.

“Great LMS for Larger Businesses with Extensive Training Needs”
Pros
The capability to create groups and systematically assign training to them is invaluable.
Cons
Reporting is not always intuitive for me, perhaps due to how our company has set it up. When assigning training as part of a bundle like "New hire" or "Annual recertification," individual classes within the bundle do not generate reports by their course name.

“automates training”
Pros
It has been a powerful platform for automating training across both large and small companies. One thing that really stands out is how configurable the portals are. We've built several custom portals for our clients and they've been very happy with them. It also makes it simple for students to locate and request training and it works especially well for handling compliance training enrollments.
Cons
One drawback is that there are only a limited number of APIs available for connecting the LMS with our other systems. The testing features also feel quite outdated and really need to be refreshed. While some parts of the system offer a lot of configuration options, other areas are not customizable at all. It would be much better if every aspect of the LMS could be configured.

“customizable permissions”
Pros
Adding course evaluations directly to an ILT and its instructor has been very simple which has made that process much easier for us. It's also been really helpful to customize permissions across different admin groups so facilitators can have the access they need without being given full access to everything. Another feature I've appreciated is the ability to build custom pages and tailored welcome pages for different groups. Overall the platform offers a lot of flexibility and customization which has been a big plus.
Cons
The biggest gap right now is reporting. A stable, production-ready Reporting 2.0 really can't arrive soon enough. We need stronger out-of-the-box reporting options that non-admin users can rely on especially for pulling reports on entire groups instead of being limited to their direct reports only.

“Loving the learner home”
Pros
Cornerstone keeps rolling out new releases and updates which shows they really listen to the community and keep looking for ways to improve the system. The learning management system works very well and is simple to navigate. The new Learner Home also makes the whole experience feel a lot more engaging and exciting.
Cons
The test engine still needs improvement especially with a more modern interface. It is not very user-friendly to use right now and comes with quite a few limitations.
