Using it has been really simple and I appreciate that there are plenty of training resources available whenever I need extra help.

Cons

Honestly I don't have any complaints. I love the whole experience and being able to quickly access the information I need has been excellent.

“Custom reporting is fantastic”

Pros

The custom reporting feature is definitely the standout part of Cornerstone. It's the best functionality for pulling the kind of reports we actually need.

Cons

Some of the default reports still can't be customized which feels a bit limiting.

“Training access that really helps”

Pros

Having a way to manage training for everyone while also giving the right people across our agency access to reporting and course management has been a huge improvement. Different users can handle the tasks they need based on their level of functionality and that has really changed how we work. We no longer have to rely so much on our LMS administrator because facilitators are able to take care of many things on their own.

Cons

At times, the platform feels a little buggy to use. It comes across like the developers added a newer interface on top of an older one and sometimes you still have to go back into that older, less user-friendly area to get to the full set of features. That makes the overall user experience less appealing. The settings could also be much clearer than they are now.

Pros

Custom reports, training registration and playlists are some of the features I rely on most and they add a lot of value to the platform.

Cons

Creating custom email formats takes more time than it should especially when you consider how important the task is compared with the effort and time required to complete it.

Pros

Cornerstone remains a leading name in the industry and the platform has a lot of capability behind it. In general, they've also been improving how they communicate with customers about the direction Cornerstone is taking.

Cons

At the same time, the system feels like it was developed across separate environments and that really comes through. Different parts of the platform don't have a consistent look and the backend lacks uniformity as well. The Learning LMS especially feels behind modern technology, with very small thumbnail images, videos where progress can't be tracked and only a mark-as-complete option which hurts user trust, plus no real ability to add audio files among the platform's other technical limitations.

“Keeps employees accountable”

Pros

Found it simple to handle. There are plenty of training options available and it makes it quick to see which employees are compliant and which ones are not. Building out the training curriculum to match our regulatory requirements is also very simple and efficient.

Cons

At this time, I really do not have any complaints about the LMS program or its content.

It is undeniably effective, it effortlessly tracks completed coursework and offers intuitive navigation.

The visual design is not as appealing as I expected; it feels somewhat bland in its layout.

Cornerstone provides an extensive array of resources for both users and administrators, with customizable security settings and regular updates enhancing its appeal.

Cons

Certain older features could benefit from a makeover. Response times for submitted questions are sluggish. Instead of removing features to make room for new ones, it would be advantageous to retain those that work well while introducing additional features. Improvements to the mobile app are necessary to provide users with a complete experience comparable to the web version.

“Too complex and time-consuming”

Pros

It's a powerful platform that can handle complicated business rules and requirements. Over time, it has built up a wide range of features so if you're able to really learn the system, it can offer a workable solution.

Cons

Using it is not user-friendly at all for end users and from an admin side it's incredibly hard to manage. There are far too many tabs and steps just to publish a course which makes the whole process feel excessive and frustratingly time-consuming. Assignments and reporting are also much more complicated than they need to be. I also attempted to use it for customer training in an extended enterprise setup but it wasn't flexible enough and definitely wasn't cost-effective for what we needed. I was honestly relieved when we moved to a different LMS.

Certain functionality may be hidden or unavailable until enabled by the vendor, making it easy to overlook helpful updates. The mix of old and new functionality can be confusing, as updates are introduced gradually, leading to a somewhat disjointed experience.

Customer Service, while improving, still lacks timeliness. ATS, while making progress, still has several issues to resolve, notably regarding how rehires are managed, which can cause system disruptions for external registrants being identified as internal.
