“Simply Awful”
Pros
While there are few issues, the Reporting 2.0 tool stands out for its simplicity and occasional glitches.
Cons
Where do I begin? Here are a few key points, The customer service is the worst I have ever encountered with a vendor. - Responses to emails and technical support tickets are slow, even for high-priority issues.

“Doesnt take much effort to get started”
Pros
Cornerstone Learning keeps things appropriately simple which makes it a convenient platform for uploading SCORM-compliant eLearning. Tracking is fairly basic as well so it doesn't take much skill or experience to get started. The version with the latest updates feels much more user-friendly and I really appreciate how interconnected the system is. There's also a lot the product is capable of even if my organization doesn't have the budget to purchase the added features that would really strengthen it and embed it into the company culture. When you include integrations, there's very little Cornerstone can't handle from a personnel perspective. On top of that, Cornerstone continues to update the platform based on ongoing user feedback which is something I value.
Cons
At the same time, development moves pretty slowly. If something is missing or doesn't work the way you need it to, the usual response from CSOD is to log it in "Suggestion City." That's part of their Connect module for customers and is supposed to be a place to interact with other users. Suggestion City does contain some very good ideas and feedback but unfortunately it often feels like CSOD isn't really paying attention to it. For example, several customers have requested the ability to change the date format yet there has been no acknowledgment or update on that in nine years. Certain parts of the platform also really need improvement such as Certifications. When those issues are raised, you're typically encouraged to open a thread in the Success Center but it often turns into users responding to themselves or to other frustrated customers instead of getting meaningful action.

“Cornerstone OnDemand is my new best friend”
Pros
Cornerstone OnDemand excels in learning management, offering robust features like Exception Reporting and comprehensive support options.
Cons
It is inconvenient that when you 'page back,' you have to re-enter your criteria. It would be helpful if selections were retained when going back one page, rather than having to start over each time. Hopefully, they're working on a solution for this.

“Powerful reporting”
Pros
Working as an administrator in Cornerstone has been very simple. Assigning learning packages takes very little time and the reporting tools are really strong. The most important data is clearly highlighted which makes it simple to spot key metrics right away.
Cons
On the user side, the quiz interface could definitely be improved and made a bit more user-friendly so people at any skill level can navigate it without confusion.

“Excellent compliance training platform”
Pros
From a user perspective, this learning system feels outstanding. It has a polished look and it was exactly what our organization needed to manage compliance training and more. It includes all the features that are actually useful.
Cons
The part I'm not happy with is the pricing. It's not very budget-friendly for our organization.

“Modern design with lots of options”
Pros
The platform feels user-friendly and modern, with plenty of options to choose from. There are also many training resources available for admins which really helps and it's clear the software is constantly evolving and improving over time.
Cons
On the admin side, the experience could still be more user-friendly and support can sometimes take longer than expected to respond. I'd also like to see CSOD put even more focus on the suggestions clients submit through the Client Success Center.

“Highly customizable”
Pros
One of the best parts of this product is how much we can customize it, along with how user-friendly it is and the ability to run targeted reports for different LOs. We're able to brand emails with our own logos, set custom thumbnails for each LO and it's also simple to train other team members in the department to use it effectively.
Cons
The most frustrating part while learning the system has been managing curriculum versioning every time we update an LO. That said we know Cornerstone is actively working on a fix for this and we really appreciate that.

“handles a large volume of users”
Pros
Across our organization, the system gives us a lot of flexibility and enough options to support the needs of a diverse enterprise. Different teams can use different parts of the platform based on what works best for them which helps us keep a lot of processes and information within one system. It also handles a large volume of users accessing training at the same time which has been especially helpful during compliance training rollouts for our full user base.
Cons
Some of the administrative functions feel more complex than they should be. Because of that, certain tasks end up taking extra time when they really should be quicker and more efficient.

“Keeps the team connected”
Pros
Across every part of our business, this platform helps us reach everyone from senior leaders to frontline employees. It gives us a better way to connect with people, keep them engaged and understand what they need in order to grow. That alignment has been especially valuable, being able to tie individual employee goals to broader organizational objectives through learning and development has played a big role in building a supportive culture that ultimately helps us serve our customers better.
Cons
There really hasn't been much for me to dislike. If anything, it has highlighted some of my own gaps when it comes to using software but at the same time that challenge has pushed me to improve which I actually appreciate.

“Adjusts according to your requirements”
Pros
It gives you a lot of flexibility which is one of its biggest strengths. It's a powerful platform that lets you configure things in a way that fits your organization and how you want to work.
Cons
The system still feels a bit buggy in certain places although it's clear they've been putting more effort into improving those areas lately. For instance, the learning object details page used to look very outdated but it was recently redesigned and now feels much more modern. Some parts of re-launching and the way that activity is reflected in reporting still don't work very well. Reporting also comes with a pretty steep learning curve and it can take time to figure out how to pull the exact information you need.

“Dedicated staff”
Pros
It is a powerhouse when it comes to delivering training and it can be an excellent solution for organizations that know how they want to use it. To really make it work well, a business needs a clear strategy for how the system will fit into its processes. A lot of the frustration seems to happen when people expect Cornerstone to be plug-and-play because it definitely is not. It takes dedicated staff and ongoing effort to get the full value out of it. One thing I've appreciated is how much the platform has developed over the six years I've been using it. It keeps evolving and making an effort to respond to client and customer needs. I also thought they handled the COVID-19 period well especially by adapting their conference and continuing to deliver content during such a challenging time.
Cons
Some areas of the system still are not very user-friendly and can be hard to work through especially certifications. There are also sections that feel outdated from a user experience standpoint. That said it is encouraging that Cornerstone listens to feedback and has plans in place to modernize those older parts of the platform.

“organized learner experience”
Pros
After looking at a few LMS options, it became clear that our organization was relying on multiple systems across the enterprise. We chose Cornerstone Learning as our enterprise LMS and over the last few years we've been moving different client groups onto it. The biggest benefit is that the learner experience is now much more organized, people only need to use one system and all of their completed learning is tracked in a single place. I also really appreciate the direction of the platform and the experience offered through Learned Home.
Cons
I'd like to see the ability to update custom emails for multiple courses in bulk. Another small frustration is that I wish the LMS connected a bit better with the Performance side. For example, when a review task is launched, it would be helpful if training completions could be displayed directly within that task.

“Everything in one place”
Pros
Having everything connected in one system has been a big upgrade for us especially the product integration, the available tools and the flexibility in assigning learning modules to different end users. We moved from a fairly basic LMS with very few options to one that offers so many variables we still have not come close to using it to its full potential for the best learner experience. Cornerstone University has also been an outstanding resource and the Lippincott integration has added a lot of value to our overall system.
Cons
My biggest frustration is the level of customer service from CS. Getting in touch with a live person for a specific issue can be extremely difficult. That said once you finally reach someone, the support itself is very good. Another major gap is that CS does not document or track CEUs which is critical for a healthcare system so we have had to bring in another vendor to handle that. New clients should also be aware of how much time, rebuilding and rework is involved in setting up the platform, loading data and fully recreating all of the learning objects.

“Tracks compliance”
Pros
Beyond tracking compliance which is essential for us, our Learning Portal also gives us a way to deliver additional training to employees on topics they're interested in. It also helps us automate many parts of ILT which saves a lot of time. We especially love the playlists feature and have been using it to curate content so people can quickly find learning resources on specific topics, like manager training.
Cons
The wide range of customization options is both a benefit and a downside. It's nice to have that level of flexibility but it can also be confusing to figure out which settings are the right fit for our needs. Because of that, there's quite a bit of room for error.

“shows the learning options available”
Pros
It clearly shows the learning options available to employees and what they're actually engaging with. That visibility makes it much easier to make informed decisions and guide learning strategy.
Cons
Some parts of the system still rely on an older UI. Even though it makes sense to me as an admin, it can be harder to bring new admins up to speed and help them feel confident handling their own tasks in the system.

“Amazing automated learning assignments”
Pros
Automated learning assignments are one of the best parts of Cornerstone. The reporting features are powerful and there are plenty of customization options available for anyone who needs more detailed setup and tracking.
Cons
A few areas of the platform still aren't very user-friendly for either admins or end users. The newer pages feel like an improvement but some of the older ones still need to be refreshed to create a better overall user experience.
