Effective for customer training

Pros

Our team has had a really positive experience with it especially when it comes to matching our branding, look and overall feel. When people visit our dashboard, it comes across as professional. We've relied on it for customer training for years and learners can self-register and complete their training without much trouble. The system is dependable so I'm not constantly concerned about users losing access to their courses. Docebo has also broadened its capabilities over time and we now use features like Teams integration for Workshops, Salesforce integration for customer data social Learning, Google Analytics, Multidomain and the ability to present training as either individual courses or full catalogs.

Cons

The biggest frustration has been product support. Basic questions usually get quick replies through chat but anything beyond that can take a very long time to resolve sometimes even months. We've had to push hard to get certain issues escalated before they were finally addressed. At one stage, this was frustrating enough that we considered switching to another LMS vendor. In the end, we stayed because the platform offers a lot but we've definitely had to work around the weak support experience. Part of the issue seems to be that they keep rolling out new features before they feel fully polished which creates extra stress for both customers and their support team. We'd really like to see new releases come with more refinement because adopting newer functionality often means dealing with repeated back-and-forth over the problems that come with it.

user-friendly setup and navigation

Pros

Getting started with Docebo feels quick because the features are simple to navigate and the admin tools are very user-friendly to use.

Cons

Reporting in Docebo has improved over time but I'd still like to have more customization options available.

Docebo Review

Pros

Docebo's consistent growth and excellent validation tools make it stand out. Startup and implementation were a breeze, thanks to seamless data migration.

Cons

At times, the response time from the technical support team was subpar, and customization options were limited based on organizational roles.

Simpler compared to other systems

Pros

Compared with other LMS platforms I've worked in, it feels far more user-friendly and much more flexible for end users. The interface is highly customizable and the backend is refreshingly simple. With some other systems especially ones like SumTotal, the admin side can feel like a mess of buried menus, confusing field names and buggy course or curriculum setup. Docebo doesn't have that problem. It feels clean, modern and fast and it doesn't demand that you be some kind of LMS expert just to navigate it. Unlike a lot of legacy LMS products, it doesn't feel weighed down or outdated. The localization tool is one of the biggest advantages for us. Having the interface available in so many languages right out of the box has been a huge benefit for our international audience. Our teammates in the Russia/CIS region were especially happy to see options like Bosnian and Kazakh included. The default translations are not always exactly how we want them but the ability to customize the localization text is very convenient and makes that much less of an issue. Even though the platform isn't flawless, I appreciate that Docebo keeps improving it over time. A lot of the items I had on my wish list have eventually been addressed in product updates. The addition of the central repository was especially valuable to me because it made updating SCORM courses much simpler, without having to worry about keeping the manifest file identical every time. On top of that, everyone I've dealt with at Docebo has been pleasant and professional. Their support team has also been responsive and genuinely helpful.

Cons

Webex integration has historically been one of the trickier areas for us although that may be at least partly due to Webex itself rather than Docebo alone. In general, I've felt that Docebo is much stronger when it comes to managing digital learning than live training though I also haven't explored the live-learning functionality recently. Managing power users can also be frustrating at times. I'd also like to see more styling and customization options in the extended enterprise feature that don't require CSS. As it stands, there doesn't seem to be a way to restrict which catalogs appear in the public-facing extended enterprise catalog which makes that feature unusable for our needs. A more capable notification builder would also be a welcome improvement especially one that lets you create polished-looking emails without needing HTML knowledge. From time to time, I've run into random or hard-to-explain issues. In one case, I had to modify a system-generated message through the localization tool which felt odd even if it made some sense in context. That said support has usually been able to help resolve those problems. Some administrative tasks have also felt more manual and time-consuming than they should be although the platform does seem to be improving steadily. Another area that could really use work is the ability to see an overall view of a learner's progress or status in one place. More broadly, Docebo still has room to grow as a tool for internal onboarding and training. There is a certification tracking feature but we struggled to get it working the way we needed. On top of that, ad hoc learning is still difficult to track effectively.

Amazing communication

Pros

One of the best parts of using Docebo has been how well they communicate with our organization, along with the quick turnaround we get from both the help desk and our customer team. From an admin standpoint, the platform is simple to work with and the overall infrastructure has helped us expand our learning portfolio and add more value to our products over the years.

Cons

It doesn't offer enough networking or communication features. We're trying to encourage more idea-sharing, conversations and best-practice exchanges but the current interface and infrastructure don't really support that.

Docebo is a great LMS for so many industries to fully engage with their users

Pros

it prioritizes the end user, resulting in increased engagement. The variety of add-ins adds significant value to the platform, enhancing Impact Learning.

Cons

There are areas for potential growth within the platform, such as the absence of a gap analysis tool for content. However, Docebo utilizes its community site for users to share ideas and suggestions, which can inform future enhancements.

customer support never lets us down

Pros

A big plus is Docebo Connect, along with how flexible the notifications are. It also makes it really clear to separate classroom training from e-learning which helps a lot in day-to-day use. The reporting feature is especially strong and gives access to plenty of useful data insights. Customer support has also been excellent, whether reaching out through tickets or using the chat option.

Cons

Docebo Connect is not included in the standard package from the start. There have also been problems with the Google Calendar integration especially when dealing with time zone changes like British Summer Time.

You can shape the platform around your needs

Pros

You can customize the pages. You can set up one homepage for all learners or separate homepages for different groups and each one can be duplicated or tailored with a wide range of widgets. You can even build different pages for specific programs within your organization so it really gives you the flexibility to shape the platform around your needs. Course organization is excellent too. Using categories and folders to structure courses makes everything much easier to locate especially from the admin side.

Cons

reporting is not live and only updates every 24 hours. You can request a data refresh when needed but it takes quite a while to complete which is frustrating when you are working under a tight deadline. I also think the observation checklists are somewhat confusing. They exist in a separate creation area and can be assigned through scheduling but they can also appear inside a course as learning material. On top of that, there is no actual reporting available for observation checklists, only a dashboard that cannot be exported. That makes it hard to track and report on them properly.

Quick course building and useful LMS features

Pros

Putting together courses only takes a few minutes which makes the setup process really simple. Checking user history is also very simple and having features like Gamification and Channels included in the LMS adds a lot of value.

Cons

Notifications don't have filtering options when you're managing them. It also doesn't support re-certification for annual required training unless you delete records from the previous year.

Cumbersome, myopic UX and sub-par technical support

Pros

While exploring gamification seems promising, I am disappointed that the demo environment requires external resources for customizations.

Cons

The inability to easily preview the learner experience ranks high on my list of functional limitations.

Incredible team behind the platform

Pros

The biggest strength of Docebo has been the people behind the platform. The sales team really went the extra mile and even after the contract was signed, they continued to be available whenever questions came up. The integration team also takes time to understand our specific use cases, asks thoughtful follow-up questions and makes sure they fully grasp what we need Docebo to handle. When we cannot find what we need in Docebo's extensive online resources, their staff is always there to help. On top of that, the platform itself is user-friendly and our training department has had no trouble navigating it. It has already saved the team many hours of work.

Cons

Like any software added to a business, there are always going to be some limitations. The difference is how you handle them. Since we are still in the implementation phase, we have been able to find workarounds for any limitations we have come across up to this point.

Works perfectly

Pros

The reason it works so well for us is how versatile and flexible it is as an LMS. The level of customization is excellent, from changing the main tile colors to adding your own logo. Getting users onboarded to the platform is also pretty simple and there are several import options available which makes setup much easier. The platform performs very well overall and I've been using it to build our channels, install supported apps and set up the courses our organization needs.

Cons

A few important features still feel missing especially the ability to test updates before they go live or preview notifications ahead of launch. There are also some inconsistencies with courses and tests, like being able to modify questions while a test is already in progress.

gives us control over the platform's look

Pros

I really appreciate how much control it gives over the platform's look and feel. It's also nice having built-in course creation options like quizzes, surveys and HTML pages for content which makes development more convenient. Another big advantage is how seriously the Docebo team takes user feedback, they actively listen and respond within the community and that stands out.

Cons

If I could add anything, I'd love the option to use JavaScript although I understand why a lot of platforms avoid offering that. It would also be nice to see improvements to the gamification tools and the eCommerce features. More flexibility with how coupons can be used would be a welcome upgrade as well.

Revolutionary product

Pros

Docebo's Learn platform really feels like it's pushing the LMS space ahead. The level of innovation stands out and the Docebo team consistently pays attention to feedback from the LMS community to understand the best ways people are actually using the product.

Cons

There honestly aren't many drawbacks to choosing it. If I had to point to one, it would be that I wish the employee environment felt a little more stable though I also understand how difficult it was for companies to retain staff during COVID.

Keeps evolving

Pros

I really like how it keeps evolving based on what users actually need. Instead of rolling out updates just because the company wants to, Docebo lets users suggest improvements and vote on the changes that matter most which makes the platform feel much more customer-focused.

Cons

There honestly isn't much to complain about. If I had to point out anything, I'd say the gamification features could be a bit more developed and the reporting could offer more flexibility since having access to even more data would be helpful.

Simple to customize branding

Pros

Right away Docebo felt user-friendly and flexible to use. The platform looks polished and I really appreciate how simple it is to customize the branding so it matches our needs. Another big advantage is how quickly the help desk responds whenever support is needed.

Had everything we needed

Pros

Among the LMS platforms I've seen, this one feels one of the most professional. I only had access to the demo but even from that it was clear it includes everything needed if your company wants high-quality learning tools, whether for internal staff training or external customer education.

Cons

For our situation, the pricing wasn't the right fit although it still seems like a very good option for larger organizations.
