“extra fees”
Pros
One thing Docebo does really well is helping me create a clean, user-friendly experience for users. Their widget system gives me a lot of flexibility to build out many different kinds of pages which has been a big plus. The innovation they bring to the LMS space is genuinely impressive and the pace of updates to the platform has been incredibly fast. Over the 3 years I've used it, I've watched several parts of the system improve in major ways. If you're looking for a platform that feels future-ready, this is definitely one to consider. My customer success managers have consistently been friendly and my current one seems even more responsive than the last. Support has also gotten better especially with the addition of chat which has made the help desk much more useful. It's reassuring to be able to message someone when problems come up especially when I'm away from the office. I also appreciate that extended enterprise makes it possible to deliver completely different experiences depending on specific needs.
Cons
At the same time, the pricing can feel like they charge extra for every possible add-on by splitting the platform into separate buckets. I get that they're a business and need to fund innovation but at times it feels excessive especially when so much effort goes into building new systems instead of fully fixing the older ones. I'd be more understanding if the LMS felt more complete but a lot of the back end still lives on legacy pages. Course visibility can't be controlled directly within the course itself and has to be handled through course catalogs. There's also no real way to manage widget or page visibility since only the menu system controls visibility even though menus contain pages and pages contain widgets. The whole setup still feels heavily tied to an outdated enrollment system even if they've made some improvements. Their ideas portal is also weak unless your request happens to match what hundreds of other users already want and those people actually find and vote on it which is unlikely. On top of that, there's no access to back-end programming and with limited white-glove service, when something goes wrong you often can't fix it yourself and are left hoping you can pay Docebo to make the change you need.

“Scalable solution”
Pros
This platform is powerful and comes with enterprise-level capabilities that can support a small business now and continue to fit well as the company grows on a much larger scale. At the same time, it's flexible enough to be customized for the needs of almost any related organization or side group.
Cons
On the downside, the admin interface is pretty complicated and a lot of features are tucked away in places that don't feel user-friendly to check. Even troubleshooting simple issues can take more effort than it should and the bulk user management tools aren't very strong. Reporting is another area that feels overly complex and complex even when you're just trying to handle fairly basic tasks.

“One of the best customizable social learning software programs out there!”
Pros
Our sales representative did a fantastic job at our initial platform demonstration, and we were really impressed. It has been lovely, definitely something we were looking for all along and appeared to be able to achieve anything. During the free trial, it was so fun to use the platform that we finally decided to buy the full version.
Cons
The ability to include a certificate in an email of congratulations sent to a user when they finish a certification learning plan has an issue. To get the certificate, the user must go back to the last course and download it from a widget under the course. This is done by dragging.

“Training resources that deliver”
Pros
Having Docebo's training resources available has made a huge difference. Between the e-learning courses, knowledge base articles and community page, I was able to get up to speed quickly even though I had never owned or managed an LMS before. Those resources really helped me learn the platform and feel confident taking over LMS administration. It also helps a lot that we can share direct links to content and I appreciate how frequently the product gets updated.
Cons
It also includes a gamification feature which I think is a really nice addition and not something you see in many LMS platforms. That said it needs more customization so organizations can have better control over their own badging. Another frustration is how difficult it is for our customers to re-register for training.

“Friendly point of contact”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages is how customizable the platform is. Our main point of contact has also been incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the process. Even when something can't be solved exactly the way I need, we're usually able to come up with a workable alternative.
Cons
Getting technical consultation or support scheduled can take quite a while. The documentation for some of the more advanced technical areas also feels lacking. It would really help to have more detailed use cases and examples for the more complex topics.

“can customize pages”
Pros
A very versatile platform. Being able to customize pages and reports gives us a lot more control and makes the system work better for our needs.
Cons
The Salesforce integration has been a weak point and the technical support around it has been disappointing. Since we started using the platform in April 2021, we've had three major syncing issues that have slowed down our ability to roll out the LMS to customers. Support overall tends to be very slow and I currently have two tickets that have been open for at least three weeks. I regularly have to chase the team for updates and it often feels like the details I provide are either not fully read or not really considered during troubleshooting. I'm also not a fan of the Notifications feature, there isn't a good way to preview anything and getting it set up takes too many steps.

“Personalized feel with Docebo”
Pros
Managing and storing content in Docebo has been really convenient. Another big plus is the level of customization which makes it possible to give the platform a more personalized look and feel.
Cons
One drawback with Docebo is that learning content can't be purchased individually outside of a package. It would be much more useful if every user could see all available courses through Docebo and had the option to buy them a la carte. That kind of flexibility would make it much easier for users to tailor and personalize their learning experience.

“Missing critical training features”
Pros
Being able to customize the platform with our organization's branding, like colors and logos, is definitely a plus. The interface also looks polished and visually appealing.
Cons
It is missing several important features that my organization really needs. A few examples are the lack of notification testing, no way to require click-through on every slide with the Google integration and the process of changing fonts while setting up training material descriptions is more difficult than it should be. On top of that, there are odd issues popping up almost daily. For example, I can't change the number of questions on a test if someone is currently in progress. I also can't see how many times a person has attempted a test and there's no option to assign a certificate to a specific user. If you review the ideas portal and my chat history, there are even more missing features and frustrations documented there.

“Tidy interface”
Pros
Right away the interface feels very user-friendly to use. Admin tasks are simple to handle and don't take much effort to complete. The central repository is also really helpful because it makes updating and maintaining course changes much more manageable.
Cons
The reporting side could be a lot more flexible. It would be helpful to schedule reports for survey and assessment data and having more options to customize reports using user-defined criteria with access to additional fields would make it much better.

“Great experience as an admin”
Pros
Working as an admin has been a really positive experience. The platform feels user-friendly and simple to navigate and the help center is laid out in a clear organized way that makes it simple to understand. Overall it's a very user-friendly system.
Cons
My only real complaint is the notification section in the platform. There's no option to copy email content and it also lacks filters which makes finding specific notifications harder than it should be.

“Stylish platform with solid reporting”
Pros
It looks sleek and modern and there are plenty of ways to tailor the platform to fit different needs. It also offers wide-ranging reporting for all the key KPIs and my learners genuinely enjoy using it.
Cons
Some of the customization depends on CSS which not everyone will be comfortable working with. A few of the back-end setup tasks can also feel tedious but in the end it's definitely worth the effort.

“Plenty of choices available”

“too many limits”
Pros
The interface looks polished and modern which I really appreciate. I also really value the API browser especially because it helps us handle bulk uploads efficiently. On top of that, the e-learning course layout looks very good and has a nice level of customization.
Cons
The notifications feel pretty limited. There are only a few notification types available and the shortcode options are also very minimal. New fields can't be added as shortcodes either. Page widgets are also quite restrictive and some of them don't even allow HTML customization. On top of that, pages are capped at 20 widgets. Another frustrating issue is that there doesn't seem to be a dedicated Docebo resource with strong app publishing expertise. We've spent a long time trying to get our app published on the Apple Store and it has taken far too long without success so far. Reporting is also heavily user-based so pulling a report that only includes courses and their fields isn't possible. The session layout is confusing for users too. Switching between events takes a while to understand and first-time users usually can't figure it out at all. The drop-down window is also placed poorly.

“Extremely capable product”
Pros
this platform offered far more capability and functionality than I expected, including tools I didn't even realize I would end up wanting or needing. The help desk has also been a big plus whenever I get stuck and I really appreciate having that support available.
Cons
With so many dynamic features built into the system, there can be a few different places to check when something isn't working the way it should so troubleshooting can take a little time. That said I'm still learning how to use the program so part of it may just be my learning curve.

“Better than the alternatives”
Pros
Compared with other LMS platforms, Docebo really stands out. The UX is solid, the integration tools for remote meeting apps are very useful and the tech support has been dependable. Managing roles is simple and the way courses, catalogs and learning plans can be built gives everything a strong structure and polished presentation.
Cons
There's still room to refine the UX so it feels more user-friendly and focused on its core design elements. Adding JavaScript customization would help a lot since that's a major limitation for some users and expanded CSS capabilities would also be welcome. I'd also like to see more options in the WYSIWYG editor, along with a more user-friendly experience when building reports.

“Easy to manage courses”
Pros
The admin side is laid out in a simple way so navigation stays simple. Managing courses, catalogs, learning plans and notifications is convenient and the settings are easy to reach and update based on what is needed.
Cons
At the moment, notifications are limited to system-level settings but course-level email options are needed. It would be much more useful to schedule emails based on each course such as system settings, custom email or no email, with the course owner able to choose what fits that course. Also, when a user profile is made inactive, any enrolled or in-progress courses should be deactivated too and shown in admin activities. Right now, the expectation is that enrolled courses, learning plans and sessions should be removed from the learner profile once the user is deactivated. Another limitation is with catalogs since there is no report available to download or view the courses linked to each catalog and the reporting filters do not properly support catalogs. Custom reports come with some built-in filters but more built-in filtering options are still needed to cover all functionalities. On top of that, the session and event enrollment page for ILTs can be confusing for learners so it needs clearer visibility and presentation from the learner side.

“Highly configurable system”
Pros
It is very customizable. The reporting is solid as well. There are plenty of settings to manage different Power User permission levels although a few of the more basic controls are still missing. Those fixes are apparently on the roadmap and I'm hoping they actually come out this year. Another big plus has been our success manager, who has been outstanding and consistently checks in with us. Our previous vendor promised that kind of support but never came close to delivering it. We also value the community and ideas portal, along with the clear communication around the roadmap and release webinar updates.
Cons
A major disappointment has been the customer separation piece. It was presented to us as a platform that could support our 400+ customers and we expected to be able to keep those customers fully separated so they wouldn't have visibility into each other's information. Right now, that functionality is falling well short of what we were led to expect.

“Tailored reporting”
Pros
One of the biggest strengths of Docebo is how much customization it offers. We've been able to build custom homepages and tailored reporting for different departments as well as people managers. The gamification features have also been a big plus. On top of that, support has been reliable and our account manager is always quick to respond.
Cons
Over the past two years, Docebo has introduced quite a few new add-on products and they come at an extra cost. Since I've purchased several of them, our overall spend has gone up quite a bit. That said I do feel the added products have been worth the additional investment.
