stellar support

Pros

Customer support team is their biggest strength. Any time I have questions, I can rely on them to walk me through how the platform works and help me understand how to use the system more effectively to my advantage.

Cons

A few areas could still use some improvement. The notifications feature and the central repository could be more user-friendly. It would be really helpful if notifications were built directly into a course or displayed in a calendar-style format so timelines are easier to see. We'd also appreciate better scroll functionality in the central repository when organizing courses, along with the option to create recertification classes with new data for the next year while still preserving the previous year's records. I understand updates like these take time and effort and the platform works as it is so these are more suggestions than major complaints.

Missing essential LMS capabilities

Pros

One thing Docebo does really well is tech support especially through chat. The response time is excellent and it helps a lot that the support team can actually see what's happening in the platform and use specific examples while troubleshooting. Most of the time, my questions get resolved right there without needing to escalate to tier 2 or open a formal ticket.

Cons

Unfortunately, the core LMS itself is lacking several important features. There's no option to archive courses or put them into a hidden maintenance mode so users can't see them. Notifications also can't really be tested since you have to wait until the actual trigger conditions are met to know how the live version will look. Courses inside learning plans can't be grouped into sections or topics and learning plans themselves can't be nested. It also doesn't preserve history for multiple completions and there's no proctor code functionality for exams. These are the kinds of features I would absolutely expect from an enterprise LMS especially since competing platforms already offer them. What makes it more frustrating is that when these gaps are raised in the suggestion portal or community discussions, they often seem to get dismissed or ignored.

Powerful training toolkit

Pros

It comes with multiple tools that help build training programs and assess how people are doing which makes it very useful for employee learning and development.

Cons

The webinar features, ILT sessions, reporting and the Italian translation still need improvement. On top of that, the commercial support feels focused only on sales and not like actual support when help is needed.

Versatile training content library

Pros

Its great how user-friendly the platform is. It also gives you the ability to build a kind of content library especially for training materials, that can be customized specifically for different users.

Cons

Courses can't be arranged in a preferred order and from a management perspective some features are not very user-friendly or logical. Notifications are a good example since you have to activate them first and only then enroll users in the course.

Outstanding multilingual learning hub

Pros

Bringing all of our key knowledge programs into one place has really benefited every department in the company. After working through several lessons on Docebo, I was able to improve my administrative skills as well. Another big advantage is its ability to translate content into many preferred languages which makes learning much more comfortable and accessible.

Cons

I haven't run into any issues while learning with Docebo. The lessons have consistently helped me build skills without any challenges.

Articulate imports work well

Pros

Bringing in content from Articulate lessons is really simple which makes that part of the process hassle-free.

Cons

At the same time, importing content from other sources can be more challenging and doesn't feel as smooth.

Smooth integration with Adobe connect, GoToMeeting

Pros

it integrates well with different tools, including Adobe Connect, GoToMeeting and other platforms. It's a solid course authoring solution and an effective learning system overall. The cost-saving and time-saving benefits are a big plus and the interface is simple to customize. Progress tracking is also very useful and well designed.

Cons

I honestly haven't run into any issues with Docebo's functionality. The platform was simple to learn, the overall learning experience feels more effective and the content provided has been reliable and genuinely helpful.

cloud-based LMS

Pros

Right from the start, Docebo's cloud-based learning and assignment features have been the biggest highlights for me. The integrations with different solutions work really well and the certificate tracking option is very useful. It delivers excellent learning content through multiple learning channels, the homepage can be customized without much trouble and the support from the technical team has been outstanding.

Cons

I honestly haven't run into any issues or performance problems while using Docebo and even the initial implementation was very simple the first time I used the platform.

They answer all my questions

Pros

From the admin side to the learner side, Docebo LMS feels very simple to use. Building courses, setting up learning plans and creating course content is a simple process and the final result is an extremely user-friendly experience. Their customer service is also very responsive and provides answers to every question right away.

Cons

At this point, we haven't come across anything we dislike.

Love the branches/groups feature

Pros

The automation around post-onboarding page visibility is a big plus. It's really helpful being able to build specific pages for each department based on their learning plans and overall structure. The branches and groups feature is also something I really appreciate because it keeps user organization clear and manageable.

Cons

I do wish the reporting and dashboard experience were more user-friendly and offered deeper insights into user completion, progress and learning behavior.

convenient menus

Pros

The menus felt very simple to navigate so I was able to jump in without spending time researching or watching tutorials. As I got more familiar with it, the platform became even more powerful and useful. The learning materials they provide are also clear and genuinely helpful when you want to understand the system better.

Cons

The one thing I'm not a fan of is needing a workaround to log in to two different experiences. It would be much better if there were a built-in way to switch between them or impersonate another view from the same account.

Netflix-style catalog

Pros

The catalog resembles Netflix. The course thumbnails make the learner-facing experience look polished and visually appealing. Inside each course, you can also set defaults so an index appears on the right-hand side which makes it simple to move between different pieces of training content.

Cons

Reporting is still quite limited compared with other LMS platforms I've worked with. They've said better reporting is on the roadmap but as of October 2021, those improvements still hadn't appeared. On top of that, setting up instructor-led training takes far too many clicks. Creating even one training instance is a very manual process and since there's no way to duplicate instructor-led training, admins end up spending a lot of time building out a single course.

Innovative LMS with strong community

Pros

Whats amazing with it is the sense of community and the genuine passion behind the platform. Over the two years we've been using their LMS, they've grown a lot and introduced plenty of new features along the way. It feels like they're very focused on innovation and actually pay attention to client feedback when shaping new releases.

Cons

The eCommerce functionality could use more depth especially for corporate-style payments that involve company purchase orders. On top of that, it can take quite a few clicks to get where you need to go in the system.

Helps us connect with customers

Pros

It gives our company the flexibility to explore, roll out and support multiple parts of the business, whether that means internal or external learning, individual and group training, product sales or upskilling. It really helps us connect with customers where they are and support different learning needs in one place.

Cons

A few of the add-on products feel like they should be included as part of the core platform instead of costing extra.

Fast setup and responsive chat

Pros

Getting everything configured was simple especially user management, page layout and course administration. The chat support is also very quick to respond.

Cons

It still lacks some notification options. Help desk response times could be better and the My Team page doesn't give managers enough clear, readable information.

Well-organized interface

Pros

The interface is well structured and the support team has been really helpful whenever needed. We've also developed a way of working with the system that fits our needs and preferences very well.

Cons

Reporting feels like one of the weaker areas. It's frustrating that active users can't be tied to a calendar month cycle and most add-ons are sold based on all users instead of a more realistic active user count.
