Friendly interface

Pros

The interface is very user-friendly and Docebo gives trainers a wide range of possibilities to work with.

Cons

One issue is how the system matches tests to users. If a user takes a test in one course and had already completed that same test in another course, the system doesn't recognize the course difference and marks the test as already done.

Google integration that saves time

Pros

Google integration stands out. Keeping training materials up to date takes very little effort since the content updates automatically.

Cons

Reporting is where it gets really frustrating. There aren't any built-in dashboards we can actually use or customize to show what we need. If I want to see completion rates by group, I have to build a report, export the CSV and then upload it into a separate Google Sheet where I've set up formulas just to get the numbers I'm looking for.

strong learning experience

Pros

It gives our users a really strong learning experience while still providing administrators with the flexibility needed to handle all the demands of a complex organization.

Cons

There are no major issues to call out and any blockers that came up were resolved by working through them together.

Makes training materials available

Pros

Docebo has been exactly the right platform for what we needed. It helped us connect all the provincial committees in our association and make training materials available that were previously hard to deliver effectively. The committees now rely on the platform to train referees, judges, managers and coaches from affiliated sports clubs.

Cons

There really wasn't anything we disliked. The only thing we still need is a better understanding of how to manage users and qualification certificates through the APIs so we can connect it with our own software. The only minor limitation is webinars since there isn't a built-in system and we need to use other platforms instead although they integrate without any major problems. Having webinar functionality included natively would be ideal.

Dependable business partner

Pros

Right from the start, the platform has felt simple, fast and very practical to use. Even though I have only been using it for a short time, its potential is already very clear. The interface is simple and user-friendly and the support team is always available whenever help is needed which really makes them feel like a reliable business partner. I also really appreciate Docebo University since it gives users constantly updated information that is genuinely useful. The training was excellent as well and the Docebo team came across as highly prepared, helpful and always available. On top of that, the updates are consistently valuable and explained very clearly. Overall it is user-friendly, user-friendly, always up to date and backed by an outstanding support team.

Cons

At this point, the only downside I have noticed is that some parts can feel a little complex at times. Enrolling and unenrolling users from courses can still be somewhat complicated and the reporting features could definitely be improved. Uploading images into tests is not always quick or immediate either. Managing different users is also not always as simple as it could be. Some of this may come from my limited experience with the platform so far but there are moments when it is still unclear to me why power users need to be connected not only to courses but also to linked users.

They worked closely with us

Pros

we really value how closely Docebo worked with us throughout the process. When we needed to move content from our previous LMS, their team responded quickly and helped us get everything live in under two months. Whenever a critical issue came up, support and our customer success manager were available and helped resolve it fast. They also gave us strong advice whenever we needed clarity on the best way to implement something. Docebo feels like a very innovative and flexible platform that lets you go far beyond the original scope. It offers a huge range of possibilities and we were able to tailor it exactly to our specific use case. We've also really appreciated the steady rollout of new features which has helped draw more people to our platform especially things like gamification, notifications, automatic AI and advanced custom branding. On top of that, the Docebo API is very user-friendly and has been extremely useful for reporting and for automating parts of our business logic.

Cons

It's difficult to see whether customer feedback actually influences the product roadmap. There is a feedback portal but it doesn't really feel like it has much effect. Whenever I've submitted a feature request, it has usually taken a very long time before it was even considered.

Highly knowledgeable staff

Pros

It has felt like a very user-friendly platform to work with. Their support team is highly professional, fast to respond and genuinely effective when help is needed. The platform also gives you a lot of flexibility to build a highly personalized LMS that matches both your needs and the way you want it to look. And if you're not completely sure how you want your LMS to be set up, there are ready-made templates available that make the process much easier.

Cons

Docebo keeps rolling out new features and continuously improving the platform which is definitely a positive. At the moment, one area that could still be improved is course management since courses have to be edited one by one and there isn't an option to update everything at once for things like visibility or catalog assignment. That said if you import content through them, that part is already taken care of.

Handles all learning needs

Pros

The platform is incredibly versatile and gives you the ability to handle just about any learning management need you can think of.

Cons

Because it's such a powerful system, it also comes with a lot of complexity. You really need solid knowledge of the platform to avoid even simple mistakes. We ended up relying on external consulting at the beginning since Docebo's own support felt too generic.

Covers all our needs

Pros

Its flexibility really stands out especially when it comes to the learning experience and managing an extended enterprise setup. It covers those areas very well and makes the platform feel adaptable to different needs.

Cons

There is nothing specific to complain about. If anything, the mobile app is probably the one area that could use some improvement.

Would choose it again

Pros

Running a large-scale LMS for thousands of learners across our company, partners and customers worldwide, we were able to tailor Docebo very closely to our needs and provide excellent learning experiences for every audience. The platform offers a wide range of customization options, including branding and look-and-feel, access permissions, multi-level content structure, plus integrations and APIs which makes it highly adaptable. Our interactions with Docebo's team have also been consistently positive throughout the entire process, they've been responsive, supportive and very helpful whenever needed. Before choosing an LMS, we evaluated and tested around 12 leading platforms on the market and even now, a year into using Docebo, I would absolutely make the same choice again.

Cons

That level of flexibility definitely comes with complexity. Once everything is set up, the experience can be made quite simple but reaching that point takes a deep understanding of how the platform works and all of its nuances. If you really plan to use the enterprise-level capabilities and your setup involves multiple audiences, contributors, content types, integrations and similar requirements, this is not a system you can realistically prepare without significant time and planning, not in a day, a week or even a month. Most of the frustrations we've run into are smaller technical limitations and design choices that make configuration less efficient or negatively affect the learner experience. Many of these issues feel unnecessary in such a thoughtfully built system and seem like they should be relatively simple to fix yet Docebo does not appear to prioritize them. The clearest example is that users cannot properly share course links. If someone enrolled in a course sends the URL from their browser to a colleague who is not enrolled, that person gets taken to an error page instead of seeing the course overview and having the option to enroll. The only alternative is enabling links that instantly enroll users without letting them first read the course description and decide. Other recurring annoyances include course titles being cut off even in list views where there is enough room to display them fully, limited notification options for new course comments since you only receive them after posting a comment yourself, no way to define certain constant variables for imported data such as setting one branch as the default for all new users and the inability to use negative conditions when creating groups or assigning notifications, like including everyone except selected people. None of these are deal-breakers but they do become everyday irritations. The gamification features also have limited value for our goals. Instead of motivating all learners through things like personal achievements for consistent learning or badges for milestones, they seem more focused on competitions and rewarding only the most active users. That doesn't align well with what we want which is to encourage everyone rather than push them to compete.

Excellent support

Pros

From onboarding and implementation to the ongoing support afterward, the Docebo team has been outstanding. They're just as committed to a successful launch and strong user adoption as we are which has made a huge difference.

Cons

Honestly I don't have a single complaint. That's the first time I've ever been able to say that!

Makes sense

Pros

Working with Docebo has been refreshingly simple. All I really need to focus on is creating and curating content instead of relying on an LMS specialist to manage everything. The system is user-friendly and laid out in a way that just makes sense so our whole team has been able to figure it out. We can stay focused on content and process and I'm really glad we ended up choosing this as our solution.

Cons

The tricky part is the back-end configuration. Once the user setup is in place, it tends to stay that way. We're now in a situation where we originally built the user structure the wrong way, mostly because we didn't yet know what we were missing and it's been difficult to go back and fix those core pieces. At this point, it feels like we may need to tear everything down and rebuild it just to get the reporting right. Aside from that, it's been awesome.

user-friendly platform with evolving features

Pros

Using Docebo as a superadmin has been a really positive experience because the functions and features are simple to work with and the platform feels very user-friendly overall. It also keeps improving over time which makes it even better to use. Another thing I really appreciate is being able to submit suggestions directly to Docebo, while the broader community can support or promote those ideas and then seeing those features actually make their way into the platform. From the learner side, the organized experience on both mobile and desktop is something I've really enjoyed as well.

Cons

One area that could definitely use improvement is reporting and the reporting dashboards. It's not exactly a major complaint but having stronger built-in analytics and better integrations with external BI tools would be extremely helpful.

Fresh UX

Pros

Right away, Docebo felt simple to use while still giving us enough flexibility to handle almost everything we need. The user experience feels fresh, user-friendly and engaging. It also does a really nice job of bringing all learning into one place, whether that's formal training or more informal learning like certifications, compliance social learning and knowledge sharing. On the admin side, most tasks are simple and fairly user-friendly as well.

Cons

Other than a few minor quirks which honestly come with just about any system, there is nothing specific that I dislike. I do have a long wish list of updates and improvements but one thing I appreciate is that Docebo actually involves users in that process. You can submit ideas, other users can vote on them and you're able to track what happens with those suggestions.

Built-in flexibility

Pros

There's a lot of flexibility built in, along with plenty of options and the platform is very user-friendly. Managing content is especially simple from an admin perspective.

Cons

We ran into sync-related problems especially since account-level changes didn't trigger incremental syncs. There were also issues with the out-of-the-box SCORM functionality not working properly and the resolution we received wasn't fully satisfactory. After several months of working through it, many of the sync problems seem to have been corrected.

supports live training sessions

Pros

Its very flexible. It supports live training sessions, recorded trainings and e-learning offerings which makes it useful for different types of learning needs.

Cons

The permissions setup feels fairly basic and could be more powerful. It would be better if it allowed multiple people to help manage and oversee different parts of the product more effectively.

Excellent navigation and course flow

Pros

The navigation throughout the platform and the way courses flow from one step to the next are really well done.
