“Clinical reflection with timestamps!!

Pros

What I appreciate about this tool is that it lets me upload recorded clinical come acrosss, reflect on my own performance and also get constructive commentary from peers which together create a loop where I can actually observe my clinical techniques, study the time-stamped annotations and iteratively refine my skills based on targeted feedback.

Cons

Honestly I haven't run into any real problems, the app simply works for me and I find it easy to upload my video sessions, add annotations and complete the review workflow without getting stuck or needing complex instructions.

Pros

My pre-service teachers rely on this app to capture their lesson recordings and they've told me that it's simple to use, doesn't consume storage on their devices and uploads without hassle. From my perspective as the course administrator, enrolling students into my class couldn't be simpler and when they submit their videos I'm able to leave clear, constructive comments for them to reflect on and apply in their teaching practice.

Cons

Several of my students have pointed out that the app can significantly drain their device battery during recording, so after we finish the lesson I always remind them to plug in or ensure their device is fully charged before they begin filming.

As an educator, I've found the platform gives teachers a dedicated place to upload lesson materials, post teaching videos and exchange feedback with colleagues which makes sharing resources and fostering collaboration much easier.

Cons

In my experience, however, a number of teachers, including myself at times, have come across frustrating difficulties when attempting to upload materials as the process does not always run smoothly.

We could have my students present together on a single shared screen while each of them participated from their own homes which made coordinating group presentations remotely feel much more manageable and unexpectedly smooth.

Cons

I noticed it doesn't integrate with the grade book and I couldn't find any built-in rubric feature which is something I'd really like to see to make grading and feedback more efficient.

Honestly we've come to view this program as an absolute lifesaver because we've primarily used it to remotely observe our pre-service teachers while they're working in the field, that capability proved indispensable throughout the pandemic when numerous schools wouldn't permit our presence on campus and being able to pause and leave feedback at specific moments in the recordings has completely changed the way faculty and students engage with coaching and reflection.

Cons

To be honest, I didn't come across any real negatives with the software, however, we did have to dedicate a bit more time than expected to figure out how to map and upload the institutional rubric that our program requires into this platform but after some trial and error I managed to get everything configured and uploaded successfully.

One thing I really appreciate is that it enables me to provide extremely detailed evaluations of students video submissions by pinpointing the exact timestamps where each specific comment belongs and because of that precision I find this tool particularly indispensable for instructors working with sign language and interpreting courses.

Cons

Unfortunately, I find the pricing leans toward the expensive side which can be a real barrier for schools or programs operating with tight budgets and limited financial means.

I've found the interface to be very user-friendly and it comes packed with a strong collection of tools that genuinely simplify the process of giving feedback to a student teacher.

Nothing significant comes to mind, I'm genuinely very pleased with this software and haven't come across any issues worth mentioning.

When I plugged it into our LMS the setup was surprisingly easy and I noticed students responded positively, seeming to enjoy the interactive features while frequently commenting that it helped build a stronger sense of community among classmates.

In my case, I only helped implement this software for a single class nearly a year ago because the instructor was enthusiastic about trying it, even now it's the only course in our program using the tool which seems to be driven more by a pricing arrangement between the vendor and the department, details of which I know very little.

I appreciated how easy it was to get started and operate because of the Canvas LTI integration which made setup and everyday use much simpler and more easy for me.

Cons

What bothers me is that the web version and the LMS-connected version don't get integrated so when I make changes in one place they don't sync to the other, forcing me to do extra manual updates.

The standout capability of this tool is its timestamped feedback feature because it lets me pinpoint exactly where instructors leave comments during a recording which makes it much easier for students to find and revisit those moments, I also appreciate that classmates can provide student-to-student feedback within the course, adding another useful layer of peer review.

I wish the platform included an interview-style assignment option, specifically a way to present students with a series of prerecorded questions and a prompt after each one so they can record their answers sequentially because that would closely simulate a real interview and offer a more authentic way to assess response-based skills.

I appreciated that the this tool development team was willing to collaborate directly with our institution's analytics staff, working through our requirements and building an interactive, queryable database tailored to our needs.

Cons

I don't have any complaints, whenever we've proposed changes over time the team has addressed each suggestion for us so I haven't come across unresolved issues.

“Need built-in spell check

Pros

By adding annotations to my recordings, I'm able to examine my teaching practice and adapt my instruction in response and I also see it serving as a formative assessment (rubric) that grounds a reciprocal, two-way conversation.

Cons

I'd really appreciate having an integrated spell-check within the text boxes because when I'm jotting notes or feedback the current interface forces me to proofread manually and slows down my workflow.

One feature I really value is being able to tag specific segments of a recording which lets me add timestamped notes and quickly jump back to the moments I want to review.

Cons

What frustrates me is that I can't interact with the student during the observation, so I'm forced to remain silent while crucial teaching moments pass by and I can't offer immediate guidance.

What I appreciate is being able to leave comments on the student teacher's lesson that are tied to exact timestamps within the video which makes my feedback much clearer and far easier to reference later on.

My only frustration is that I can't add a marker before writing a comment, currently I have to type the comment, then place the marker and finally return to edit so the marker and comment appear on the same comment line which feels clumsy and interrupts my workflow.

I've found the interface really simple to use and I can easily leave comments on other people's videos whenever I want.

Cons

Connection to Safari was unreliable for me and once I finally managed to get it working in Chrome, every action required double-clicking which made simple tasks take much longer than they should.

What I really appreciate is the ability to place markers and leave comments or feedback at any point during a recording because it allows me to pinpoint specific moments and respond exactly where I want to without losing context.

Cons

My teacher candidates sometimes struggle to upload recordings that weren't created directly inside the app and I wish the process for adding external files were much simpler for them, although I routinely encourage them to record with this tool, there are times when they use a different device or can't for various reasons and in those situations they run into a lot of difficulty getting the files to upload.

I've found this tool really easy to use, with an simple workflow and training approach that made onboarding simple and in my experience it delivers strong results while being easy to implement.

I find the editing features clunky, it's difficult for me to change dates for example when I need to extend them.

What I like most is how easy and simple it is to use across different roles, whether I'm using it as faculty, watching students navigate it or handling tasks from an administrator standpoint, since it keeps routine work easy and reduces unnecessary friction.

Cons

On the downside, we're unable to provide institutional support for user authentication which creates friction for us when trying to integrate with our campus systems and complicates secure sign-on workflows.

As an instructor who works with a large cohort of students, I find the tool really easy to operate and especially value being able to pin comments to exact moments within video submissions which makes feedback so much clearer and more actionable.

Cons

It feels quite pricey for what it delivers and I would like the overall design to appear less technical and more user-friendly because right now the visuals make it look cluttered and a bit difficult to navigate.
