Pros
The online classes were really good, and I liked that I could go at my own pace.
Cons
They took my money and now I can't complete my EMT-P recertification all in one place and I have to look for another system to finish it up.

“Best among all, without a doubt!
Pros
HSI is an amazing software for managing SDS and providing online training to staff. Also, it's fairly easy to use and understand. The user interface makes everything simple and straightforward, which I really like. What really stands out is how customizable it as you can tweak it to fit your specific needs. It also gives me all the reports I need to keep both the team and management updated on our progress. For any organization, this is top notch software. And the cherry on top? Their customer service is fast and super helpful. So, don't hesitate and just go for it.
Cons

“Poor quality and lacks transparency
Pros
Well I felt a bit misled by the sales pitch. I was expecting the system to be simple for my employees, but the coursework ended up eating up several hours of their day. It is just not practical for a small manufacturing company like ours and I wouldn't recommend it for small businesses.
Cons
The sales team was misleading and tried to get us to renew the program after we'd already told them it wasn't working for us. We paid for a year and didn't like it. As a supposed "Leader in their industry," they should have shown good faith and helped us find something that suits our company better.

HSI software is easy to operate. Once the organization is set up, everyone in our team can log in to their iPads or laptops and smoothly progress through their courses.

Pros
The free educational videos were very helpful to me. After becoming familiar with it, I also used the available webinars. Its a fantastic resource for me as I'm starting out as a new safety director.
Cons
I haven't encountered any problems yet, but I need to be honest that I'm currently only using the free services they offer.

“Happy as it is working out for us...
Pros
With HSI I am able to generate all the reports I need to keep both employees and Admin updated on our performance. And so far am really satisfied with how it's working out. Plus HSI's customer service has been great whenever I have needed help.
Cons
I face difficulties finding clear instructions on how to use the product.

I appreciate how the training is interactive and keeps users engaged.
Cons
Over the years, we've had trouble with certain training courses not loading properly for users to finish the training. We've done everything we can on our end. Despite bringing this issue to Vivid's attention multiple times, they haven't done anything to fix the problem on their end.

“Easy to learn
Pros
Everyone at all levels in our company got the hang of the interface pretty quickly. The EH&S training materials that came with the licensing agreement have been highly valuable too as they make sure our training is consistent, give employees flexibility and keep us in line with regulatory and legal standards. HSI/VIVID Learning Systems has also been amazing in its customer service. I really appreciate how committed they are to helping us tackle training challenges and regularly offering new tools and materials to keep things running well.
Cons
The reporting features need to be more advanced, with a dashboard that shows real-time performance against plans, so we can compare it directly to our plan.

Pros
We in the beginning, got this software to manage safety requirements but as we got more comfortable with the platform and support team, we started using its extra custom features and benefits. And honestly, the customization is the best thing of HSI. You can adjust the content to be as detailed or simple as you want for each employee's course enrollment. Plus, the reporting tools make it fairly easy to track compliance and performance, which has been a huge help very beneficial.
Cons
HSI best feature is also the worst one. As the site is very versatile and customizable, but without a solid plan for how to manage it internally, it can be overwhelming. Luckily, their support team is excellent at helping with these challenges and tailoring the site to my needs.

Pros
Navigating the system was simple once it was set up. Support was available for assistance whenever we needed, even with time zone differences. Plus the curriculum was good and easy to follow.
Cons
It would be great to have more up-to-date videos and include some of the OSHA courses without extra cost.

“HSI is our top pick
Pros
We as a team are very happy with our purchase as it's been a game-changer for providing continuing education to our EMS providers. Since most of them work out of satellite stations, this plays an important role in helping them maintain their professional licenses and stay sharp with EMS knowledge. And in the end it all adds up to better patient care. Also the feedback from our providers about HSI online training has been really positive. Assigning courses is also not a problem anymore and the classes are packed with useful, up to date information. Plus I love that they can earn CEUs for state and national recertification on their own time. And there's a great range of topics that challenge every level of EMS certification.
Cons
During a training session, we can pause and resume the class overall, but not in the middle of a video. And if you log out while watching a segment, you'll need to watch it all over again. Fortunately, these segments are kept reasonably short, so this isn't a huge issue.

“Top-notch customer service!
Pros
I love how I can group employees into different "teams" with this software as it makes it so much easier to focus specific training on the right groups. Also the customer service during the setup and implementation was great which made getting started a hassle free process. The platform itself is great for tracking external training and managing both online training and SDS in one place. It's super easy to use and the customer support has been excellent throughout. So overall it is an awesome program for handling online training and SDS management for employees.
Cons
It would be great if we have the ability to track "outside" training and add certificates for that, along with a better search function.

What I really like the most is the training itself. The videos are short and get straight to the point which makes it so much easier to follow. I also noticed that as I go through each section, it gets highlighted to show I've covered itl. Overall, the experience has been great and the staff has been really supportive.
Cons
One thing that causes issues for us is the language limitations as not all of the classes are available in Spanish.

We used this software for our university training, both for OSHA and Lab safety. It's an outstanding product that's easy to implement and use. Since we have to bid on it every five years, I hope to get this vendor each cycle.

Pros
The thing impresses me the most is that is simple to use, and the quality of the graphics and animations is top notch. Plus my Sales Rep was amazing as he is always quick to ask the right questions and provide answers when I need them. Also he is both knowledgeable and responsive.

Pros
HSI software makes it very easy to add new employees to the system which allows them to start their training right away. Also the software user-friendly and if there's ever an issue, customer service is always great at helping out. The content is accurate and gets updated regularly and the storylines and animations are really well done. And from an admin perspective, the software makes it easy to run reports and track key indicators like the percentage of people who are up to date with their training. It definitely helps cut down the number of hours EHS professionals and supervisors need to spend on training since the system handles it. Plus it even tracks other trainings, like live events, that are not part of the software. I would 100% recommend this training software to any company.
Cons
It would be beneficial to send a custom email to all users who are overdue (maybe this feature already exists, but I'm not aware of it). I know the system sends out emails for 1 day overdue, 15 days overdue, etc., but I'd like the option to create and send my own.

My experience with HSI personnel was simply the best. They are very friendly and always willing to help out. Support has been quick every time I have reached out. Plus the software itself works perfectly fine like no glitches at all. The ease of use for students is also excellent and even those who aren't that tech savvy have no problems using it. From an admin perspective, it's a bit more involved. Like the updated software (Pillar) has a steeper learning curve, mainly because of all the options it gives you. You can report on pretty much anything and configure it in so many ways, which is great for flexibility. But, until you figure out exactly what you need, it can be a little overwhelming. Overall though, it's really well laid out and easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.
Cons
There might be almost too many features now, if that's something to complain about.

Pros
The topics are up to date and meet today's training and educational standards. Plus being able to load them onto our own LMS site makes access convenient and easy.
Cons
We do a lot of classroom training at our DCs, and sometimes the classroom materials (handouts) are a bit sparse.
