“Safety training made easy”
Pros
I really like how easy it is to create and edit modules. I love being able to update a single slide instead of having to build a new module every time there is a change.
Cons
The system has become quite glitchy. Sometimes, when trainees click the "next" button, they end up going back several slides instead of moving forward. There are also occasions when trainees get stuck in a "loop" where the module shows as 100% complete but won't let them advance, displaying "in progress" instead. This has been a known issue for over a year without any resolution. I experienced this problem last year during annual training, and it's still happening this year.

“User friendly, Admin friendly”
Pros
I really like that it keeps training records for archived users which helps us make the most of our purchased seats. It is user-friendly and easy to learn both for admins and users. I use it every day.
Cons
Sometimes, changes are not thoroughly tested before implementation, leading to glitches and issues.

“Lots of Features, But Clunky”
Pros
They have gone above and beyond to assist us, even adding a feature we requested! The classes we offer on Trakstar Learn generate continuing education credits and we are thankful that the system is robust enough to handle our content and reporting needs. Uploading courses is simple and easy.
Cons
Trakstar Learn is a nightmare when it comes to user interface: navigating and troubleshooting is incredibly difficult for our users and we often have to guide them through even basic tasks like retaking a quiz. There are numerous bugs and the error messages are both misleading and vague. For instance, if a user has not completed a course and it glitches, they receive a message saying "You have completed this course 100%" We then have to explain over the phone that the course is not actually complete and guide them to the part they missed. Since we mainly provide classes for external learners, archiving and reinstating users is a huge hassle. Our users take classes every three years or so, so they need to be archived regularly and reinstated as needed. Trakstar Learn does not handle this well.

“Good learning tool; easy to use for the most part, but navigation could be improved!”
Pros
I can easily track which trainees are enrolled in which courses and monitor their progress. I also like being able to see how different modules and courses are connected. The Trainer Dashboards ability to add, edit and view trainee information is very convenient.
Cons
I find it frustrating how easy it is to get caught in circles when navigating between modules and courses. You have to follow a specific order and sometimes this leads to a loop. I wish it were easier to download and view the content slides for each module. Currently, I can only see a limited number of slides instead of the full presentation. To view everything, I need to download it but my network does not support .zip files which can be quite annoying.

“Very simple to use”
Pros
I love how easy it is to use and upload e-learning courses. There is no unnecessary fluff or flashy components that complicate things.
Cons
I wish Trakstar offered better tracking for SCORM files created outside the platform. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I am not sure if this is possible, but it would be fantastic if there were a way to integrate the passing score from a SCORM file into Trakstars dashboard.

“Great platform, with some glitches”
Pros
Setting up training courses is not a hassle and they run smoothly. I have great options for designing courses to meet my needs. Reports can be generated either within the courses or from the reporting tab. It is an excellent program overall, though it does have some glitches and issues.
Cons
We used this platform for staff training for two years without any issues. However, after Mindflash was acquired by another company and began making "upgrades," we started encountering glitches. While some glitches are expected, the real problem is that resolving them takes an eternity. For months, I've been told that these issues are on the tech team's list but have not seen any resolution. In the meantime, I have had to find workarounds to get what I need. Fortunately, the trainee side seems to work correctly so the issues are primarily on the admin side.

“Tech Support's Perspective”
Pros
Trakstar is quite user-friendly, even for those who are not very tech-savvy. As a Tech Support Specialist, I often need to guide clients through various platforms. Users rarely struggle with Trakstar and we typically do not need to help them find their modules.
Cons
We've experienced instances where Trakstar did not accurately record a user's quiz results. In these cases, we either need to advance the user to the next module or have them retake the quiz, which can sometimes be frustrating.

“Wonderful experience using Trakstar with the staff I work with. Easy to navigate for all”
Pros
I like being able to track completed, in-progress and areas where staff might need additional support based on their training scores. This also gives us ample opportunity to improve the material based on the feedback from these scores.
Cons
Currently, there is nothing about Trakstar that I dislike.

“Great concept but unreliable platform”
Pros
It is quite easy to learn and navigate between screens. I like having the option to track both live and online courses, get certificates with unique numbers and have a system that is simple for trainees to use.
Cons
I find it challenging to load PowerPoint presentations with animated or linked graphics. The system offers limited flexibility with layout and branding. Additionally, pop-ups frequently appear, inviting me to webinars and sessions. Email invites to trainees often get blocked by their servers and the customer support department is limited when it comes to handling major issues.

“Easy to use, intuitive and flexible”
Pros
Trakstar Learns formats support third-party training and help track internal trainings while allowing me to create online training for my employees. This level of flexibility is invaluable.
Cons
We have been promised a bridge between Hire and Perform for over a year now and the inability to switch seamlessly between them is quite frustrating and confusing, especially for my managers.

“Buyer Beware!”
Pros
Dropping Trakstar and seeking an alternative was the highlight of my experience.
Cons
My experience with customer service was terrible. They were rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. I felt degraded and bullied by their behavior. To top it off, they still have not processed my refund, leaving me extremely frustrated.

“Worst customer experience and total disregard for humans”
Pros
The most satisfying aspect of Mindflash (Trakstar) was discontinuing its service.
Cons
Giving them my credit card information was a huge mistake. Even though we stopped using their service years ago, they kept my details and now I am in a battle to correct unauthorized charges. Their lack of regard for doing what's right is appalling.

“excellent experience!”
Pros
It is software that thinks right out of the "box." When everything was still referred to as series and modules, we first started utilizing Mindflash a few years ago. Create your tests, then upload your PowerPoint slides and any YouTube videos you want. Because of how we use it, I add kids one at a time, but I really like the opportunity to add them in batches. When you have a lot to enter, it is SO much simpler to do it all at once. It became even more efficient when the series and modules were renamed to modules and courses, and the classes started automatically saving!
Cons
Not having the ability to delete users. A few people in my position from other schools have called and asked about Mindflash. I explain to them (in general) what I just wrote above and offer to give them a login so they can see how it appears to users. Additionally, and if this is something I should do, users constantly call me asking me to reset their module. They appear very confused and either dont comprehend what Im saying or dont see it when I describe how they can go to the home page and continue/resume or reset.

“One of the best learning management systems available!”
Pros
Our business heavily relies on an extensive nationwide network of damage appraisers. We were looking for a method to effectively train about 1,000 people at the same time, dispersed across the entire United States, because remote training could be tough and expensive at times. Thanks to Mindflash, we can now train everyone without having to stop them from driving during the day to attend live webinars. The training is kept straightforward with the help of Mindflash. Its excellent to have the option to quickly allocate training to certain people or regions. The reporting features of Mindflash are excellent and simple to use.
Cons
There are instances when the tier-based pricing structure is just plain annoying. There are also some moments when we need to increase the number of users but not features. We wind up spending money on extra features we never use, and it isnt made apparent what features we actually need in the beginning. Instead of merely paying to add a user, we must go to an entirely new level and price structure if we need to add one more person beyond our existing tier limit. Such small things add up to be major cons down the road. It would be nice to have all these issues resolved by their next update.

“Amazing LMS experience and customer support.”
Pros
Weve been using Mindflash for more than a year, and both their products and customer service are just top-notch. When something has to be improved, it is done so smoothly, and customer support responds quickly. The user interface is simple and straightforward. Over the past year, weve easily launched and expanded our eLearning offering, and our clients are pleased with the usability and accessibility of our courses. The management of users is improving, but Im still hoping for additional development on the reports side. I appreciate the products flexibility in letting me build a test and an evaluation.
Cons
When it comes to Mindflash, it is hard to find cons to write about. Their ease of use and amazing customer service put every other worry to rest. However, if I must think of something to say, Id say that advanced reports might be preferable. More flexibility and ease in generating customer fields is something Id like to see. I would also prefer to create and conduct virtual learning in a live environment. Not that it has been a major issue for me, but sometimes their system lags a little. But almost instantly, the lag goes away, so it doesnt really disrupt anything.

“Love the product. Fantastic feature.”
Pros
Users and learners will find the UI easy to use and navigate. Instructors can use the app's built-in audio recording feature and reference images to create flashcards. Features like flashcards, sharing learning materials, and publishing our own content are very helpful in creating course material for the training program.
Cons
We can't personalize it since we can't schedule reports, announcements, etc. Research and development on arranging briefings and notifications would be a big help. Enhancing this feature would add significant value to businesses. After all, feedback is one of the most powerful tools for learning.

“Do not consider Trakstar Learn or Mindflash as your training platform if you need to track hours”
Pros
I anticipated pleasant staff, clear instructions, and helpful support. I believed it would enhance our record-keeping system, but it fell short of expectations. Being misinformed left me frustrated.
Cons
My expectations for the system were completely missed. The sales pitch was vague, and the instructions provided little clarity on which training types it applied to.
