simple and flexible for daily use

Pros

It is pretty simple for both administrators and regular users to use. Figuring out problems and making fast adjustments whenever we need to is also a simple process.

Cons

A few of the reporting features feel awkward and are not very user-friendly. Having manual workarounds is helpful but I would really prefer a more advanced and detailed reporting system.

Decent tool but often buggy

Pros

I am impressed by the sheer number of tools it includes. It is a powerful platform with a massive amount of functionality.

Cons

The ongoing technical issues and the reporting function are my biggest frustrations. The reporting seems very basic also the mobile application is not very good either.

Excellent for custom branding and engagement

Pros

It lets us create an engaging, custom-branded learning center that reflects our company's culture. Also there are so many ways to incorporate features that boost interaction.

Cons

There are a few small yet important tools and functions that still have not been added or repaired, despite our team asking for them for years.

simple and easy to use

Pros

From an admin perspective, the setup and daily use are very simple. We also see great employee interaction with features like comment sections, likes and discussion boards.

Cons

Getting the formatting correct can be tricky when I am building a module that uses several images together. I would also love it if PDFs could be viewed with a simple scroll on the page instead of opening a new link or window.

Offers excellent support

Pros

The team providing support is fantastic. A huge thank you to our rep for all the calls and demonstrations last year. We also appreciate for all your help with technical issues.

Cons

Initially a number of features we were excited about were not part of the package. However, recent user experience improvements and the merger with PlayerLync have now made those things available.

excellent layout and simpler tools

Pros

Wisetail LMS layout is excellent. As building training courses and generating reports is far simpler here than it was with Schoox.

Cons

I feel like getting proficient with the platform takes a significant amount of time and I would have loved some in-person training that was not too expensive.

User-friendly with top-notch support

Pros

What I love most about this software is how user friendly and easy it is for everyone! That said the consistently excellent customer service is a very close second for me.

Cons

This is not softwares fault but my least favorite part is that due to the extra cost for some advanced tools, I could not access some of the amazing ones like the multi-language feature. I just know it would have been a great addition for us!

incredible freedom with a few frustrating limits

Pros

The platform offers an incredible amount of freedom, allowing us to build and customize a huge part of it to match our exact vision and workflow.

Cons

Ironically, this freedom hits a hard wall in certain areas. Some core system settings are hard-coded and can't be adjusted, which can feel surprisingly limiting when you run into one of those unchangeable rules.

Fantastic for structured training

Pros

I think this tool is fantastic for structured learning. I really appreciate the variety of methods for sharing information, like building modules, using different media, and flashcards. These have been genuinely effective for our team's training and have seriously improved knowledge retention

Cons

when it comes to flexible content creation and reporting, it feels a bit restrictive. I'd love more creative freedom to build dynamic, newsletter-style pages for things like event highlights, but the current tools make it a challenge. Similarly, generating specific, individualized reports for things like different promotion dates is more difficult than it should be.

Adaptable but shows its age

Pros

This learning system gives us a very adaptable design that works for all kinds of training situations. We have used the custom editing features, uploaded SCORM files, built quizzes, used game-like elements and certification tools and we regularly use many of the available reports. The support team has also gotten much quicker at responding to our requests and fixing any issues.

Cons

Even though we can customize things to a degree, we have definitely run into its limits. Like managing the size and position of images can be difficult. The quiz tool does not allow for sequence-matching or drag and drop questions. You can schedule reports and filter the data but some information cannot be removed and since it's a CSV file, I have to clean it up every week before sending it to stakeholders. We have been using this product for nine years and have faced challenges as it has changed. It seems mainly built for restaurants and places that track ongoing skills which does not match our use case. We sometimes have issues with SCORM modules not displaying properly. Also since the developers design for Chrome and our Windows machines use Edge, it sometimes creates a poor experience. The major update in 2019 was not a smooth transition as we had to rebuild everything manually.

Meets all our needs!!

Pros

Wisetail stands apart from a standard Learning Management System. It provides powerful customization which lets us design a learning path that fits our unique requirements.

Cons

I feel like it would be a massive improvement if the company shared a clearer product roadmap. A public site where we could see which requested features are being worked on versus those that are not a priority would also be incredibly helpful.

A true all-in-one hub

Pros

We can truly customize an individual's experience. The system allows for very specific permission settings. We also love how it effectively serves as a central hub for all our communications, compliance tracking, professional development and daily operational tasks.

Cons

One thing I noticed is that new tools and features on the platform often have bugs and problems for the first several months after they are released.

Great branding and customer support

Pros

The ability to apply our own branding and the excellent customer support are my two favorite aspects.

Cons

There are some restrictions on how large our files can be and sometimes there are bugs when uploading pictures or videos where our content can just vanish.

Fun and easy to use

Pros

This software allows for immense creativity in creating our own LMS, and the support team is always available to assist when needed.

Cons

Currently, the lack of an app is not a major disadvantage, but employees would like to have that feature as soon as possible. The company is currently working hard to create an app for users.

Great product that we've used for years

Pros

Wisetail LMS allows me to securely share important, updated information in various formats with my users daily. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. The support is incredible as they are always ready to assist if any issues arise which is rare.

Cons

I honestly cannot say there is anything I dislike. I've made support calls for new features I'd like to see, and occasionally encountered software hiccups, but support has always been open to my ideas and helpful in fixing any issues.

Simply the Best

Pros

Every piece of content I publish always reaches and downloads on every device automatically. There's no need for users to search or manually download what they need. Since everything we publish is important, I like that it consistently streamlines content uploading. Setting up new users on Wisetail LMS is quick and efficient, and adding them to specific groups is not a problem.

Cons

No complaints. It works as intended and even exceeds expectations.

User Friendly

Pros

I can access Wisetail LMS without a Wi-Fi connection and it automatically refreshes uploaded content. The customizable content page adds further feasibility to training. Wisetail LMS forms are user friendly and help keep my daily operations professional and modern. The entire Wisetail LMS team offers fantastic support overall.

Cons

The backend can be a bit tricky to navigate at first.
