Is Alpha Technologies Eclipse Right For You?
Alpha Technologies Eclipse is the ideal choice if your quality lab is running multiple instruments (both Alpha and non-Alpha) and struggling to centralize data. Its standout feature is the "WorkBench" add-on, which acts as a universal interface to pull data from diverse lab instruments, including density, hardness, and tensile testers. Alpha Technologies Eclipse Features
Centralized Data Management
The platform provides a central database with robust search functions to manage all test data. This allows users to drill down into actionable information, customize searches across multiple test methods, and quickly filter results.
Customizable Test Methods
Users can define and edit specifications for materials and compounds. The system provides three levels of criteria (Inform, Warn, Pass/Fail) that can be assigned to one or more compounds to provide operational control warnings.
Data Analysis And Recalculation
The software gives users the ability to analyze historical data. Users can retroactively apply new calculations or limits to existing test results, over-trace curves, and eliminate outliers to see how data looks under new criteria.
WorkBench Instrument Interface
This add-on module provides a standardized user interface to control all lab instruments. It interfaces with Alpha Premier instruments and can pull data from non-Alpha instruments like hardness and tensile testers into the Enterprise database.

“reliable offline testing workflow”
Pros
A major advantage is being able to configure multiple pieces of testing equipment and different testing procedures. Another great feature is how each workstation can continue running independently if the network goes down. The software saves results locally on the computer and automatically uploads everything to the server once the connection is restored which is incredibly helpful.
Cons
Setting up the database the first time can take a while. That said it helps that you can copy the initial database setup to the other workstations afterward.
