ESPRIT Features
Machine Swap
The software incorporates an AI engine that automatically updates the program when users change the job setup or swap the physical machine tool. When switching between short runs and multi-part production, the AI engine reorganizes the program. This process maximizes concurrency across multiple parts to achieve an optimized total cycle time, respecting the new setup capabilities.
Process Plans
ESPRIT AI simplifies the programming process by dynamically adapting the available tools and functions based on the specific job setup and the physical capabilities of the selected machine. From the part view process plan, the AI engine automatically sequences the entire program into the machine view. This function streamlines workflow for the programmer and guarantees the shortest possible cycle times.
Stock-Aware Toolpath
This feature dynamically optimizes toolpaths by adapting to process changes based on the real-time state of the stock material. The software eliminates air cuts and minimizes repositioning, resulting in optimized cycle times. High-performance cycles, including ProfitMilling and ProfitTurning, are used to monitor tool loads, which extends tool life and achieves maximum efficiency in roughing, turning, facing, and grooving operations.
Machine-Aware
This feature simplifies programming while increasing tool life and reducing cycle times. ESPRIT's patent-pending algorithms use a digital twin of the machine and tooling to power its most advanced features, from high-speed machining to post-processing. It helps users utilize their machine's full capabilities.
Adaptive Machining
The software's adaptive machining cycles provide complete flexibility to perform all milling, turning, inspection, and additive operations on any mill, lathe, Swiss-type, or mill-turn machine. This all-in-one approach provides one software and one common user interface for the entire CNC program, regardless of the machine being used in the shop.

“CMZ integration that covers everything”
Pros
One of the strongest points is how well the CAM integrates with CMZ. The technicians already have it available and it's been properly adapted to work between the CMZ lathes and the CAM system. It really covers everything we need.
Cons
Using it can be quite complex. There are a lot of options and even though it's still easier than coding by hand, you need solid software knowledge to handle it correctly.

“powerful digital twin control”
Pros
Everything about it feels logical and user friendly, while still being very powerful. It gives full control over wire EDM and milling machines with up to 6 axes, as well as lathes with up to 22 axes, including synchronized multi spindle and multi turret setups. Another big plus is that the post processors are certified by the CNC manufacturers and come at no extra cost. Programming and simulation are both handled through a digital twin, using a digital CNC environment.
Cons
Nothing to complain about.

“Solid CAM editing with a few SQL concerns”
Pros
At work we use Esprit for CAM files and it gives engineers the ability to adjust items on the production line as needed. From the admin side, installing the software is quick as well.
Cons
One concern with Esprit is that it currently depends on SQL. Depending on the version in use, that can leave the system exposed to SQL vulnerabilities if the proper protections are not in place.
