MAX-PAC Features
MAX-PAC calculates a safe zone for the entire machining region and individual points. It generates the smoothest possible 5-axis toolpath through that zone to prevent costly tool or holder collisions. This patented approach enables machining difficult geometries that other CAM systems might find challenging.
This verification tool validates programs before they are sent to the machine. It provides a realistic visualization of machine motion and material removal, which allows programmers to eliminate guesswork, reduce on-machine testing, and avoid costly machine crashes or errors.
Flank Milling creates 5-axis toolpaths for ruled-surface blades by using the side of the cutter for efficient single-pass finishing. Its patented algorithm can generate toolpaths with a significant error reduction compared to other CAM systems, which ensures accuracy and component quality.
Designed for arbitrary (free-form) surfaces, this feature uses the tool tip to machine complex CFD-influenced blade shapes. It generates smooth instructions compatible with high-speed milling and can cut geometries that are impossible for general-purpose CAM software.
This specialized add-on provides solutions for the significant tool access problems found in integrally shrouded parts. The module uses an efficient strategy of box passes for roughing combined with simplified paths for finishing, which ensures complete and safe material removal in difficult-to-reach areas.
