“Realtrac
Pros
I am very happy with the feature that allows me to attach drawings to Part Numbers when creating a new order. It saves me so much time as the drawings are automatically pulled up every time I process an order, eliminating the need to search through files.
Cons
I wish there was a more convenient way to input a material list.

“Review
Pros
Learning and setting up the software have been relatively straightforward, requiring minimal training.
Cons
I am not entirely satisfied with the software as it overlooks important cost factors like tooling, setup, and expedite fees in its job cost analysis. It seems to be more geared towards lot quantities or one-time orders, making ongoing production jobs challenging to manage.

Pros
Rightboard provides real time updates, ensuring that shop personnel can quickly see any changes.
Cons
It is troublesome that there is no option to view the transaction history of parts in the inventory section. This makes it difficult to identify and resolve issues with quantity discrepancies or negative quantities. Additionally, the "incomplete" status for finished goods seems pointless as Realtrac doesn't handle it well once the parts are moved to a job to complete them. It would be better to create separate part numbers for consumed materials, although this would result in more part numbers for each unfinished finished good.

“Need more flexibility in reports
Pros
The quality section is simples and easy to navigate.
Cons
I require more flexibility in generating reports. I still have unanswered questions from several months ago regarding a report that shows the total dollar value of estimates created in a month. I would also appreciate a report that lists open jobs with their dollar amounts and locations, allowing me to mark them as priorities. Another report I need is one that provides a list of priority jobs, along with their dollar amounts and locations in the job process.

“Great software for job creation and tracking.
Pros
Realtrac is incredibly intuitive making it a breeze to navigate and use on a daily basis. The data logging of operations is exceptional.
Cons
The Quality tab could use an update to include an option for specifying the responsible party. Additionally, the NCR/CAR reporting should be improved, providing better printable and shareable history data.

“REALTRAC POSSIBLY THE FUTURE OF SHOP FLOOR SCHEDULING
Pros
The search functions are effortless to use, and I appreciate the ability to customize reports and create custom pages tailored to my specific desktop needs.
Cons
There are still some missing features, but I appreciate that Realtrac takes the time to listen to our ideas and potentially include them in future updates. This is great for me, and hopefully, it helps them sell more of their product.

“Realtrac
Pros
Their customer service is outstanding, always willing to educate me about their system.
Cons
I find the software to be less than user-friendly. It is challenging to use, and there are too many ways to perform the same task.

“A long look, great decision
Pros
I particularly enjoy the ability to build and track multi level BOMs while having features for shop management, inventory visibility, and scheduling. These have always been highly sought-after features.
Cons
Like any other software, it takes time to build the data. Instead of dropping all the past data, we chose to build from this point forward. Occasionally, we need to go back and enter data from our previous system, but it was our choice, not a requirement.

“Realtrac Rocks
Pros
I'm completely satisfied with how easy it was to set up this new software with the assistance of the Realtrac Technical Support Team. Since installing the latest version, we have discovered numerous ways to utilize the program and streamline our progress tracking.
Cons
The only issues I have encountered are related to the new fields and figuring out how to navigate and locate the specific reports I need to run.

“How Realtrac changed the way we do business
Pros
I love how user friendly it is and how efficiently it allows us to track job statuses. The inventory management module is fantastic, enabling us to input inventory locations and statuses. If we have 20 partially completed parts in stock, we can easily flag them as such. Realtrac has truly transformed our entire business into a more efficient company.
Cons
The only problem I have is the prolonged loading times when switching between different modules.

“Frustraded
Pros
I've been using this program for at least 5 years, and the support has been decent. As someone without much computer expertise, I find it easy to navigate.
Cons
I have previously voiced my complaints and managed to escalate the issue but unfortunately, they couldn't do anything about it. The program shuts down at the end of the day and starts up in the morning which is great. However, it also starts every Saturday and Sunday, adding unnecessary hours for employees who are not working. This makes it impossible to accurately determine the cost of manufacturing. The program is only useful for tracking item locations in the production process. The reason I initially purchased the program was to obtain accurate manufacturing cost information, which cannot be achieved with this software. Additionally, it would be helpful to see the employees working on each project without leaving the main list screen.

“SNX Precision Feedback
Pros
The ability to quote materials and generate POs directly from the quote has been a tremendous time saver. The Rightboard tool also helps in preparing jobs, ensuring high machine uptime.
Cons
The inventory and cost accounting functions haven't worked as well as I had anticipated. The complex job feature has not been suitable for our business, even though I thought it would be advantageous when I purchased the software.

“realtrac ERP
Pros
We've been using this software since 2005, and the new owners, along with the software improvements, have made it one of the best investments we've made. It has facilitated our ISO certifications and enhanced our performance for our customers.
Cons
We would greatly benefit from a more robust reporting software that allows access to additional fields across different modules and the ability to output data in various formats.

As of August 1, 2019, we are still experiencing a functionality issue that remains unresolved since we installed the software in January 2019.

“Good at Big Picture, Some Shortcomings and Missing Features
Pros
It's incredibly user-friendly for ShopFloor logging in and out of jobs and recording time. The timeclock feature is easy for HR, and it's simple to track a job's progress in the manufacturing process from a remote location.
Cons
My main concern with RealTrac is the lack of a feature (or at least there wasn't one in previous versions) that allows me to split an operators time when they are logged into multiple jobs. In my company operators often run multiple machines simultaneously and it would be beneficial if their labor cost and hours were divided among the machines they are working on concurrently. Currently without this feature, my costing metrics are rendered useless until I manually investigate the work sessions' data. This limitation almost makes me consider switching to another software. (Customer Service/Tech Support informed me that this was intentionally designed so that historical jobs are not underbid). If this information is incorrect, I would appreciate a prompt phone call. Furthermore the "Quality" feature is poorly designed and seems like an afterthought. The default reporting within this module is subpar with inadequate formatting and poor integration with the rest of the system. It appears that this module has not received updates in a long time, while new paid features like RightBoard are constantly being added and updated.

“Customer Support and Training Unparalleled
Pros
I appreciate the cost-to-value ratio, and the training support sealed the deal for me.
Cons
The softwares interface and graphics feel outdated, and it doesn't integrate with QB on line. Nevertheless, considering the cost I can overlook these drawbacks.

“review of Realtrac
Pros
The combination with Right Board is fantastic, providing a helpful visual aid.
Cons
I wish I had more flexibility with time estimates. I'm particularly concerned about ensuring that an operator completes their overall time for an operation (including setup). If they exceed their setup time, the screen turns red, and I think it remains red for the rest of the job. If my understanding is incorrect, please clarify.

“Realtrac use in a machine shop and fabrication environment.
Pros
Looking up old and current estimates and jobs is effortless. There are multiple search fields that allow me to search by description, part number, drawing number, customer name and customer PO number. Additionally, I can search for jobs and estimates within a specific date range. The reporting functions are also great, offering labor cost breakdowns per job and the ability to analyze individual employee performance within any given date/time range.
Cons
The GUI has an aesthetically outdated look. It would be beneficial if making changes to templates was made easier. Sometimes, when populating and defining router steps on an estimate, the order of operations unintentionally gets switched around and has to be corrected.
