“All-in-one platform”
Pros
Having everything built into one platform is a big plus for HMI development, database creation, historian functions and device drivers, with support for around 50 different communication protocols. The pricing and licensing model is based on tag count and the first 50 tags are free which makes it accessible for anyone to try before realizing how much value it offers. The trending is better than any other system I've used or worked with. It uses a proprietary state-based language similar to C++ but the code only runs when the related data points change so it stays very lightweight. The HMI side is amazing and creating parameterized templates is easy which cuts down development time. Another nice touch is that any value displayed on the screen will automatically bring up its trend when clicked. Alarm history is included out of the box and comes with strong filtering capabilities. It also has a REST driver which makes it possible to connect with and pull data from virtually any API.
Cons
The downsides are fairly limited, mostly involving some issues when scaling things down and the mobile experience.
