“Generous free tier offering value”
Pros
Free tier is very generous for startups and the platform is simple to learn and use.
Cons
Pricing can climb pretty quickly if you need access to certain features in the higher tiers.

“Strong analytics and reporting suite”
Pros
This is a powerful email marketing platform with pretty much all the reporting you'd want, including geo-tracking social media metrics and even Google Analytics integration.
Cons
After you move beyond the freemium plan, the pricing climbs fairly quickly. That can be hard to justify if you're only slightly over the limit for free subscribers or email volume.

“Simple design and creativity balance”
Pros
One thing I really enjoy about this software is how simple it feels to use while still giving plenty of room to be creative. It never feels overly confusing and most of the time it's pretty clear how to move things around or add contacts without much trouble.
Cons
There are still moments when it feels a bit difficult to navigate or fully understand all the elements needed to make everything flow the right way. It can get tricky and confusing at times. I also really dislike that when I do run into issues, getting in touch with customer support can be difficult so that's something I wish would improve. Better pricing as your contact list grows would also make a big difference and would make me like the product even more.

“Dependable all-in-one email system”
Pros
We originally picked it because sending email newsletters was easy and the deliverability was reliable and that is still a big reason it remains our go-to platform for newsletters and ongoing audience engagement. Over the years, the newer features have made it even more useful especially things like agency delegation from client accounts, stronger list segmentation, the option to resend to people who didn't open a campaign and the more simple automation flows for drip campaigns. Everything feels clear and simple to work with and those improvements are features we keep using more heavily every year.
Cons
Building a custom template and working with the HTML was definitely tough although that tends to be true with pretty much any email platform when custom code is involved so it is hard to single this one out for that. One thing that could have been better from the start is having more dynamic layouts for desktop and mobile-friendly newsletters. The older templates were honestly pretty unattractive and we often ended up buying themes from Themeforest, then rebranding them and uploading the assets ourselves.

“Automation that reduces workload”
Pros
It was the first email automation tool I worked with and it definitely cut down my workload. Being able to automate emails and manage subscriber lists handled a good part of the process for me.
Cons
Working with different segments and tags was confusing at times. The free plan also changed from including 3 audiences to allowing only 1 and even with up to 2,000 subscribers, there's no customer support included.

“Compliance-safe email marketing platform”
Pros
Keeping email marketing compliant is tough and this software removes a lot of the uncertainty around SPAM rules. It has helped us run a successful email marketing program without much worry about being flagged as spammers. There's flexibility in how you build campaigns too, you can create your own emails, bring in a professional, or start from their built-in templates to connect with customers. They've also been rolling out new features quickly. I haven't used all of them yet but it now supports things like order confirmations, shipping updates and abandoned cart emails as well. The platform has been expanding at a pretty fast pace.
Cons
One area where it still feels a bit limited is the selection of pre-made templates. That said it's not a major problem since a designer or developer can still work within the platform to create polished marketing or informational emails.

“Creative bulk design capabilities”
Pros
Creating eye-catching banners and images exactly the way I imagine them has been one of the best parts of using this platform for email posts and social media promotion. The content studio's creative assistant really helps me bring my design ideas to life and show that creativity in a practical way. Another standout benefit is how it lets an admin handle scheduled bulk email campaigns for a large number of customers. Being able to reach businesses through a single-click automated email marketing setup makes the whole process very efficient and valuable.
Cons
A feature that still concerns me is bulk email marketing. When I send a large number of emails at the same time some recipients' inboxes occasionally flag them as spam or bot-generated because the content is too similar across the messages. If that issue could be fixed or improved, I'd honestly consider this one of the very best automated email marketing tools available today.

“Approachable email marketing tool”
Pros
Email marketing feels very approachable on this platform especially for beginners. The drag-and-drop newsletter builder works smoothly and creating lists and lead-capture forms is both simple and efficient.
Cons
Pricing has been the part I liked least. As your contact list grows or you send more emails, the cost climbs quickly. I eventually had to move away from the platform because it became too expensive.

“fantastic fit for small sites”
Pros
A standout advantage is the generous free plan which is ideal for smaller websites. The platform is easy to navigate, the documentation is clear and the dashboard offers a friendly user experience. Features like email segmentation and tracking add even more value.
Cons
Nothing to complain. The only real challenge is taking a bit of time upfront to figure out your strategy and how to implement it effectively with the software.

“strong pages but weak support”
Pros
Creating high-performing landing pages was one of the highlights of using this platform. The pages ranked well in search results and delivered impressive conversion rates.
Cons
One frustrating part is that customer support isn't available to free users. I needed help disconnecting and reconnecting my social accounts but there was no way to speak with anyone. As a result, everything I had been working on is now just sitting there without being monitored or updated.

“Great newsletter starter”
Pros
Launching a new project with this software offers excellent value, particularly because it's free for up to 500 contacts. The dashboard is easy to understand even for non-technical users and the resulting email newsletters look polished and professional.
Cons
Only part that doesn't really suit me is the 'chimp' branding style, as it's not quite my taste. Other than that, it's been a good starting point and they've added list management upgrades since I first began using it.

“Simple templates and navigation”
Pros
Campaign creation is refreshingly simple thanks to the polished templates and simple drag-and-drop editor. Importing contacts from CSV files is quick, segmentation tools are powerful and the overall interface makes moving between campaigns, audiences and templates feel convenient.
Cons
There are reporting tools included but the more advanced reports are not part of the standard plan my company pays for. As it stands, the reporting is fairly basic and really should be available more broadly across all plans so teams can properly evaluate their email marketing campaigns.

“quick adoption and faster workflows”
Pros
Even users with limited technical experience can learn the software quickly. The easy workflows and practical feature set help teams adapt faster and respond efficiently as customer needs evolve.
Cons
When it isn't handled well especially while juggling several EDM or campaign streams along with client feedback, the people administering the system can end up feeling overwhelmed. At times it seems like the platform keeps pushing demands at you without giving enough control over how responses are managed. The marketing team even jokes about "that damn monkey," but the frustration behind it is real whenever the workload in the system starts piling up.

“fantastic free tracking tools”
Pros
Setting everything up takes very little effort. Importing customers, organizing segments and launching campaigns can all be done quickly and the free entry point makes it especially attractive for growing businesses with limited marketing budgets. The inclusion of tracking tools in the free version is another major benefit.
Cons
Each plan does come with its own limits. That said I'm honestly surprised by how much functionality is included in the free version. The only real drawback is having their logo displayed at the bottom which is fair enough since it's a free plan.

“newsletter management gold standard”
Pros
For newsletter management, this platform sets a high standard. It integrates smoothly with other tools and its connection with Zapier greatly expands its capabilities. Automated handling of deliverability, tracking, bounce management and subscriptions saves a significant amount of time.
Cons
Biggest downside is the price. Even though I can admit the product delivers enough value to justify the cost, it starts getting seriously expensive once your client or newsletter list grows past 10,000 people. That's a number you can reach pretty quickly if your marketing is working well. Once you get beyond that point, it becomes very tempting to start considering other options.

“mailing list tools i enjoy”
Pros
Managing mailing lists is uncomplicated and creating image-rich emails is just as easy. The signup form builder is another useful feature that simplifies the entire process.

“cohesive templates and clear tracking”
Pros
The user-friendly design makes client follow-ups easy to manage, while the templates help maintain consistent branding. Being able to track opens and identify the most engaged contacts is particularly valuable.
Cons
Sending emails to contacts that aren't already added to a list can be a little inconvenient but it's an easy fix once you create lists in advance with all the key contacts you'll need later.

“powerful bulk email sending”
Pros
Sending hundreds or thousands of emails with a single click is a major advantage. Additional templates for non-promotional business communications, such as requests for proposals, would make it even stronger.
Cons
Importing a contact list of just 170 users took over an hour and the whole process was slow and buggy. I also tagged some contacts but those tags didn't show up when I searched for them later. Then a few days afterward, the interface changed completely so I had to relearn where everything was. Replies were supposed to land in the Inbox but instead they kept going to the old Conversations tab which had apparently disappeared and was only accessible through a tiny link I happened to stumble across. That made things really confusing especially since the Inbox has stayed empty for weeks even though replies are still coming in. The worst part was that I was sending a completely non-promotional email, yet many of them still ended up in spam folders.

“clean look and friendly feel”
Pros
The clean, modern interface immediately stands out. Everything feels simple to navigate and the overall design creates a welcoming and professional experience.
Cons
Downside is that it can be somewhat pricey. At times, it also doesn't seem as well known as other email distribution platforms and it doesn't appear to have broad adoption among professionals.
