“top choice for email campaigns”
Pros
As far as mass email marketing platforms go, this is widely regarded as one of the industry benchmarks and remains a go-to solution for many organizations.
Cons
Pricing model could definitely be improved. It feels expensive especially when you compare it with Sendgrid, Constant Contact and other competing tools.

“powerful newsletter customization”
Pros
Managing newsletters for more than 3,000 subscribers was surprisingly easy with this platform. Even as a first-time user, I was able to create multiple campaigns and HTML newsletters without difficulty. The customization options are extensive, the template selection is strong and the reporting features, including geo-tracking, Google Analytics integration and social media integration, provide valuable insights. The simple interface made it easy to find everything I needed from day one.
Cons
The biggest reason I moved away was the pricing. After a price increase quite a while back, I started considering other mailing platforms and eventually switched to MailerLite which cost me $30 instead of the $49.99 plan I had been paying for. Their pricing structure has changed a lot over the years and in the end, those changes were enough to push me to another service even though I still felt it provided a very great product overall.

“reliable delivery and engagement tracking”
Pros
Every email gets delivered successfully and the recipient engagement tracking is really strong. The letters are also customizable, with stylish designs that make them look polished.
Cons
Getting started takes a little time because there's definitely a learning curve at first. After that, sending letters becomes more manageable but it can still be confusing to work out how to send them to specific groups. Creating a letter outside the provided templates can also be tricky if you're trying to make it look clean and well put together.

“helpful stats and photo editing”
Pros
Being able to upload our own photos and make edits directly in the program has been really useful. One thing I especially appreciate is how simple it is to keep track of the key details, like who is opening our newsletters, who is clicking the embedded links and who is unsubscribing. The statistics are very well done and that has helped us build more engaging content while also giving us a clearer sense of which customers may need a more personal, one-on-one approach because they are not interacting much.
Cons
Adding videos to our newsletters has been pretty frustrating. When we tried connecting Facebook to the system, the permissions it required felt far too broad. With so many people paying close attention to privacy now, there really should be a less invasive way to pull in a post without needing access to my entire contact list, customer experience tools and ongoing insight into our business when the account is linked.

“beautiful newsletters with strong visuals”
Pros
Creating newsletters with this feels much more polished than sending standard text-only emails. The visual design makes outreach look more professional and gives the emails a lot more credibility.
Cons
One ongoing frustration is that emails still get flagged as spam fairly often even when we have permission to contact people. Since we work with a large number of contacts across different sectors in our organization, it's frustrating when those messages don't end up reaching everyone.

“best for email automation”
Pros
Once email marketing automation became available across every plan, it really pulled ahead of the competition. I've worked with plenty of other email marketing tools and this one is by far the most user-friendly. Creating emails, editing them and making quick changes feels very easy. A few features I especially love are the automated emails for different content marketing campaigns, the link checker which has saved me from some major errors and how simple it is to send test emails to coworkers or clients.
Cons
I'd still like to see improved tracking of whether a specific person actually opened an automated email. There are also times when customers don't receive an automated thank-you message and it's hard to figure out what caused the issue.

“simple signup and communication”
Pros
Even for people who aren't very tech-savvy, this platform is really easy to use. We use it through my daughter's school to send invitations for volunteer opportunities and it makes signing up and communicating simple for everyone.
Cons
The only downside that comes to mind is the overall appearance of the screens, they feel a bit dated and could use a more modern refresh.

“reliable transactional email setup”
Pros
Transactional email is pretty much essential now and this system performs a lot better than a basic bulk email blast. We see noticeably stronger open rates and better engagement when using it so I'd absolutely recommend it. It also includes the tools needed to get everything configured without much trouble. The API documentation is great, the uptime has been very reliable and the service delivers exactly what it promises.
Cons
Having to maintain a paid account and access Mandrill through that does feel a bit odd although it's a small issue overall. I'm not the one using it directly since our marketing team works with a different platform but our developers do rely on Mandrill.

“simple newsletters and strong engagement”
Pros
Book has become the central communication hub for all of our internal engagement. The tool feels very easy to use, from the ready-made templates for quickly building newsletters to user management, visibility and tracking. We also make good use of the API external view to publish selected messages on our company website which has helped increase engagement and readership.
Cons
Setting up templates can get a little challenging when we need more complex layouts and having some HTML knowledge definitely helps with getting everything just right. Once the template is in place though, everything runs very smoothly.

“spam-free subscriber collection”
Pros
A big plus with this tool is that spambots can't flood my mailing list with fake email addresses. That was happening constantly on another platform I use so this has been really ideal for collecting real subscribers.
Cons
The downside is the pricing gets pretty expensive once the list reaches 2,000 subscribers or more. At that point, it becomes harder to actually make money from the mailing list.

“reliable newsletters with flexible templates”
Pros
Switching to this platform made us drop every other newsletter system we had been using for our church and music industry communications. It's simple to implement, very user-friendly and has been stable and dependable the whole time. Setting up a list is easy, with multiple options for importing data. Building and customizing signup forms is also very manageable which is especially helpful when connecting them to a website. Creating templates is quick and reusing them over time works really well. The newsletter layouts are also genuinely useful and give plenty of good options.
Cons
A few of the more advanced features, such as sending email batches based on users' time zones, are limited to the paid subscription. That said it feels fair and the subscription pricing is quite reasonable.

“smart lead tracking tools”
Pros
Email marketing has evolved a lot since the early 2000s and this platform has really been at the forefront of that progress. The software feels very capable while still being simple to navigate. My favorite part is being able to track leads and sales through call-to-action buttons which is a feature that really helps it stand out from other competitors.
Cons
One area that could be better is its customization for product-based emails. There aren't enough flexible templates included and if you want access to more of them, you usually have to pay extra.

“generous free plan and reach”
Pros
Running a small business, I really appreciate how generous the free account is. Being able to send 10,000 emails a month to as many as 2,000 users on the free plan is a huge benefit. It also comes with a lot of useful insights, like geo-tracking and social media integration which add real value. Creating content is simple and I can reach a large audience with just a click.
Cons
The only downside for me is the pricing once you move past the free plan. If you need more than the basic subscription, it becomes a much more expensive option compared with some other platforms available.

“Easy campaigns with deep customization”
Pros
Creating contact lists, designing emails and engaging with your audience is very easy. Features like mobile previews and test sends make it easier to confirm that messages display correctly before launching a campaign. The design tools are highly flexible, supporting everything from simple drag-and-drop editing to fully customized HTML-coded templates.
Cons
The pricing has started to feel somewhat expensive and because it doesn't integrate with our current CRM, we have to handle additional manual steps in our workflow.

“better integrations and wordpress control”
Pros
It's improved a lot over the years and the current integration options are what I'm happiest with. One feature I really appreciate is being able to install a plugin on a WordPress site. That lets you build campaigns, track visitors and manage contacts right from the website backend. Having marketing reports available there too makes it much more convenient to review performance and adjust the site without jumping between platforms. It's also simpler to manage overall since editors only need access to one system instead of several.
Cons
One thing still missing is a built-in chatbot. They do offer an integration with Gobot but it doesn't feel very convenient because you have to set up a separate account with another provider. Adding this natively would strengthen the platform's current capabilities even more.

“effective landing pages”
Pros
Although it's mostly known for email marketing campaigns, it also works really well for building landing pages to capture leads. At our company, we use those landing pages in our Google Ads instead of sending traffic to our website since it helps us collect leads more directly. The live chat support for paid users is also available and it has been very helpful whenever we've needed it.
Cons
Platform layout used to be a little confusing to navigate but they recently introduced a redesigned interface that feels much more simple.

“affordable templates but frustrating integration”
Pros
For a small business with fairly simple segmentation needs, this platform is pretty easy to use. It's also inexpensive compared to other tools and the email marketing templates along with the plug-and-play design features are really great.
Cons
Connecting it with Pipedrive is far from simple. I've had to rely on Zapier just to mirror my tags and to make that work properly I needed the tag IDs. Even when using Postman, I still couldn't access all of those IDs. On top of that, the support center isn't much help when you actually need assistance.

“all-in-one contact management win”
Pros
Everything being in one place is amazing and it makes managing contacts really simple. The tagging feature has been a huge help and makes marketing tasks much easier to handle.
Cons
It would be even better if there were more tutorials available at the beginning. The software itself is simple to use but it doesn't really show you how to write and structure an email for your campaign.
