Easy and simple platform

Pros

Getting started with it felt very natural. The platform is simple, packed with integrations and has a lot of power behind it. Since clients already understand what it is, selling it doesn't take much effort.

Cons

Pricing starts to feel expensive once your lists get larger. It would also help to have more bite-sized learning resources for building deeper knowledge.

quick to teach and launch

Pros

There's very little to learn which makes it practical to roll out with clients, load up with templates and then hand off without much trouble so they can manage it on their own.

Cons

Every now and then, the emails we send end up in spam which is annoying though I realize that can happen sometimes with these kinds of tools.

powerful free plan

Pros

Compared with a lot of email marketing platforms out there right now, the free version gives you access to most of the key features you'd actually want to use.

Cons

It's simple enough for people with no background in email marketing to get started with and it can be a worthwhile long-term investment for anyone who takes email marketing seriously.

handy for bulk client emails

Pros

Working in real estate means I often have to email several clients at the same time and this makes that process really simple.

Cons

Importing contact lists can be tricky at times which becomes frustrating when I need to send something out in a hurry.

professional emails that feel polished

Pros

Sending emails to my mailing lists feels fun and surprisingly stress-free with this. That little prompt with the sweaty hand and finger hovering over send, asking if you're really ready, still makes me laugh every single time. My emails come out looking polished and professional which is a big plus. I also really enjoy being able to add buttons so people can email me directly or open a professional PDF document. I use it for weekly and monthly event emails, membership upgrade notices, general member communication and even real estate updates. It gives everything a very professional look and I really appreciate that.

Cons

One thing I do wish it offered is some way to contact customer service on the free plan. I've run into a couple of questions and had to figure out workarounds on my own since there wasn't an option to reach out for help. Even with that limitation, I do genuinely appreciate that there's a free version available.

strong newsletter management

Pros

Running our email newsletters through this platform has been a really positive experience. It helps my company organize and simplify all of our external email communication very well.

Cons

At times, working through all of the mail preference options can be a bit difficult and that tends to slow down the setup process.

Great features and real results

Pros

A generous free trial is what initially brought us in but we've stuck with it because it's so simple to use, packed with strong features and has delivered measurable results over time.

Cons

From an eCommerce perspective, the online catalog integrations could definitely be better. The BigCommerce connection isn't bad but customers still end up seeing ads for fabrics that are out of stock and there's no simple way to spotlight new fabrics. It's a fairly minor issue and there are workarounds though it's still an area that could use improvement.

versatile for client websites

Pros

As a web developer, I build websites for clients and a lot of that work includes connecting the new site with their existing digital marketing setup. That usually means things like capturing new contacts through the website and making sure email templates visually match the branding and design of the site. Clients are often genuinely surprised by how flexible and capable it is even when they've already been using it for years.

Cons

One challenge is that the learning curve can feel pretty steep when you're trying to do something outside the usual standard setup. The good part is that the documentation is thorough and helpful but it can still take a while to work out which part of it actually applies to the specific task you're trying to complete.

Adaptable email tools anywhere

Pros

Being able to save templates for later is a big plus. Adding pictures to emails is simple and it does a good job of staying current with the email database. Since everything is web-based, I can get to it from anywhere which makes it really convenient.

Cons

It can take a bit of effort to train someone new on how to use it. You do have to spend some time learning the different functions before you really feel comfortable with the program.

helpful subscriber tracking

Pros

It's really useful that subscribers get added to my email list automatically and the stats stay current so I can see exactly how people are engaging with my emails, like opens, clicks and similar activity.

Cons

Since I'm on the free plan, I can't schedule emails ahead of time which is frustrating. The whole email-sending workflow also feels unnecessarily drawn out because I have to click through the same options every single time before I can even start creating the message. After that, there are four more fields to go through and if I want to edit the text, I have to reopen the entire design section again. Everything feels very slow although part of that might just be my computer. Another limitation is that I can send emails to subscribers with certain tags but I can't target people without specific tags and that really should be available as a filter option too.

hands-off list growth

Pros

Managing email lists becomes almost effortless once it's connected to a Facebook page, as new subscribers can flow in automatically without requiring constant attention.

Cons

Every now and then, I run into errors and it's not always clear how to resolve them. A few times, I've had to look things up online or dig through the help section to figure out a fix.

fantastic plans and reporting

Pros

Flexible pricing and an accessible interface are among the platform's biggest strengths. The free starter plan is especially generous, allowing up to 10,000 emails to 2,000 subscribers. While higher tiers become more expensive, the additional features justify the cost. Advanced reporting, including Google Analytics integration, geo-tracking and social media tools, adds significant value. Overall, it's a platform I've confidently recommended to colleagues and business contacts.

Cons

The only area that feels disappointing on an otherwise excellent platform is the automated response feature. It works well enough but it feels limited and not as simple as it could be. There's also no proper workflow editor for responses which makes the automation setup less convenient. Sometimes, keeping track of and managing each step in an automation can become unnecessarily tedious.

powerful all-in-one marketing hub

Pros

Creating and launching campaigns is easy thanks to the user-friendly email builder which balances simplicity with powerful functionality. Beyond email marketing, it also supports social ads, forms, landing pages and direct mail making it feel like a complete marketing solution. Frequent updates, extensive integrations with tools like Google Analytics, SurveyMonkey, Shopify and WooCommerce and easy-to-understand reporting all add to its appeal. The free plan remains highly practical for smaller contact databases and the extensive support documentation is another major advantage.

Cons

Where it falls a bit short is automation. If you're comparing it to dedicated automation tools, the workflows feel fairly basic and options like ActiveCampaign are definitely stronger for more advanced rules and better visual automation flows. Another downside is the lack of someone you can actually talk to when something goes wrong. You're mostly left to work things out through the guides which is manageable if you're fairly tech-savvy but a lot less helpful if you're not.

free plan that's fantastic

Pros

For anyone providing email marketing services to clients, the free plan offers tremendous value. It's an excellent option for new businesses and the platform is simple enough that even beginners can learn it quickly.

Cons

One thing I'm not a fan of is how email designs appear on mobile. They can look excellent on desktop but a lot of the time they're hard to adjust and fix properly for mobile viewing.

Great campaign tracking tools

Pros

The platform performs reliably for basic email and marketing campaigns while offering open notifications and tracking capabilities comparable to many competing solutions.

Cons

Handling and building email templates can feel a bit clunky. On top of that, you can only send emails to contacts who have already opted in to receive them.

professional email campaigns for free

Pros

Sending professional-looking emails to thousands of recipients without spending money is a major advantage. Support for images, merge tags, attractive templates and other useful features makes campaign creation much more effective.

Cons

Honestly not much to complain about. The platform changed a while back so now I can only keep one list before needing to pay but that feels reasonable enough. For a small business, one list is usually all I need anyway especially since I can still segment it.

fantastic email builder

Pros

Handling large email campaigns is remarkably simple with this solution. As someone who works with multiple client-required platforms, I appreciate how easy it makes campaign creation. Ready-made templates, drag-and-drop editing and HTML customization options provide flexibility for users of all skill levels.

Cons

Pricing is tiered and I've heard from some clients that budgeting can be tricky as subscriber counts grow. It's definitely something you need to monitor closely since costs can increase along with the size of your email list.

Perfect campaigns with some limits

Pros

As an overall marketing tool, it performs well and integrates smoothly with other applications making it a dependable option for campaign management.

Cons

There are still some limits when it comes to email formatting and how much you can customize. It also doesn't integrate with every application.

Pros

The WordPress integration is one of its strongest points. Setup is easy, support has been excellent and it works particularly well alongside WP Engine environments.

Cons

Haven't run into any real problems with this plugin. As long as it's kept updated and set up properly for your site, it continues to work without any trouble.

email marketing that delivers

Pros

Staying connected with customers through email campaigns is both convenient and effective. The ability to reuse campaigns from previous years saves time while contact management tools help keep subscriber lists organized.

Cons

Feature I wasn't thrilled about was the limit on email addresses before needing to upgrade to a paid plan. I tend to be pretty cheap so that was a downside for me.
