“best templating engine”
Pros
Right from the start, the templating and testing tools stood out as the best I've used. It's simple to pick up and just as easy to teach others, delivers the results you need and the final emails look polished in the inbox.
Cons
One downside is that it sometimes feels like it's trying to cover too much for too many different users which makes the user management area less clean than it should be. There are moments when it's not obvious where to go to manage users and lists and the way the user organization tools are set up can be confusing and not always very clear.

“fast, reliable email delivery”
Pros
Easy to use tool and using it day to day is just as simple. I like this tool and if your application needs to send emails, this is one of the quickest and most effective solutions available.
Cons
I had used it back before an IT account became required so it's disappointing that you now need one to use Mandrill.

“feature-packed and startup-friendly”
Pros
It's a full-featured platform with a wide range of capabilities. The parts I'd highlight most are how simple it is to use, the simple layout and how easy it is to train people on. The biggest benefit though, is being able to open a free account which makes it especially ideal for startups.
Cons
Pricing keeps going up as the business grows. A lot of users seem unhappy about that and it feels like the most significant downside. Aside from the rising cost, I really haven't noticed any other disadvantage.

“powerful once it clicks”
Pros
After spending a bit of time learning the software, it becomes quite easy to work with. Using it regularly really helps though because if you leave it for a while you may need a few minutes to get familiar with the workflow again.
Cons
Some features take a little time to fully understand especially when it comes to segmenting lists. The free version has lost some functionality lately although the paid plan is still priced fairly reasonably.

“my top choice for email automation”
Pros
Using this platform feels very easy which is one of the reasons I keep coming back to it. It's an excellent tool for automating all kinds of email tasks, whether that means importing customer database lists or setting up full email campaigns from start to finish. It has easily become my number one choice for handling email marketing.
Cons
Building campaigns can be a bit tedious even when I'm reworking something based on an older one. I really wish there were a way to copy and paste the structure from one campaign directly into another. That's honestly my only complaint at this point.

“free plan with polished emails”
Pros
Having access to a free plan is a big plus because it lets me manage a basic list and newsletter without paying and I can still put together emails that look professional even on the free version.
Cons
One thing I wish the free plan offered is more segmentation. My subscriber count is still only in the double digits but I already need some basic ways to segment my audience. I'm not sure whether other platforms include that in their free plans though I'm checking into it. I'm not really blaming them for it since I'm not a paying customer yet. I'd also love a more simple interface. I used this tool years ago and it felt more easy back then. These days, I end up Googling how to handle simple tasks more often than I'd expect.

“Reliable bulk email marketing”
Pros
This software works really well for promoting a business. Even the trial version lets us send up to 2000 emails which is very useful. It's a great option for bulk emailing and creating multiple campaigns while tracking users' emails is quite convenient.
Cons
Overall, it's good software but there is one thing to watch out for, if your email list contains duplicate data, the campaign can get suspended. It's better not to use duplicate email addresses.

“Creative freedom made simple”
Pros
Creating polished email campaigns with this program feels effortless. Between the built-in templates and the drag-and-drop editor, customizing everything is really simple. If you can imagine it, you can pretty much build it with this tool.
Cons
I've been using it for more than three years but lately the Shopify integration stopped working. That has made it much harder to bring new website sign-ups into the platform. I really wish they would support Shopify again.

“Perfect for budget-conscious marketers”
Pros
Running email marketing on a limited budget, I was really happy to have access to such a great free plan. It has let me build and stay in touch with two separate mailing lists, one for my business and another for my blog. If I want to do more later, I'll need to upgrade but at this stage it fits exactly what I need. The platform also feels fairly user-friendly. At the same time, I can tell that if I want to get more advanced with email marketing, I'll probably need to spend some time learning more. Thankfully, they provide helpful resources right in the dashboard and on their blog so I feel confident I'll be able to pick things up when I'm ready. One feature I've really appreciated is being able to manage replies directly inside the platform instead of answering people from my personal email. Having everything organized in one place makes a big difference.
Cons
I do wish the free plan included more email templates although it's not a serious issue and I understand the reason behind that limitation. The three free templates available have still been enough for what I need.

“A complete solution for growing businesses”
Pros
For small and mid-sized companies, this has been the best email service I've used. It's a very complete platform with automation, a user-friendly builder, signup forms, triggered emails and integrations with multiple web hosting services. The software is simple enough that almost anyone can manage it while still offering the flexibility to code if you have a more technical background.
Cons
The cost per email is a bit higher than some other email services but considering how many things this software can handle without needing much technical knowledge, I think it's worth paying for.

“Still worth using after years”
Pros
After using this program for more than 8 years, I still feel it's worth every penny especially when you rely on it several times a day like we do at the college where I work. Even though our campus only uses it monthly, it still justifies the cost. Overall, it's fairly simple to work with which has always been one of its biggest strengths although I'm not a fan of the newer audience/segment/groups update.
Cons
One thing that used to work much better was the way groups could be added or removed. Since we have to refresh our student and faculty rosters every semester, being able to quickly delete old groups and create new ones was really helpful. Now the updated process seems to require adding contacts first and then building segments and that feels much more complicated. I still haven't been able to do it correctly even after having it explained to me by a digital marketer.

“Making email campaigns easier”
Pros
Everything about it feels easy to use. The dropdown menus are clear and tasks that used to take 30+ minutes in other software now only take about 10 to 15 here. The templates also make sending eblasts simple enough that even the least tech-savvy person on our staff can handle it without trouble.
Cons
Web-building feature was only launched recently so it still has a few bugs that need to be ironed out which is understandable. Outside of that newer tool, the main program has given us no problems at all.

“Professional marketing for any business”
Pros
Right from the start, the software felt very simple and user friendly. It connects well with a wide range of CRM tools which helped me work more efficiently on my marketing efforts. The graphics and templates look really polished too and they give the impression that a professional designer customized them for you. It's a really valuable tool for campaigns and marketing, whether you're part of a larger organization or running a small business.
Cons
One thing that slows me down is the lack of a spell-check feature since it leaves me with more manual editing and there are times when I still miss something. I've also run into duplicate subscribers and there isn't a very practical way to manage that other than digging through the contact list and deleting them one by one. That part really could use more automation.

“Smart reporting for better targeting”
Pros
Reporting is really strong so it gives a clear picture of what clients are interested in, who is opening the emails and how to target them better. It also does an excellent job of guiding campaign creation, with useful tools that are easy to work with. The targeting structure is well organized and the template editor is a big plus since it lets you build a nicely designed campaign that fits just about any need.
Cons
Pricing gets quite expensive once you need more than what's included in the free plan. Another challenge is customizing a campaign so it feels less like a marketing email and more like a simple, friendly message from a real person.

“Simple automation and scheduling”
Pros
The drag-and-drop editor makes building emails very user friendly which helps a lot when setting up campaigns to send out. I also really appreciate the scheduling options and automated email features even though those are fairly standard in most email platforms now.
Cons
Things changed for me when I started running into problems uploading clients' legitimate email addresses. The platform relies on a third-party tool called "Omnivore" to verify whether addresses are valid but it flags addresses like hr@... or info@... even though those are absolutely real and commonly used. It forces you to clean those addresses out before the list can be uploaded. The most absurd part was that we only managed to upload a small list after removing one of the client's own valid email addresses which had a name attached to their domain. That issue is a big reason I ended up turning to other software instead.

“Tracking results made easy”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate about this software is how it tracks recipients and shows open rates. That makes it much easier to tell whether our emails are actually working or not.
Cons
Using it through the web can feel a little clunky at times and training people who aren't very familiar with computers or software can be challenging. I also have someone handling it who struggles to keep things looking consistent though that seems more like user error than a problem with the software itself.

“Great for company newsletters”
Pros
Putting together our monthly newsletter has gone really well with this software. The templates are easy to work with and being able to send to more than 2,000 people covers a lot of our company's needs. It also connects with other apps which makes things more convenient. I also appreciate the reporting that shows how many recipients opened the email and who chose to unsubscribe from future mailings.
Cons
More customization options would make it even better since right now you're pretty limited to the existing templates. It would also help a lot if there were a way to create and save multiple separate mailing lists.

“Clean design with useful integrations”
Pros
Clean layout and easy design made it comfortable to use. The interface looks decent and it works well with third-party apps which is a big advantage especially when switching between different computer platforms or tablets.
Cons
After using it for about a year, it feels like the product is not evolving as fast as other email alternatives on the market. They do have a free version which is nice but if you want more flexibility or plan to use something beyond Windows or Gmail, there are other options that offer better variety and more choices.

“Helping creativity go further”
Pros
Running outreach and newsletters isn't really my strong suit creatively but this tool makes the whole process feel very manageable. It helps a ton by offering templates, examples of what others have created, images, GIFs which I absolutely love adding to my work and plenty of other options that make up for my lack of imagination. On top of that, I can pull data from every campaign I send which has been really useful for improving how we connect with our audience and refining what we do.
Cons
Can't think of much to complain about. Every time I've used it, the experience has been very positive. If anything, I just wish I had more time to do even more with it.
