“Easy start for email marketing beginners”
Pros
When email marketing for my business came up, this was the very first software I thought of using. It works well as an email and newsletter tool for staying in touch with both existing and potential customers by updating them about services, discounts, promos and ways to reach the business. The free plan was a big plus because it gave me a chance to test the software before committing. I was able to send around 10,000 emails per month to 2,000 subscribers and it seems the paid plan offers even more. The drag-and-drop feature also works really well.
Cons
The only issue I ran into was that the drag-and-drop feature did not work with the classic template but aside from that, the software has been exceptional.

“Strong audience insights and segmentation”
Pros
Their analytics tools do an excellent job of helping you stay on top of customers and subscribers. Being able to segment and group subscribers in different ways is incredibly useful and there's a lot of creative freedom when building email campaigns. You can design just about anything you want and it's also possible to create ads which makes the platform even more versatile.
Cons
A few parts of the platform can be a little confusing especially when designing a campaign and uploading audiences.

“Campaign tracking made easy”
Pros
One thing we've really enjoyed is how well it organizes variations of mass email sends and lets us tailor them to different audiences. The campaign tracking and data collection are especially valuable because they give clear insight into which marketing tactics are working and which ones are falling short. It also connects nicely with Google email and Wix which makes it more useful in our workflow. On top of that, the email template builder is fantastic and allows for a very detailed level of customization.
Cons
Interface could do a better job of showing email details inside the app. At times, the information attached to items feels a bit sparse which can make things confusing. It's manageable if you pay close attention to the details that are available but the presentation could definitely be clearer and more informative.

“Great software!”
Pros
I am very pleased with what Mailchimp has offered, all the features are amazing, and I really enjoy using it. The emails can be created easily, by the drag and drop feature. They have email templates as well. It is a great tool and I would recommend using it.
Cons
A bit complicated to operate for someone who is not a tech/business person. They can make it a bit more user-friendly.

“Smooth integration with other tools”
Pros
Its flexibility is outstanding and the part I appreciate most is how well it integrates with such a wide range of services and platforms that I rely on across my businesses.
Cons
More advanced features can be difficult to use and the UX does not provide enough guidance to help users get the most out of the software. It really needs a more user-friendly interface and more built-in hints so people can better find their way around.

“Emails that are easy to design”
Pros
Right away, the platform feels very user-friendly and gives you a wide range of templates for email marketing, including custom ones you create yourself. Building mailing lists is also simple since you can add contacts one by one or import a full list at once. On top of that, it connects with many different systems which makes the whole process even more convenient.
Cons
Since the platform includes so many features, it can sometimes be unclear which function should be used for a specific task. That said they offer plenty of tutorials and customer support which helps a lot when you're getting familiar with everything.

“Complete email marketing solution”
Pros
Back when email marketing campaigns took a ton of IT work, you had to hunt down the right software, build it yourself, or keep patching and maintaining everything constantly. This company really changed that space by making email marketing much more manageable and effective especially in such a delicate area.
Cons
As the platform has grown over time, it may be due for a bit of cleanup. There are lots of newer features now and some of them could use a little refining.

“Essential tool for ecommerce outreach”
Pros
Connecting a button from our blog to this WordPress plugin was pretty easy and once everything was up and running, it didn't take much effort to keep it maintained. Managing contacts and subscribers was also simple.
Cons
Getting everything configured took a while. I did appreciate being able to import contacts but I ran into trouble getting the emails to actually send to subscribers. It turns out there was an extra setup step I had missed.

“Managing subscribers without hassle”
Pros
Running an online shop without this app would be a mistake. It gathers customer email addresses for you, makes sending promotions and follow-up messages really simple and it's already aligned with the latest GDPR rules. I'd absolutely recommend using it.
Cons
For larger online businesses, the pro version may be necessary and it is a little pricey although it does feel worth the cost.

“Feels easy from the start”
Pros
I've been using this platform for what feels like forever and it's still much more user-friendly than most other newsletter tools I've tried. Importing lists is easy, creating different audience segments is simple and I really appreciate how the product has kept pace by adding automations and tags. Designing attractive newsletters is also very manageable which makes it my go-to starting point for clients. The interface is the most approachable I've used and the free plan for smaller subscriber counts is a big plus. At this point, it offers nearly everything a growing organization with a serious marketing strategy could need.
Cons
Years ago, the biggest downside was that it didn't offer all the features some competitors had. AWeber, for example, had stronger autoresponders, journeys and scheduling options back then and this platform just wasn't there yet. Because of that, I sometimes had to move growing clients to other software when they needed more advanced functionality. That said those missing features have since been added so now I can start clients here and stay with it for the long term.

“Great tool for newsletters”
Pros
From a marketing standpoint, this is one of the best platforms I've worked with. It's not some magic money-making machine but it definitely helps build the path to success. The templates are a big plus because they make everything look professional and I can still customize them in a way that customers respond well to. It covers a huge part of my day-to-day work. Setup is simple and the tools are simple enough that I didn't need any tutorial to figure them out.
Cons
One part that could be better is the report design since it looks pretty unattractive. The numbers and statistics are what really matter, of course but visually it doesn't present well when I need to show it in a presentation. I end up spending extra time fixing that part myself.

“helpful templates for newsletters”
Pros
After nearly a year of using it for my own business as a blogger and freelance writer, it still works really well for what I need. I had also used it for about a year at a previous job before we moved over to Constant Contact. For my personal work, I really appreciate how easy it is to use especially the template feature. I rely on different templates throughout the month to stay in touch with my subscribers and that part has been especially useful.
Cons
I do wish the platform offered a larger selection of built-in templates. That said one feature I do appreciate is the ability to upload your own templates and images created in HTML, depending on the format. It also works well alongside other software like Adobe especially with images made in Illustrator or Photoshop.

“bulk uploads and email scheduling”
Pros
Being able to import bulk email lists from Excel and other formats like CSV, TXT and XLX is probably the feature I appreciate most for running mass email campaigns. On top of that, the option to schedule marketing emails by time and date for automation is really excellent.
Cons
Ready-made email and subscription form templates are quite basic at the moment and I think they could definitely be improved.

“fantastic email templates”
Pros
For more than four years, we've relied on it for our email campaigns and it's been a really positive experience. Our customers respond well to the emails and we can put together attractive templates that are clear and comfortable for clients to read. Our open rates have been strong and one feature we really appreciate is being able to see exactly how many customers are opening our emails. It's been a helpful way to stay connected with our audience and send out invitations to our public shows.
Cons
Only thing I'd really like to see is a bigger selection of email templates. Having more design options and additional template choices would make it even better.

“still my top email platform”
Pros
This was the first email marketing platform I used more than seven years ago and I've ended up bringing it with me to three different companies as my career changed. Even after all that time, it's still the platform I rely on most.
Cons
Working with their first-level support can feel a bit awkward and I honestly haven't had many positive experiences with that part of the service. On the other hand, it pushed me to understand the system better so now I usually anticipate their initial questions and have those answers ready before reaching out.

“Custom templates for growing campaigns”
Pros
Running personalized email campaigns and building landing pages is possible here without needing much technical know-how which has been a big plus. The wide range of templates for different needs makes it a really great fit for a small business like mine. It also helps me monitor campaign performance more closely and steadily grow my email subscriber list.
Cons
Some of the more advanced tools do call for stronger programming knowledge. We ran into a situation where a quick update was needed but since our email template had been built in HTML making changes through the standard text editor was quite difficult.

“reliable email tools and automation”
Pros
It's been working well for me for a long time so I really have very little to complain about. The free plan has been especially useful since it lets you keep a great number of people on your email list. I've also used it across a few other small businesses I run and it's held up nicely. On top of that, it does a really good job tracking conversions from email campaigns to website sales and the automation and landing page features have been very great too.
Cons
One thing I'm not thrilled about is hearing that things are starting to change and from what one of my publishing contacts mentioned, the free account is becoming more limited. Aside from that though, I still think the platform is very good and simple to work with.

“helpful support and polished campaigns”
Pros
Between the support chat and the genuinely useful Help articles, getting started felt much less intimidating. I didn't go into business to become an expert in email marketing software so anything that reduces the learning curve is a big plus. Email marketing is one of those necessary hassles and this platform makes it easy. Even with zero previous experience, we were able to get things set up and running pretty quickly. We tested a few similar tools and this one was the most easy for us. Running campaigns and newsletters is still complex but once we learned a few core basics, I was really pleased with the results. It also grows well with your business. When our mailing list got bigger, the platform didn't suddenly become much harder to manage. There are plenty of extra features we don't really use but the emails look professional and are simple to put together, including adding graphics and other content. It also handles repetitive items automatically, like the footer and address which saves time. We've never had an issue with our emails being flagged as spam either. And on a lighter note, I actually enjoy the occasional graphics. It may sound small but business can be stressful so having a bit of personality mixed in with great functionality is a nice touch.
Cons
Pricing is the biggest downside. It becomes expensive faster than I'd like. To be fair, that does push you to tighten up your marketing, remove waste and keep your mailing list more efficient so the cost makes sense. From what I've seen though, the competing tools are priced in a similar range. I don't really mind paying more for something that's user-friendly but I do wish they were clearer about things like "cleaning," "archiving," and similar features that could help lower monthly costs. I'm not looking to switch anytime soon but if they increase the price again after the recent hike, that would probably be enough to make me leave.

“Perfect outbound email value”
Pros
Using this service has been easy and the pricing feels fair for what it offers. It handles our outbound email communication needs well and does exactly what we need it to do.
Cons
One area that falls short is the analytics. Being limited to viewing outbound messages from only the last 30 days really restricts my team's ability to dig into data and track performance over time.
