flexible templates and useful reports

Pros

Being able to build your own template or choose from pre-made ones makes putting together email campaigns really convenient. Importing and exporting contact lists is easy too, whether through Excel or by copying and pasting emails from a file. The reporting is useful for seeing open and click rates which helps with tracking performance and planning follow-ups. It's also handy that campaigns can be cloned so similar messages like newsletters or event emails don't have to be created from scratch every time. Editing content is fairly simple as well, thanks to the text editor and drag-and-drop tools.

Cons

Free plan is very generous for up to 2,000 subscribers and 10,000 emails even with ads but the cost starts climbing as your list grows month by month. That can become difficult for nonprofits that don't have much budget but still want to expand their audience and send regular updates or communications.

Great dashboard and handy integrations

Pros

Right from the dashboard, everything feels well organized and user-friendly so launching and managing a campaign takes very little effort. It simplifies the whole process and makes things much clearer for anyone using it. The social media integration is also very convenient and works reliably. On top of that, the software is reasonably priced.

Cons

Getting the most out of the tool does take some time since you need to learn how it works before you can really use all of its capabilities.

versatile email campaigns that deliver

Pros

This automated email platform lets us handle pretty much everything we need. We send multiple campaigns each week to different segments of our mailing list and it has worked reliably without any major problems. It's flexible, versatile and has done a great job meeting our needs.

Cons

One area we're still working through is CRM integration and getting support involved to help make that happen has been difficult. Hopefully it's just a temporary issue and we'll have a solution in place soon.

Multi-format billing but weak support

Pros

Getting started with it is fairly easy and the navigation is simple to follow. Setting it up doesn't take much effort and building templates and campaigns is pretty manageable. The flexible billing is also a nice plus.

Cons

Beyond that, most things have been frustrating. Customer support is basically nonexistent when something goes wrong. They do offer a ticket system but responses take forever so it's not very useful. Segmentation also isn't simple to work with. On top of that, the Magento integration extension is really poor and there's no meaningful support for that either.

serious shopify sync failures

Pros

The interface looks nice and the feature set is strong.

Cons

Despite that, it caused two major problems for us. The Shopify integration stopped automatically sending new email signups to our list. On the surface, everything looked like it was working but after nearly two years we took a closer look and realized the app had missed 19,000 email addresses. In other words, 19,000 people signed up for our newsletters and never made it into our subscriber database. When we reached out about it, they acknowledged there had been an issue but said it only affected a small group of users. I asked why they hadn't warned anyone and they said they couldn't determine exactly who was affected. That response made no sense to me, they could have contacted all users and told them to verify their integration. Their attitude was unapologetic but we decided to keep using the service, hoping it was just a one-time problem. Then a few months later, thousands of subscribers vanished from our list in a single day. After repeatedly pushing for help, they eventually recovered those missing addresses but once again with very little accountability. At that point, our trust was gone so we switched to another provider.

Simple email marketing made easy

Pros

Email marketing can get complicated fast but this platform strips it down to its essence with a really elegant, simple design. It takes something that's usually complex and makes it feel approachable and the cheeky personality throughout the experience adds a lot of charm.

Cons

One thing that would make it even better is a "pause" option so I'm not stuck paying every month during periods when I'm not sending any marketing emails.

Powerful customization and control

Pros

Among email marketing tools, this has been one of the best I've used. The level of customization is really impressive since I can fine-tune the settings based on my own preferences and comfort and it all works with full integration. Building campaigns is one of its core features and honestly, that alone makes the platform quite engaging.

Cons

The platform is user-friendly and easy to work with. The features and functions are well built and line up nicely with what I need.

Automated campaigns with professional results

Pros

Running email campaigns with this tool has been really convenient because it helps me organize and automate deliveries quickly without much effort. The designs look professional and the templates have a very polished visual style while still being customizable. It also fits nicely into different projects, whether I need to add it to landing pages, web apps, signup forms, or emails. One of the biggest advantages is that messages sent through it tend to arrive as priority mail instead of ending up in spam. I also appreciate how much automation can be set up based on the information stored in the user database and configuring triggers or importing and exporting user lists is quite easy.

Cons

Feature I'm least satisfied with is the pricing structure. The gap in the number of email sends between plans feels too small when compared with the jump in price from one tier to the next.

Perfect for small business email needs

Pros

It covers the marketing features I actually need for my small business without piling on a bunch of extras I'd never use. Being able to track subscriber opens is especially useful because it helps me see where to focus my limited time and resources. I also really appreciate the email scheduling since I can set campaigns to go out while I'm busy handling other things.

Cons

A few parts of the software aren't very simple and some tasks take longer than I'd prefer. Because I only log in a handful of times each month, I sometimes have to re-learn where certain tools or settings are located.

Bulk emailing made effortless

Pros

Handling bulk emails no longer feels like a tedious manual job with this software because it lets us automate the whole process and create mass campaigns using its built-in templates which makes the emails look very professional. There's no need to download anything either since it works right from the browser and can be used from anywhere. It also allows email customization by adjusting buttons and styles and reviewing everything is easy thanks to its very simple menu which makes navigation simple. The best part is that emails sent through this software usually avoid landing in the spam folder.

Cons

It's not really a drawback so much as an improvement I'd love to see and that would be the addition of more modern automation functions since that would make the platform even more helpful for its users.

Great for small shop newsletters

Pros

Running email campaigns for our small wine shop has worked out really well with the free plan since our customer base is pretty small and we do not need anything too advanced. I handle all the emails we send to our mailing list and wine club members and one of the best parts is how simple it is to build a polished, professional-looking email exactly the way I want. The prebuilt templates also have enough variety to keep things from feeling limited. I really appreciate being able to track how many people open the emails and interact with them and the tagging feature is especially useful when I want to send to specific groups, like all customers or only wine club members. The birthday campaign option is also a really convenient feature.

Cons

Any time I need help with something unfamiliar, the FAQ and support pages do not always give me the answers I need so I usually end up searching YouTube or other places to figure it out. There are also quite a few more complicated tools in the platform that feel like they could cause problems if you are not totally sure how they work so I tend to avoid using those unless it is absolutely necessary.

Easy setup for beginners and blogs

Pros

It was quick since downloading, signing up and setting everything up didn't take much effort. It lets me receive a surprisingly large number of subscriber emails for free which makes it a very affordable option for a small business. I use it for my blog and because I'm only just starting out, the pricing works really well for my budget. It also integrates with WordPress and it has been doing wonders for my blog because I'm getting plenty of feedback. On top of that, it's simple to work with, provides automated registration forms for my website and even sends delivery notifications which is super cool.

Cons

One downside is that it doesn't work with my Gmail which is really frustrating. It's also not available in my language, Shona and there don't seem to be other language options either.

Beginner friendly email marketing platform

Pros

Getting started with this email marketing software was a really positive experience for me especially because it was the first one I ever used. As a complete beginner at the time, I was able to learn how everything worked without much difficulty. Using it for email campaigns is also very easy. It comes with ready-made templates that can simply be edited to create attractive-looking emails so there's no need to write HTML or have any technical background. Another feature I genuinely appreciated was the landing page builder. It allowed me to create landing pages for products without needing to own a website which was very useful for what I needed at the time. The Facebook integration was also a big advantage. Connecting Facebook to the platform was simple and didn't require any programming knowledge. Because of that integration, I could run Facebook ads for custom and lookalike audiences based on my email subscribers and I could also launch lead generation ads directly from the software. One of the biggest reasons I loved using it was the free plan. Being able to keep up to 2,000 subscribers and send as many as 12,000 emails per month without paying was incredibly helpful for my startup. It saved me a lot of money when I was trying to keep costs low. On top of that, it includes email analytics which helped me track and measure important campaign metrics.

Cons

Even with all those benefits, there are still a couple of things I'm not comfortable with. One is its approach to affiliate marketing. Since I'm also involved in affiliate marketing, I found it discouraging to learn that the platform is quite strict about the kinds of products that can be promoted. Because of that, I have not really considered using it for that side of my business. The other issue is the long-term cost. The free plan is excellent at the beginning but once a business goes beyond 2,000 subscribers or the 12,000-email monthly limit, you have to start paying for a package to continue using the software. Aside from those two concerns, I still consider it a very great and impressive email marketing platform.

Simple automation for customer outreach

Pros

Running customer outreach is much more effective with this software because it lets us send bulk emails quickly without much effort. Once the automation is set up, the messages go out on their own which saves a lot of time. The platform is also simple to use so even someone without special training can work with it comfortably. Setup is easy, contact lists can be imported in different formats and one of the biggest advantages is how well it integrates with tools like Google Analytics and social media platforms.

Cons

It has a lot of strong points that make it a very good option for campaign management but there is still one downside. The software only offers two plans and the difference between them mostly comes down to pricing which is still fairly expensive.

Still the best email tool I've used

Pros

After using it since 2015 and testing plenty of similar tools along the way, this one still comes out on top for me. It's simple to use, the interface feels simple, the reporting is easy and being able to customize audiences for each campaign is a big plus.

Cons

there's very little that comes to mind in terms of downsides.

Good functionality with inconsistent updates

Pros

There's a lot packed into this platform, plenty of features, lots of options and a great range of templates to choose from. The drag-and-drop setup is fairly easy so even someone new can get started without too much trouble. The knowledge base is also very strong. At the end of the day, it does what it's supposed to do and gets the job done. Compared with other tools I've looked at, none have really offered better value for the money.

Cons

Daily use can be frustrating because the platform is buggy at times. They also roll out major changes fairly often and those updates haven't always felt like an improvement. Even though the knowledge base is excellent, getting in touch with support can sometimes be difficult.

Free plan that supports growing nonprofits

Pros

Getting the first 2,000 names free has been a huge plus because it lets us use the product over time without added pressure. We moved over from Constant Contact since we needed something more budget-friendly for our new volunteer-run nonprofit and this has fit that need well. The platform is also very easy to use. It didn't take much time to learn and whenever I've had questions, the help documentation has been there with the answers.

Cons

One thing I do wish was better is the integration with our ticketing software, OvationTix. I attempted to merge data but the process wasn't very simple so I've ended up not really using that feature. I'm not completely sure whether the issue is with this platform or with OvationTix so it hasn't really changed my overall opinion of the software. I also run into a fair amount of emails landing in spam even though I follow the guidelines and stay away from subject lines that might trigger filters. It would be nice to have more support and guidance around deliverability in that area.

Easy teamwork and shared campaigns

Pros

Across several small-business clients, this software has worked really well and all of them have been able to stick with the free version. It's quick for both volunteers and staff to pick up and the drag-and-drop setup keeps everything easy and user-friendly. Being able to save templates is another big plus because it helps keep materials consistent every time. It also makes it much easier to stay on brand since volunteers and staff can work from templates you've already created. On top of that, having multiple users in one campaign is really helpful especially when you can track comments and logged changes from different people in the same place.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind. There are plenty of extra features included with the paid plans and I'd assume those are valuable too.

strong templates but frustrating organization

Pros

Putting together really nice email templates is one of the better parts of using it. The stats you get after sending an email are also quite good and give useful insight.

Cons

Managing folder organization and filtering people feels tough and takes more effort than it should. It's also supposed to integrate with our CRM but that connection doesn't work and neither side has been able to provide a fix even if the issue could be coming from either end.
