“Mailchimp”
Pros
This software is literally a life saver. It helps you save a lot of your time. We use it for our church to keep everyone updated with whatever is going on, events etc. It has this great feature to schedule the emails to be sent out at a specific time.
Cons
Takes a little while to figure out how things work. After that everything becomes very easy to do.

“Simple campaign automation workflow”
Pros
Campaign management in this platform is quick especially with the automation tools and landing page connections all in one place. The workflow is easy, the templates make setup simple and customer support has been responsive whenever needed. Adding contacts, creating forms and segmenting lists all make sense right away and are very manageable.
Cons
Drag-and-drop editor works well overall but I'd still like to see more layout options available. That said it does connect with other email design tools like Beefree.io which is really useful when I want more customized email campaigns.

“Powerful yet easy email builder”
Pros
Building emails and landing pages with this platform feels very natural thanks to the simple drag-and-drop blocks and it makes it possible to put together polished, professional campaigns without much friction. Connecting it to an online store is easy so pulling in products, personalizing campaigns for subscribers based on opt-ins or past purchases and automating full email and landing page sequences all work really well. The longer I've used it and experimented with more features, the more value I've gotten out of it. It manages to offer a lot of capability while still keeping the core experience simple and approachable. When you need something more advanced, the platform also has a strong library of resources that is genuinely helpful. The biggest reason I've appreciated it over the 10+ years I've worked with it though, is how committed it is to list health and, by extension, the health of the whole platform. They put real effort into teaching marketers how to run campaigns that perform well not just once but consistently over time across many sends and contacts. That focus on good email practices helps maintain strong trust with inbox providers and deliverability matters a lot to both me and my clients. More than once, I've been able to educate clients using the data and principles this platform taught me, both the simple lessons and the hard-earned ones.
Cons
Most of my complaints are the same ones I'd probably have with any email marketing platform. If I could change one thing, I'd want the email, landing page and web-building experience to feel more like Squarespace which is honestly on another level when it comes to drag-and-drop usability so that may be asking a lot. Another issue over the years has been support. Whenever I've looked for help, I've mostly been routed to the knowledge base so nearly everything I know came from figuring it out myself through trial and error, digging through articles, or doing a quick Google search. I know they now offer chat which is a nice addition. Still, for most of the 10+ years I've used it, I've basically had to wing it and the fact that it remains my favorite platform says a lot. The other area I'd really like to see improved is the automated email sequence engine because at times it can feel a bit glitchy.

“Great free plan for startups”
Pros
Getting started with this was incredibly simple and the free plan is really useful when you're just starting out. The templates are excellent and the pricing stays very affordable if your list is still small.
Cons
Once your list grows, the cost does jump quite a bit. That said it's not really more expensive than similar tools so it seems like a fairly normal tradeoff.

“Perfect free tier but complex automation”
Pros
When I'm setting up accounts for new clients, this is usually the platform I turn to first because the free version covers up to 2,000 contacts. A lot of other tools start charging right away and most startups aren't making money yet when their list is still under that size so it makes sense to wait until there's some ROI. It handles all the core email marketing needs too, like one-time campaigns, automations and reporting which I really enjoy using. On top of that, it connects with just about every software imaginable.
Cons
Getting automations set up isn't very simple and the overall process can be frustrating. The reporting was excellent before but since tagging was introduced, the way Lists work has changed and that has made the platform harder to navigate and use.

“Creative email design made simple”
Pros
Being able to build visually striking emails tailored to a specific audience is a huge plus. The platform gives us that flexibility without making the process feel complicated which makes the creative possibilities feel almost unlimited. I also appreciate that it offers subscribers a clear and simple way to unsubscribe whenever they want.
Cons
The little monkey high-fives are kind of comforting when you're just getting started but after a while they start to feel a bit cheesy.

“Simple and easy.”
Pros
It’s not much of a hassle to create emails and send out email blasts. It is easy to learn and use. I enjoy creating emails with their drag and drop feature. It is very flexible. You can change the size, font, add colors and do a lot more.
Cons
It does not allow you to upload video clips directly to Mailchimp. Video uploading is a long process, as you first have to upload it on YouTube and then you add the link to Mailchimp.

“reliable email tracking insights”
Pros
Mandrill has been really valuable for looking back at emails our company has sent. It lets us check whether a message was delivered or bounced and we can also see how many times it was sent, opened and clicked. Those tracking features are extremely useful for our team since we depend on Mandrill quite a bit to monitor all of that.
Cons
At this point, I honestly can't think of any downside to Mandrill. It's very user-friendly and simple to navigate around.

“all-in-one email campaigns”
Pros
Putting together polished email campaigns has been really manageable with this platform. It comes with custom templates and the option to import templates is also very useful. It's an interesting tool overall and after using it for the past two years, I'm still very satisfied with the service. It feels like a complete, all-in-one product for email marketing.
Cons
One thing worth mentioning is the customer service I've dealt with. The support team has been efficient, highly responsive and professional whenever needed. I genuinely appreciate both their marketing tool and the team behind it.

“Free Software”
Pros
Gmail doesn’t allow you to send out a lot of emails, so we got this. It is an incredible tool. It helps us send around 800 emails in one go just by a click. Designing emails is quite easy as well. Just a drag and drop thing. The moment we started using this tool, our lives have been a lot easier and we’ve jumped from start up to being a real organization.
Cons
It used to be completely free, but now they’ve added a paid plan to it, which is why they’ve taken some of the good email templates that I used before.

“simple ui and nice templates”

It's a really good option for managing email subscriptions on a website. The interface is clean and easy, the email templates look professional and integrating it into a site is pretty simple.

API documentation for website integration could definitely be better than it is now.

“helpful templates for beginners”
Pros
Getting started with this platform feels very easy especially for beginners because the interface is clean and there are predefined templates that make setup faster. I also appreciate being able to customize destination lists so the right audience gets the right message in each campaign. Creating a search or user form is also pretty simple. On top of that, the free plan for up to two thousand subscribers really helps it stand out.
Cons
There are not many major negatives I can point out but one downside is the limited number of fonts available. Another thing that is less appealing is the pricing once you have a very large audience. For small businesses, the cost feels fair and offers good value but if you have a lot of subscribers, the price goes up too much.

“email issues and poor support”
Pros
It's a valuable idea for staying connected with donors in our nonprofit program.
Cons
Right away, we had too many emails bounce back on our first send and the system locked us out. Getting access restored so we could use the program again was confusing and overly complicated and customer support wasn't helpful at all.

“fantastic free plan and guides”
Pros
There's a lot to appreciate here because it makes email marketing accessible to pretty much everyone, whether you're just starting out or already have experience. They provide plenty of resources and step-by-step guides to help users get going which is especially helpful for beginners. One of the biggest advantages is the free plan for up to 1,000 contacts. That alone is more than enough for small businesses and nonprofits to get started with email marketing. On top of that, eligible nonprofits can also get a discount on the paid plans.
Cons
I've had nothing but positive experiences with it.

Pros
Using Book has been a really pleasant experience. The platform is incredibly user-friendly and the customer service has been exceptional whenever help was needed.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see is more functionality for sorting lists inside the software. The landing pages also don't feel as competitive as other platforms and the pricing isn't clearly shown.
