“advanced features and great insights”
Pros
It comes with a strong set of features, including templates, tagged campaign lists and plenty of depth across the platform. The campaign metrics are really useful and it also connects well with a variety of CRMs and other tools through its many integration options.
Cons
Support for macrons is still limited. I'd also really like to have an audit trail that shows which users are doing what within the system.

“Versatile tools for growing lists”
Pros
Building a bigger subscriber list is a must if you want your business to grow and this has been a really great place to start. It lets you send bulk emails to subscribers quickly without a lot of hassle. You can organize contacts into categories, create separate lists and use tags which makes everything feel very flexible. Subscribers can be added one at a time or uploaded in bulk which is really helpful. The FAQ how-to videos are also incredibly useful. When I first started using it 4 years ago, I had zero experience with email marketing services but it was still very simple to learn. It works well for promoting a business through email campaigns, ads and landing pages and it continues to fit your needs as your business grows.
Cons
The only downside is that the pricing starts to feel a bit expensive as your subscriber count increases.

“effective campaigns for any team”
Pros
Whether you're part of a large organization or just getting started in digital marketing, this platform handles both really well. It's powerful enough to support all of our email campaigns at scale, yet simple enough for a beginner to build and send a basic campaign without feeling overwhelmed. The editor is easy which makes putting together polished, professional-looking emails pretty quick.
Cons
Even though the editor is very good overall, it does glitch from time to time. It's worth sending test emails and checking that your edits actually saved the way you intended. The automation features could also be stronger when compared with more advanced platforms like Salesforce although it still covers the majority of typical email automation needs.

“Flexible team access”
Pros
The drag-and-drop builder makes it really quick to put together mobile-friendly layouts which has been a big plus. It's also really convenient that multiple users can work under the same account.
Cons
A bit more flexibility in some components would make it even better. For instance, I'd love the option to create a two-line button and have more control over how the mobile layout differs from the email client layout.

“Branded emails and fast updates”
Pros
We rely on it to handle our outbound ListServ email databases and it's been really useful for that. Being able to save the templates we already use makes updating new information much simpler and helps us send things out quickly. On top of that, the email tools let us build polished, well-branded messages that look far better than what we'd realistically be able to put together on our own.
Cons
One drawback I've run into is with the template review feature. When I needed to review and share our communication plan, printing the emails from that section was frustratingly difficult. I ended up copying everything into Word just to print it. It's a pretty minor inconvenience since we rarely need hard copies but it still felt like a small oversight.

“Laggy workflow”
Pros
Even though the software itself wasn't really my favorite, I genuinely enjoyed the newsletters, tutorials and other resources they provide. On top of that, the platform is clearly powerful and packed with features.
Cons
Some of the features I wanted to use felt a little awkward and not very simple. I wouldn't call it unfriendly but it also wasn't the kind of tool where everything just clicks and works without much thought. Of course, needing to think through the steps and process isn't necessarily a bad thing. In the end, I went back to WordPress for what I needed although that may have been part of the issue from the start.

“Simple campaigns and smart timing”
Pros
Using it feels very easy and I really enjoy how quickly I can put together email campaigns. The automatic send-time optimization is also a big plus because it helps me choose the best time to send emails without extra effort.
Cons
I don't have any complaints about this powerful automation tool.

“limited design customization”
Pros
Being able to email any number of users is something I really appreciate. I also like that I can manually import my contacts which makes setup a lot more convenient. The different color background options are a nice touch and adding photos is simple which helps emails look much more polished and professional. I'm also glad there's a free signup option until you reach a certain number of clicks before needing to pay. That feels like a very thoughtful approach.
Cons
I miss the ability to use my own wallpaper since that option was removed and now you can only choose from the wallpapers they provide. I'd really like to see more flexibility in how color backgrounds can be placed and customized. More gradient choices, or even the ability to use a photo as the background, would make the design options much better.

“free starter plan”
Pros
This platform is one of those email autoresponders that almost everyone in the U.S. has heard of. It connects with nearly every SaaS tool out there and the free plan for up to 2,000 contacts gives people a great opportunity to start building an email list without paying upfront.
Cons
My only real complaint is how tricky it can be to send one email across multiple lists without some subscribers ending up getting the same message more than once.

“Adaptable templates”
Pros
After using it for around two years I can say it's easy to get set up and start sending emails. There are plenty of template choices which makes it possible to customize things however needed. It also provides useful stats for opens and click-throughs.
Cons
I keep running into wanting a bit more from the design template selections. I also don't always trust the click-through reporting since there seems to be a mismatch between what my own tracker records and what the platform shows as clicks.

“newsletter campaigns made better”
Pros
Sending newsletters, emails and campaigns is much more manageable with this software. They keep rolling out useful new features and it's been good enough that I not only use it myself but also recommend it to my clients.
Cons
Feature I like least is that the cheaper pay-as-you-go option is no longer available.

“clean design for quick feedback”
Pros
I've been using it since the early days and the simple design plus easy navigation still stand out. It's a really helpful tool for people who aren't very tech-savvy and just want an uncomplicated way to get feedback from their contact lists.
Cons
That simplicity works well for basic email marketing but it doesn't offer the same advanced features that many other email service providers have available now.

“my positive take”
Pros
We mostly rely on it for easy tasks like sending bulk emails to customer lists and the more time you spend with it, the more you realize how simple it is to organize, adjust and manage your lists using groups.
Cons
Most frustrating part is the campaign setup. After a campaign has been sent, that version is basically finished. If you want to send it again, the only real option is to replicate the campaign.

“best free option available”
Pros
The free version is really great, honestly one of the best options out there. The platform keeps improving over time and they regularly add better targeting features. It's also very simple to use.
Cons
Paid version feels underwhelming. If you're going to pay for the service, it really should include more functionality. The overall user experience could also use some improvement.

“powerful templates and analytics”
Pros
From a digital marketing perspective, this feels innovative, simple and very easy to use. After more than 10 years in the industry, I honestly don't see why anyone would want to code an entire email from scratch when this offers so many templates and customization options. They also keep evolving with the industry, regularly adding new features without increasing the cost. The analytics are especially valuable because they give a clear picture of how an email is actually performing. I've even worked at companies that weren't using it and pushed for them to make the switch and they did.
Cons
I really don't have any major complaints. The only thing I've noticed is that they occasionally change the platform layout so sometimes there's a new path to get to something you used to access differently. Even then, it's a very minor issue and not enough to make me reconsider using it.

“budget-friendly newsletter features”
Pros
Running a newsletter on a small-business budget feels much more doable with this pricing setup. The free plan gives you a real chance to use a great newsletter service before committing and only once you hit a certain subscriber count do you need to upgrade. I also appreciate being able to customize campaigns and organize contacts into lists and segments to keep everything manageable.
Cons
One thing I'd really like to see improved is template creation especially for keeping formatting consistent across multiple issues beyond the default layout. Right now, I still have to manually adjust things like font size and line spacing and sometimes that means going into the HTML every single time. It would be much better if templates could save those formatting choices and reuse them automatically.

“helpful forms and live list updates”
Pros
Being able to build forms and add them directly to our website has been really useful for getting people signed up to receive emails about our products. It also helps a lot that subscriber lists stay updated with the latest sign-ups and unsubscribes so everything feels current and accurate at all times.
Cons
Putting together emails can be a bit of a learning curve at the beginning especially since there isn't much built-in guidance or an on-screen tutorial the first time around. It's also a drawback that there aren't any true first-party CMS plugins available.

“newsletter setup in minutes”
Pros
Getting started with this is incredibly easy which is a big part of why it appeals to so many people. The program is very accessible so you can put together a well-designed newsletter in just a few minutes and send it out to customers without paying anything. There are paid options if you want more advanced features but for most small and medium-sized businesses, the free plan already covers more than enough.
Cons
Newsletter tools come with the usual complications around spam laws and similar regulations so it's important to be realistic about how subscribers can be collected. That feels more like a limitation of the email marketing category in general than a problem with this specific software.

“packed with value”
Pros
Biggest win here is how much you get out of it. It's simple to use, loaded with features and really feels like a strong value overall. I'm only using the free version and it still performs incredibly well. If I can figure it out and make it work, that says a lot.
Cons
Once you get into the more advanced tools, things can become a bit confusing and the interface for building campaigns sometimes feels a little awkward.

“helpful automation for outreach”
Pros
Running a small business means juggling a lot so the built-in automation has been a huge help. Things like email lists and campaign management can be a real challenge and this software does a lot to simplify that process.
Cons
