“mass emails made effortless”
Pros
Sending mass emails to clients and customers with this software feels incredibly simple. It keeps everything organized for our team and helps make sure updates go out to everyone right on time.
Cons
At the beginning learning how to use it was the part we liked least. It was a bit confusing for our team at first but once we understood how it worked, it ended up being completely worth it.

“newsletter workflow done right”
Pros
Right away this stood out because of how easy it is to use and how simply it connects with a lot of other software we already rely on. It makes sending newsletters and other email promotions feel efficient, organized and hassle-free.
Cons
The email templates could offer a bit more variety.

“our go-to ABM hub”
Pros
It's honestly become the central hub for our ABM efforts. The platform feels incredibly simple and the integration options are deep enough to support both the company I work for and my own business. The templates are a big help when you need to get moving without having a full plan in place. On top of that, the segmentation tools are on another level and the reporting is the best I've seen at this price point especially compared with Marketo and HubSpot.
Cons
One thing to watch out for is how strict they are about the leads you upload into the platform. If your dataset hasn't gone through email validation first, they'll flag it and hold it against you.

“Mailchimp is great”
Pros
Even without any background in marketing or design, anyone can put together, send, monitor and test polished-looking emails with it. The prebuilt templates are a big help and can be customized for different needs, including transactional emails.
Cons
My only wish is that the unsubscribe button wasn't required when sending an email to just one person.

“helpful newsletter growth tools”
Pros
Since 2012, I've used it to send marketing emails to my customers and it's been a big part of growing my list from just 10 subscribers to more than 10,000. It really showed me how to create an email newsletter from the ground up and the whole process feels very manageable.
Cons
Every now and then some odd glitches make the email layout harder to adjust than it should be. I'd also love to see more font choices. Another downside was not being able to access customer support until I hit a certain subscriber count.

“excellent targeting and deliverability”
Pros
Customizing emails for the right audience is really easy which makes campaigns much more effective. A big plus is that the emails actually land in inboxes instead of getting flagged as spam and that's been incredibly valuable. The drag-and-drop builder is another feature I've enjoyed since it makes putting together polished emails fast and convenient.
Cons
The free plan works fine for a lot of users but once you pass the limit, the pricing climbs pretty fast. That's really the only drawback I've had with this software.

“free mailing list win”
Pros
Running my business solo and trying to grow both my client list and fitness class attendance, I really needed an email tool that wouldn't cap bulk messages at a tiny number of recipients like Gmail did the last time I checked. This did exactly what I needed and on top of that it was free and simple to use.
Cons
A few of the terms on the site, such as "campaigns," aren't immediately clear if you don't have much experience with online assistant-style tools like this.

“newsletter customization that delivers”
Pros
Customizing things is quick and easy and the platform feels very aligned while still including all the features we need for the newsletters we send.
Cons
At the start we ran into some issues sending from certain email addresses but after working with customer support, we were able to troubleshoot it and now everything works beautifully.

“convenient CRM with mobile freedom”
Pros
this is one of the most user-friendly CRM and email list management tools I've worked with. Everything feels simple and the newer mobile app makes it possible to handle your email list right from your phone. That flexibility means you can stay on top of things even when you're away from your desk.
Cons
My biggest concern is that they might eventually change the pricing structure in a way that ends up hurting smaller bloggers and business owners. The current model really feels like the right approach. I'd even be willing to put up with ads in the sidebar or footer if it meant they would keep pricing the way it is now.

Pros

“affordable corporate email wins”
Pros
For corporate email campaigns, I found it to be a cost-effective solution with a responsive interface, fast delivery speeds and A/B testing tools that were simple for me to use.
Cons
I just wish it offered more editing options. In the end, that limitation was the main reason I moved to a different platform.

Pros

“lacking advanced marketing tools”
Pros
E-commerce newsletters are easy to manage with this platform and I appreciate how it consistently delivers attractive, mobile-friendly emails to my subscribers.
Cons
On the marketing side though, we have very specific retention goals and audience segments we want to focus on through our newsletter. The downside is that its out-of-the-box setup and overall approach to email marketing still lack some of the more advanced features we need. As our e-commerce business grew and we wanted to target users based on specific actions, that became much harder to manage.

“Helpful tutorials”
Pros
Learning email marketing felt much less intimidating thanks to the tutorials and they helped me build confidence while steadily growing my subscriber base.
Cons
Frequent updates are definitely a positive overall but some of them are pretty major. When that happens, features tend to get moved around and it can take a while to find the tools I use most often.

“generous free plan”
Pros
Generous free plan is one of the main reasons I recommend it and I like that I can still use custom templates when I need additional flexibility.
Cons
There are still a few areas that could be better. If you don't already know the interface well, it's not always obvious where to find common tools, like setting up an autoresponder after someone joins your list or editing the pop-up signup form they provide. Those kinds of options feel buried in the menus so it can take more clicking around than it should to locate what you need.

“Campaign building keeps improving”
Pros
Campaign creation has become increasingly aligned over time and the automation features help me keep subscribers engaged with less manual work.
Cons
Handling several lists can still be challenging now and then although the newer tagging system has made it better. I'd also really like to see some of the premium features made available to accounts that can't afford the higher tier and the same goes for social profile features.
