“smart lists and drag-and-drop win”
Pros
Back when I was the email marketing director at my previous job, this was the tool I relied on every single day for building emails and follow-up campaigns. The smart list features were fantastic, the drag-and-drop editor made creating emails incredibly simple and the price was very affordable. I honestly wouldn't choose any other software.
Cons
I really don't have any complaints. It handled everything I needed without any issues and it was able to support as many clients as I had to manage.

“affordable automation that delivers”
Pros
Working with this tool at a small LMS company, I really appreciated how useful and budget-friendly the basic plan was for startups and teams with limited marketing spend. We stayed on the basic package for a full year, yet it still included the features we needed, from campaign creation to marketing automation. It helped us turn the manual task of sending monthly newsletters into an automated process with recurring settings.
Cons
Getting started can be a little confusing because the platform uses its own terminology and definitions. The default templates also feel a bit outdated and not very eye-catching so they usually need some design work before they're ready to use.

“Simple setup and campaign sending”
Pros
The platform is easy to learn and I never felt like I needed advanced technical skills to handle basic email creation and sending tasks.
Cons
One thing they could improve is offering more template choices for people who aren't very tech-savvy so their emails can look more polished and professional. Like I mentioned, almost anyone can put together a campaign but if you're not familiar with the tools, the final result can end up looking a bit amateur.

“Strong email setup and integration”
Pros
I can get an account up and running quickly, connect it with other marketing tools, build lists and create professional email templates without much effort. It's also simple enough for me to train others on.
Cons
One small annoyance is that the reports sometimes need to be refreshed before the latest data shows up. It can also take a bit of digging to fully understand the pricing once you move beyond the fairly generous free plan.

“Advanced newsletter builder”
Pros
Guided setup process made creating newsletters, customizing content and tracking engagement feel easy and I appreciated how simple the interface was from the start.
Cons
I can understand why it might not feel as approachable for people who are less comfortable with technology. Some of the terminology is not immediately clear although it is something you can learn over time. My biggest frustration was the added cost for extras especially once my mailing list grew from 500 to more than 3,000 subscribers. At that point, the pricing no longer matched the services I actually needed or used and it became more expensive than I was comfortable paying.

“Versatile lists and integrations”
Pros
List management and segmentation fit naturally into my workflow making it easy to organize leads and client data. I also rely on the polished templates for inspiration whenever I need fresh design ideas and the extensive integration options have been incredibly useful.
Cons
Once our email lists started getting larger, the free version became pretty much unusable. The way it pushes users toward upgrading is clever but still frustrating when the added cost wasn't part of the budget and doesn't really generate income in return. Since most of the emails we send through it aren't sales-focused, it's been difficult to justify paying for it. This really starts to happen when you get to around 2,000 users. Aside from that, I also felt the template editor was somewhat difficult to work with and eventually I stopped trying to adjust layouts. It's not a huge issue because the built-in templates are good enough for most situations but when you have something specific in mind, it would be much better if custom design changes were easier to make.

“Fun design that just works”
Pros
From day one, the interface felt approachable and enjoyable to use. The playful design touches add personality but what matters most to me is that the platform performs reliably and consistently.
Cons
The only downside is that it isn't free but honestly, you get what you pay for so I really can't complain about that.

“Effective for every email marketer”
Pros
Whether I'm new to email marketing or already experienced, I can jump in quickly and start working without a steep learning curve.
Cons
It's honestly difficult to point out anything bad about it. If anything, the platform is very complete and really guides you through building a proper campaign but you do need to invest the time and patience to set everything up the right way.

“Fast learning with polished campaigns”
Pros
I was able to launch campaigns almost immediately thanks to the wide selection of templates and content blocks. The platform also helps me keep subscriber lists organized while producing professional-looking emails.
Cons
Since the recent switch to the new format, I honestly haven't liked it as much. I also feel the customization options are pretty limited after you choose or build a template, once it's made, you're mostly stuck with it unless you start over from scratch. I'd really like to see an undo option for deletions too because mistakes definitely happen. On top of that, getting emails to display properly in Outlook is difficult and I end up needing specific code just to make them look acceptable.

“Helpful newsletter builder”
Pros
Free plan is especially valuable for smaller newsletters and the drag-and-drop builder makes creating attractive campaigns simple. I also appreciate being able to manage multiple client accounts from a single login.
Cons
One downside is that support is only available to paid users. There are also times when the preview doesn't fully match how the email actually appears once sent. On top of that, free accounts are limited to only a small number of test emails.

“Joyful mailing list companion”
Pros
Even after years of updates and redesigns, the software remains enjoyable to use. The free tier offers tremendous value and the platform's unique personality makes routine marketing tasks feel more engaging for me.
Cons
At times, the workflow can be a little hard to fully grasp. They keep updating and refining the interface which is ultimately a good thing because it does improve over time but it still doesn't feel completely figured out yet. Merge fields can also feel awkward to work with. And even though the platform is generally user-friendly, features like A/B testing and automation will probably be too much for someone who's brand new to this kind of tool.

“simple campaigns with smart analytics”
Pros
The drag-and-drop editor allows me to create polished campaigns in minutes while the analytics provide valuable insights into opens, clicks and optimal send times.
Cons
One thing I do wish is that there were more template options with a more high-end look, if that makes sense. I'd love for our emails to resemble the polished campaigns I get from larger retail brands. I realize that with more web design knowledge or experience, I could probably build that style myself but I still wish there were better built-in options for those of us without that background to create more upscale-looking email campaigns.

“Good targeting but poor design flexibility”
Pros
Audience segmentation is one of the features I value most because it helps me deliver the right message to the right people. The social media integrations, campaign archives and detailed recipient tracking also make it easier for me to measure and improve results.
Cons
Basic editor is quite buggy so you have to double-check every time that everything looks and functions correctly. Even when things appear fine in the preview, they can still break in the actual email that gets delivered. Copying and pasting content is especially unreliable because embedded styles from the original source tend to carry over and create inconsistent formatting. Yes, a lot of this can be corrected in the HTML view but that defeats the purpose of using software that's supposed to simplify the process. The block-based builder also puts a lot of limits on how much control you have over email design. Something as simple as aligning images next to text at the top, middle, or bottom should really be included but it isn't. There are workarounds, like editing images to fake the layout you want but that shouldn't be necessary. It's also frustrating that if you run more than one type of business, you can't connect different social media accounts or set up separate business information options to choose from.

“WordPress integration that delivers”
Pros
One reason we keep using this solution is how well it connects with our website setups especially WordPress. When a lead comes in for one of our clients, we can quickly add it to a list and start them in a drip campaign.
Cons
The contact lists are flexible but I'd still like to see a few more CRM features included.

“Affordable email tracking powerhouse”
Pros
Keeping in touch with team members, clients and even volunteers is much more affordable with this software. It's user-friendly and comes with plenty of features that help emails look polished and flow well. I can also track a lot of useful details. For example, when someone says they never received an email, I'm able to go back and check their interaction history. That has been especially helpful with volunteers because I can confirm not only that the email was delivered but that it was actually opened and read.
Cons
I really only have one issue with it. After duplicating an email several times, the formatting can start acting up especially with font type and size. Even when the correct size is selected, it may still show incorrectly. The workaround is to delete the text box and make a new one. It's not a major problem but it can definitely get annoying.

“Beautiful newsletter tools”
Pros
Being able to sign up for free and still get access to so many beautiful formatting and editing tools for my newsletters is something I really appreciate. I use it all the time when I'm creating and writing my newsletters especially since I send them out every month to my subscribers. There are lots of options for changing the layout and style of the newsletter which is something I haven't seen offered this well in many other places. I also really enjoy adding pictures and using unique fonts to make everything look better. Another big plus is how well it keeps track of all my subscribers. I also appreciate being able to edit my subscription list easily since sometimes I need to send different updates to certain subscribers about my writing or ministry groups. The flexibility there is really helpful. One feature that helps me a lot before sending anything out is the test email option. It lets me check exactly how the newsletter will look before I send it to my full subscriber list and that has been incredibly useful for me.
Cons
One part I didn't really enjoy was the social share option when I tried to add social media links or buttons to the newsletter. It sometimes had trouble finding my social media links and the button setup felt a little awkward to work with.

“Clean templates and smart sequences”
Pros
Putting together attractive email templates and setting up automated email sequences was really easy and the whole process felt very user-friendly.
Cons
I was using the platform for two of my companies, both in the financial services space and then one day my account suddenly got frozen. Later I found out they had decided not to allow financial companies on the platform anymore. It would have been much better if they had warned me before freezing the account so I had time to move everything over to another service.

“Creative templates that save time”
Pros
There's a really creative mix of templates and it feels like there's something that works for just about every season. They're eye-catching and flexible enough to adapt to my business without much effort. I can jump online and put together a professional-looking email fast even without much training.
Cons
A few of the backgrounds can be difficult to change. It may not actually be that complicated but I don't have extra time to dig into the system. As someone without a lot of experience, I sometimes have to skip an otherwise excellent template just because one background color doesn't match my business branding.

Pros
There are tons of programs that connect with it which is a big plus. It really helps businesses automate a lot of processes and that makes a huge difference.
