“fantastic for getting started”
Pros
A really great option when you're just starting out. The free plan lasts quite a while before you feel any need to upgrade and the newer landing page features are a nice bonus too.
Cons
there's not much to complain about since they handle their core product really well. If I had to point out one thing, I'd say it would be nice to have the option to remove the branding on the free plan.

“professional newsletters on a budget”
Pros
Getting started with this platform was fairly easy and I was able to customize newsletters and track results without much trouble. While there is a small learning curve, anyone with basic computer skills should be able to pick it up after spending a little time with it. What impressed me most was how professional the finished emails looked. The free plan also gave me a great opportunity to test the platform before deciding whether I wanted to invest in a paid subscription.
Cons
Once you move past the basics, it becomes less user-friendly and for someone who is a true beginner with computers, it may feel quite difficult to use. I also felt that tracking the data after sending newsletters was not very simple. I'm hoping that with more time using it, or possibly by upgrading to a paid version, it either becomes easier to work with or offers more features that improve the experience.

“Flexible customer grouping and imports”
Pros
Managing customer lists is easy and importing contacts takes very little effort. I also find the grouping features useful for organizing audiences especially when working with e-commerce customers and segmenting buyers based on their purchase history.
Cons
Built-in templates can be pretty frustrating to work with. They don't allow the level of customization I wanted and they sometimes render poorly on mobile devices. In the end, I basically had to code my own templates to get something that actually worked properly.

“Smart templates and reporting”
Pros
Template editor is easy to customize, email scheduling works smoothly and the reporting tools help me plan future campaigns more effectively. I also like being able to personalize subject lines with customer information while the desktop and mobile previews make it easy to check how emails will appear before sending.
Cons
Picture wrapping can be unreliable at times for me. I also wish there were a better way to identify which contacts had already received earlier emails so I could avoid sending duplicate messages to the same prospects throughout the day.

“Versatile newsletter builder”
Pros
Drag-and-drop editor makes newsletter creation feel simple while the live preview helps me fine-tune designs as I work. List management is easy to handle and the built-in photo editing tools allow me to crop images, add text overlays, apply filters and create more polished-looking campaigns without needing separate software.
Cons
One ongoing challenge for me is that newsletters often display differently across email clients like Outlook and Gmail. Spacing and formatting can shift unexpectedly for us making designs look inconsistent. Copying and pasting content can also introduce hidden HTML that affects templates for me, adding extra cleanup work even though support has provided workarounds for us.

“Free tools and 2,000 subscribers”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages for me was the generous free plan. Having access to essential email marketing features for up to 2,000 subscribers made it easy to launch and manage my blog newsletter without any upfront costs.
Cons
Users with limited technical experience may find it difficult to customize subscription notification emails and make them look polished without some additional knowledge in my experience.

“Excellent setup and support”
Pros
Setup was quick, customer support was responsive and adding custom HTML didn't require much effort. I was also pleasantly surprised by the strong deliverability rates and the free trial made it easy for me to get started without any financial commitment.
Cons
A wider variety of email templates would be welcome for me and free access to live support would make the platform even more beginner-friendly for us.

“Clear pricing and professional outreach”
Pros
Platform is easy to learn, the pricing structure is logical and the plans remain affordable. It provides a professional way to communicate with clients while keeping the overall experience simple and approachable for me.
Cons
I would love more visibility into how many emails are immediately discarded without being opened although I understand that level of tracking may not be practical to implement for them.

“Helpful campaign setup and exports”
Pros
Campaign creation is easy, exporting information is convenient and the interface feels simple. I was able to become comfortable with the platform quickly because most features are easy to locate and understand.
Cons
Email tracking is not always completely accurate for me. It can be difficult for me to distinguish between a genuine open and activity caused by someone forwarding the message.

“Better reach and strong usability”

Connecting with both existing and potential customers is simple through this platform. The setup process doesn't take long and I was able to start building and managing campaigns almost immediately.

“Advanced marketing toolkit”
Pros
Free entry-level plan is one of the strongest reasons to try this platform. Even with some limitations, it includes many of the same tools available in paid plans, giving me access to email campaigns, landing pages, pop-up forms, automation features, audience segmentation, reporting, A/B testing and advertising tools. I especially appreciate how well it integrates with WordPress and the large ecosystem of plugins that extend its functionality.
Cons
It would be helpful for me if the free plan included limited access to a few premium features so I could evaluate them before upgrading although the overall pricing remains fairly reasonable to me.

“Effective email campaigns”
Pros
Among email marketing solutions, this stands out as a strong option for businesses of all sizes. The flexible pricing plans accommodate different contact volumes while the extensive template library allows me to either launch campaigns quickly or build fully customized designs from scratch.
Cons
Cost can feel a little high for me and list segmentation is not always as simple as I would like. Support response times can also be slow for me sometimes requiring a lengthy wait for assistance.

“great pick for newsletters”
Pros
Using this platform has been an easy experience and I often recommend it to businesses that want a dependable newsletter solution without the complexity or expense of advanced marketing automation systems.
Cons
There are no major drawbacks for basic email marketing in my experience but the platform is not always the best choice for highly advanced customer journeys or complex automation workflows for us.

“Best-looking templates and handy free tier”
Pros
After testing many newsletter platforms, I still find the built-in templates among the best available. They rarely require significant adjustments and the updated template editor makes customization even easier. The free plan continues to meet my needs and I also enjoy the educational content and marketing tips they provide through their newsletters.
Cons
Paying extra just to receive subscriber notifications feels unnecessary to me. List management could be more aligned for me and bulk deletion of subscribers based on specific criteria is more tough than it should be for us.

“Reliable campaigns and excellent delivery”
Pros
Day-to-day use feels simple, whether I'm creating a new campaign or duplicating an existing one. The available extensions add useful functionality, the signup forms look professional out of the box and customization is easy. Strong deliverability and a generous free plan make it an excellent option until a subscriber list grows beyond the free-tier limits.
Cons
Compared with some competitors, the paid plans can be expensive for me. Campaign styling tools also have a learning curve for me and do not always produce the exact design outcome I want.

“Beginner-friendly templates for users”
Pros
Right out of the box, this is very simple to work with. It comes with plenty of templates and helpful guidance which makes it especially useful for new users or anyone who isn't an experienced email marketer. There's also great support for building and managing an email list.
Cons
Platform is clearly designed with beginners in mind for me. While the 2,000-subscriber limit works well for new users like us, it can feel restrictive for businesses that already have a larger audience.

“Creative email builder”
Pros
Using the drag-and-drop builder, putting emails together is incredibly simple. There are lots of helpful tutorial videos that show you how to use the platform and create different kinds of layouts. It covers almost everything you'd want to do and creating, saving and duplicating templates is easy while also helping you stay compliant with communication regulations. The analytics are fairly basic but they still give you the key information you need and managing client lists is uncomplicated. The pricing is reasonable, with several package options so users can pick what works best for them. If you do not want to design templates from scratch, there are also plenty of pre-made designs available. It is also very visual so you can clearly see the email taking shape as you build it.
Cons
There are some limits when it comes to customization so creating more complex layouts can be difficult. While the analytics are useful, they could definitely include more detail. I also ran into situations where clients wanted to attach a document the way they would in a standard email platform but that is not really how this tool is designed which often led to extra and sometimes lengthy conversations about why its method was supposed to be better. Another frustrating part was that you cannot type directly into the email itself and instead have to click into the text box on the side which did not feel simple.

“Insightful analytics and sales insights”
Pros
One of the most useful parts is the tracking data you get after sending an email. The homepage gives a clear snapshot of your campaign stats and lets you compare current results with previous emails. You can quickly see subscriber counts, opens, open rate, clicks, click rate and similar metrics. If you sell products, it can also connect to your store and show how many people clicked through from the email and ended up making a purchase. That number does not always feel completely exact but it still gives a helpful range when you are monitoring performance.
Cons
Editing emails is where it gets frustrating. Our team has several people review the newsletter before it is sent and the editor does not handle multiple rounds of changes very well. A lot of the time, I end up copying the email into Google Docs so everyone can make their final edits there, then pasting everything back into the platform afterward. The built-in editor also does not always behave the way you expect when making changes. On top of that, I wish there were better options for exporting reports that are more detailed and better organized.

“Trusted email marketing favorite”
Pros
For years this has been the email marketing platform I keep coming back to. As it has become more popular, the feature set has expanded nicely too. The pricing feels fair and the email builder is terrific. List management does the job well even if it's not outstanding. Campaign management is great in the same way. Reporting though, is very, very good. They've also added landing pages and those work just as well as the email side of the platform which is a big plus.
Cons
The weakest area, in my view, is list export. It can be done but the process isn't very obvious. Since exporting lists is something I rarely need to do though, that downside ends up being pretty minor.

“fantastic value for email campaigns”
Pros
As a new business this gives me outstanding value for the money. I can manage up to 2,000 subscribers and send 12,000 emails per month at no cost which is hard to beat. The email templates come with plenty of options and it connects with nearly every product or service I might need. The interface feels simple, the reporting is dependable and the A/B split testing for campaigns is well supported.
Cons
One thing it was missing as of June 2018 was support for tags, along with unlimited marketing automation. If advanced features are a priority, I'd suggest taking a look at ConvertKit instead.
