delivery rates that hooked me

Pros

Compared with other tools I've used, the letter delivery rates here are excellent. Managing the email database feels much better than it does in similar platforms. Even the free plan comes with limits that are actually workable and that's what got me interested in the first place.

Cons

The pricing is probably my least favorite part of the platform. Getting issues resolved through support also takes more time than I'd like although they were still very helpful in the end.

reliable integrations and polished design

Pros

Everything has worked really well for me, from the polished look to how well the integrations perform. I've used it for years, tested other services along the way and still ended up coming back to this one every time.

Cons

One thing I'd like to see improved is the billing timing when I clean up my lists often. I'd prefer the price adjustment to show up on the current monthly bill instead of having to wait until the following one.

user-friendly and informative tool

Pros

It lets you share a lot of information about your company with customers in a very short time and the platform is very user-friendly.

Cons

If you need a larger database, you do have to pay and it can be a bit expensive although it's still an amazing piece of software.

powerful automation and clean delivery

Pros

Interface feels polished and the feature set is impressive but the automation is easily the best part for us. Being able to build automation campaigns quickly at no extra cost is a huge plus. Out of all the platforms we've used, this one also seems to have the best chance of staying out of spam folders.

Cons

nothing major comes to mind as a downside. The only real upgrade beyond this would be working with a full-service provider that offers more hands-on control over design.

cute templates and powerful ecommerce tools

Pros

Putting campaigns together in this platform feels very easy. It reminds me of Squarespace in the way you can move sections around and customize content without much hassle. There are helpful prompts built in along the way which make it easier to catch mistakes while creating things. For example, it warns you about issues like using oversized images that could overwhelm someone's inbox. Managing subscriber lists is very simple and creating general sign-up forms is fast and uncomplicated. Even the branding is fun and playful which honestly makes late-night email building feel a little less dull. The available email templates are incredibly helpful too, from automated birthday messages to subscriber thank-you emails and plenty more. The built-in analytics give you useful insight so you can understand your audience better and retarget customers more effectively. If you work in e-commerce, this software is absolutely worth using. Features like abandoned cart emails, product retargeting and all kinds of follow-up templates make it especially valuable for online businesses.

Cons

Since I did not come into it with any formal training, there was definitely a learning curve around scheduling emails, setting up automations properly and understanding the smaller details of workflow management. A lot of the terminology can feel unfamiliar if you have never worked with this kind of software before but they do provide plenty of help pages and forum resources that walk you through things step by step. Once the core ideas start to click, using it begins to feel much more natural. With a bit of patience, this software can really help you grow your email marketing skills.

better email workflow improvements

Pros

The platform keeps getting better over time and the process of building and sending emails has already improved a lot. One change I really appreciate is that you no longer have to come up with a subject line before creating the email. Now it can be named or edited at the end of the design process which feels like a real improvement.

Cons

One thing that really bothers me is that the same contact gets counted twice if they're on two different lists. I'd much rather be able to work with lists instead of relying on groups or segments. That becomes especially frustrating when you're managing a member list that changes all the time and I still haven't found a great way to keep it properly updated.

professional newsletter control

Pros

Putting together newsletters with this has been really flexible. I'm able to create my own header and footer and have full control over the content. It's also helpful to pick the right box or section for whatever I want to include in the newsletter. There are lots of style options to choose from which makes the final result look much more polished and professional. I also appreciate that recipients can unsubscribe if they no longer want our emails and they're able to reply with comments or questions. On top of that, there are plenty of other features available that I haven't even needed to use yet.

Cons

A few features are not very simple which is why I rated it a little lower for ease of use. I'd also really like the option to resize pictures directly inside the newsletter instead of having to keep going back to the media page.

helpful templates and tracking

Pros

Getting started with this platform was very easy and it's simple to understand from the beginning. It lets you build emails for campaigns, track everything throughout the process and use different templates to design your messages while keeping a record of each contact.

Cons

After using it for quite a while, I honestly haven't come across any flaws. It feels like a very complete and useful platform especially for a small business that's just getting started in the marketing world.

Great emails on a budget

Pros

Running our local garden co-op mailing list with this has been really helpful. It lets me put together a new email or reuse an old one quickly and send it out to the group without much hassle. I'm able to adjust the layout, wording, images and overall design so the emails come across looking polished and professional. Since we're on the free plan, the cost works perfectly for a small organization like ours. It keeps everyone on the mailing list updated and makes it simple to send the right message to the right people with very little effort.

Cons

Support could definitely be better since I ran into a minor issue and didn't get the level of help I hoped for. I'd also like to see more design flexibility for customized work. That said I can understand that adding more options might make the platform a bit less easy to use.

powerful segmentation and multi-site flexibility

Pros

Hands down, this feels like the best email marketing service available. I really can't point to any feature that seems missing. It lets you do just about anything you want especially when it comes to segmentation for re-engagement campaigns. The part I appreciate most is being able to manage multiple sites or even separate accounts without them affecting one another. I run one blog about cooking and another about hosting and I kept both under the same account without any issues at all with domain tracking, clicks, or links. Everything worked exactly as it should. And if you want even more separation, having multiple accounts is also an option.

Cons

Pricing is the part that's hard to justify. There don't seem to be any coupons or any real way around the high cost. Another frustrating thing is that once you switch from the free plan to a paid one, there's no option to go back even if your list drops below 1,000 subscribers. I'm also not completely convinced the referral program is working the way it should. I remember receiving a few bonuses but they don't appear properly in the dashboard.

capable templates and campaign tools

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is the set of templates it provides for building email campaigns very quickly. Almost everything can be customized and it lets you add highly dynamic content like GIFs and videos. You can also create multiple subscription lists and track useful metrics such as open rates and click rates which makes the feature set really impressive.

Cons

The downside shows up when creating landing pages because they can only be hosted on its own platform instead of your website which is disappointing. On top of that, the integration with online stores like BigCommerce or Shopify is far from ideal since some products do not appear properly.

helpful agency access and reporting but tough interface

Pros

A feature that's been really useful is the agency feature because I can get into my two clients' accounts without needing their login details. When I sign in, it simply asks which client I want to work on and that makes managing both accounts much more convenient. I could probably use it for my own email marketing too but I haven't really used it for myself. I'm not sure whether AWeber or GetResponse offers the same kind of functionality. The templates are drag and drop and I picked up how to use them pretty quickly. It also lets you import email lists directly without making contacts go through double opt-in which is very helpful since my clients do not really understand what double opt-in means, they just know they want to email the list they already have. The reporting is another strong point and I really appreciate that the reports can be printed or saved so clients can review the results. Its API also connects with a lot of other tools which adds a lot of convenience. My clients are using the free version and while I do not know exactly what comes with the paid plan, the free version seems more than enough for someone with a smaller list who wants to send emails effectively.

Cons

Coming from GetResponse, the interface did not feel very simple to me. I had trouble figuring out how to set up an autoresponder sequence and also where to build a webform. Those features may very well exist but they were not obvious to me when I was using it. It would also be helpful if the platform cleaned your email list automatically before sending although if you use NeverBounce you can import your list from there and handle the cleaning that way. Since I was only working with the free version, it is possible that some of this is addressed in the paid version.

clean emails and useful reporting

Pros

Using it has been a really positive experience. It took me a few weeks of working through emails to fully understand where everything was but once I got familiar with the functions, creating emails became quick and efficient. The UI/UX is clean, simple and approachable which makes the platform pleasant to use. I also appreciate that the language feels fun without being overly cute which is refreshing compared to a lot of software right now. The reporting and analytics are easy to understand and I can quickly email reports to stakeholders so they can access them right away. Another big plus is the integration with many popular CRMs. I still haven't explored some of the more advanced features yet but I'm looking forward to trying the landing page tools and social media integrations. On top of that, they offer plenty of helpful how-to resources and customer support has been fast and useful whenever needed. The affordable price is also a major advantage especially for teams working with smaller marketing budgets.

Cons

I'd still like to see more design tools available for building emails. That said for newer users or anyone without strong design skills, the current setup does make it very simple to create polished emails.

fantastic for email campaigns

Pros

The website includes lots of tutorials and guides so there is plenty of help available while learning how everything works. If you are just getting started and only have a small subscriber list, the free plan is a really good option and it still includes the same features available in the paid plans for users with bigger audiences. On top of that, the customer service has been excellent whenever I needed it.

Cons

I would really like to see the ability to create more attractive opt-in forms. The ones I have managed to build have ranged from very basic to a bit disappointing in how they look.

versatile templates and strong delivery

Pros

Having access to a wide range of newsletter templates has helped us keep every email we send looking fresh and different. It has also cut down how much we need support from graphic designers since we've been able to create newsletters ourselves many times without involving the design team. Another big advantage is the strong inbox delivery rate which means most of our subscribers actually receive and read our newsletters and that has helped our business grow.

Cons

User interface feels inconsistent. Whenever the program gets updated, the layout seems to change as well so we end up spending extra time getting used to the new interface.

powerful integrations and reporting

Pros

After more than five years of using it, this has been a feature-packed email marketing platform for us. We connect it with Shopify and Justuno so new subscribers are added to our email lists automatically. We also rely on the Google Analytics, Facebook and Twitter integrations to quickly share new arrivals, sales, news and other updates. Since we run both a physical retail store and an e-commerce business, being able to segment our mailing lists by geographic data is really useful for sending both local and national campaigns. The Shopify product integration which was added more recently, lets us place product listings directly into our email campaigns. It's also very simple to check opens and clicks and the reporting and analytics tools overall are excellent. While some features do require payment, we've been able to use it as a free product for what we need.

Cons

The platform is constantly being updated and expanded and at times that leads to some UI issues in the WYSIWYG editor but those problems have always eventually been fixed or improved.

friendly compliance and great automation

Pros

The interface has a really nice feel to it and there's a lot of communication built in which I appreciated. Setting up automated emails from RSS feeds was fairly easy as well though one settings tweak can create some awkward links without it being obvious right away. The part I value most is how much support they provide around email marketing compliance. Unsubscribe links are already built in and very simple to add, they send reminder emails about the rules and the whole process feels very convenient. It also connects with Zapier which is a nice bonus if you use that. And honestly, the little winking monkey mailman is adorable and always makes me smile.

Cons

Getting up to speed took a lot longer than I expected. It took me about three months to fully understand the relatively simple email campaigns my predecessor had already put in place. The UX really assumes you already have a great understanding of email marketing concepts so starting from scratch was pretty challenging. It also feels better suited for email marketing and certain types of outreach than for more basic use cases. For instance, we tried to create an email that would notify podcast guests when their episodes went live and it just wasn't a good fit for that.

love the free email tools

Pros

Using it feels really simple and the best part is that it stays free as long as your list is on the smaller side. You can build really nice-looking emails without paying and it's a great way to learn the ins and outs of email marketing. It also works well for personal projects or hobbies, like running a fantasy league because it helps keep everyone updated and engaged. I really love using it.

Cons

Editing the raw HTML is definitely frustrating. You have to go through it one section at a time and there are moments when it would be so much better to have access to the entire document, including all the CSS, in one place.

user-friendly campaigns but limited crm

Pros

Usability impressed me from day one and the platform has continued to stay efficient without becoming overly complicated. It guides users through everything from a first campaign to more advanced marketing efforts making it a strong choice unless you require highly specialized enterprise-level functionality.

Cons

Missing piece is native CRM integration. It would be really nice if a simple system like this connected directly with leads and a CRM. You can make it work through Zapier but there is no built-in integration made specifically for that. It is really focused on sending your message and making sure it reaches people and on that front it does the job perfectly.

fast campaign blasts for teams

Pros

Managing email campaigns for multiple companies is quick and easy with this software. I was able to learn the platform rapidly and creating email blasts never feels complicated. It's a tool I would confidently recommend to others.

Cons

There's really not much to complain about. No software is ever completely perfect but this one gets the job done without difficulty and my employees are able to use it successfully as well.
