Responsive templates and integrations

Pros

Building responsive email templates, creating automations and organizing subscriber lists are all easy tasks. I also like how easily it integrates with forms, Facebook and other platforms making audience growth and remarketing much more convenient.

Cons

Managing lists and groups can be a bit tricky at times. I've run into problems when bulk-adding users and accidentally overwriting group memberships. I'd also really appreciate more advanced segmentation options for automations.

Helpful email insights

Pros

Managing contacts and email marketing became significantly easier once I started using this tool. Uploading and organizing information is simple, collaboration works well and the analytics provide valuable insight into opens, clicks and engagement trends that help me improve future campaigns.

Cons

I mainly used the software to organize large contact lists across several different groups. In those situations some of the marketing features and detailed analytics felt unnecessary. I wasn't always trying to market heavily to the people in my email groups as much as I was trying to keep everything organized.

Reliable automation and delivery

Pros

The platform continues to evolve with useful updates and improvements. Deliverability has been consistently reliable, the automation features are powerful and the built-in segmentation tools give me a great deal of flexibility when targeting audiences.

Cons

The templates feel weak and searching through lists should be much simpler. I also really miss having a global library for custom drag-and-drop blocks which ends up wasting a lot of time.

strong email tools

Pros

Combination of a photo library, WYSIWYG editor, list management tools, templates, testing options and scheduling features makes campaign creation very efficient. Everything I need is available in one place which keeps the process simple.

Cons

One thing I'd really like is the ability to toggle the A/B campaign feature on and off without having to rebuild everything from the beginning. Also, there are times when I need to edit the HTML and it either won't allow the changes or doesn't save them properly.

effective campaigns and support

Pros

Launching basic campaigns is easy but the platform also scales well for more advanced marketing initiatives. The integrations, support resources and documentation are excellent making it suitable for both beginners and larger organizations with more complex requirements.

Cons

On the pricing plan I used, a few features were only available at an extra cost. They weren't essential for what I needed but having them included would have been useful.

strong email marketing boost

Pros

As our organization expanded, this platform became an increasingly valuable asset. Creating professional-looking emails is simple and the signup forms on our website and social media pages have helped us grow our subscriber list more effectively.

Cons

I haven't run into any cons so far.

perfect analytics and value

Pros

After several years of use, the platform has continued to deliver strong functionality and insightful reporting. The pricing remains attractive and it has proven to be a cost-effective solution for supporting our email marketing efforts.

Cons

One concern we occasionally have is that as it expands into other areas, such as advertising, we hope it doesn't lose its focus on email services.

automation with templates

Pros

One thing that has been really useful is the automated list management especially workflow campaigns that kick off based on subscriber actions. It's way too easy to forget to follow up with new signups so having that happen automatically has helped a lot. The selection of pre-formatted templates is also a big plus since it makes my emails look much more professional.

Cons

A handful of subscribers have mentioned that my emails still land in the promotions tab or even the junk folder on their email platform. I've been careful with my subject lines and followed the recommended steps to verify my domain but it continues to happen. It's probably something that can come up with any list management platform. I also wish the signup form URL could be customized because eepurl.com can look suspicious to some people.

advanced automation and retargeting

Pros

Creating and managing lists is really easy and the newest additions have been the biggest plus for me. The automation tools are excellent and it's exciting to see features like retargeting and even ads being added.

Cons

At times, the interface can be a little confusing especially when trying to locate things like the next button. The built-in templates are somewhat limited as well.

Usage-based pricing works well

Pros

Paying based on usage is a big plus and when you handle subscriber opt-ins well and keep putting out great content, it can become a really valuable source of business.

Cons

Some parts of building campaigns and templates feel awkward and I wish they would go back and improve the UX/UI.

Well-designed UI and list tools

Pros

Coming back to the platform after not using it for a while is never a problem because the interface is laid out really thoughtfully so it's quick to get reoriented and familiar with everything again. The tools are strong and the user list management features are especially excellent. We've been using it for the last few years to handle internal and external bulk emails tied to our product launches.

Cons

Since this is the only tool of its kind I've worked with, I don't really have anything specific to point to as a dislike. My exposure is also fairly limited because we only use it twice a year and in smaller volumes.

Thoughtful updates and integrations

Pros

Since the day it launched, I've stuck with it and stayed a fan and I'm especially impressed by how much it keeps evolving. The updates and new features consistently feel well planned, well executed and rolled out properly. Their knowledge base and support options are also reliable organized and simple to navigate and understand. On top of that, the wide range of integrations makes it a strong pick for small to mid-sized businesses especially when marketing automation can feel pretty intimidating.

Cons

Honestly, the only thing that comes to mind is that data fields are capped at 30. Beyond that, I've got nothing, most of the time, if I hit a problem, it ends up being user error on my side.

Fast signup forms and free start

Pros

Across landing pages, blog posts and pop-up forms, this has been exactly what I needed for collecting visitor emails. If the plugin didn't make it this simple to capture addresses and send them straight into a list, I'd probably be tearing my hair out. Setup was quick, everything works fast and getting 2,000 emails free at the start is a really nice bonus.

Cons

The one thing I wish I could justify paying for is some of the extra campaign features especially sending during peak viewing hours. Rather than scheduling everything manually myself, I'd love to use the automated "best delivery time" option. It sounds really useful but right now it's just more expensive than I can afford.

Newsletter signup works well

Pros

When I was putting together my first blog, I needed a way to collect email addresses for my newsletter and this was the first service I came across on Google. I'm really glad I chose it because it was incredibly simple to get started with. It's absolutely worth paying for and it performs exactly the way I need it to. One thing I especially appreciate is being able to create and manage different lists.

Cons

A small number of emails sent through the platform have ended up in spam and it hasn't been completely obvious how to resolve that problem.

great interface for testing

Pros

Right from the start, the interface felt fantastic and getting everything set up was very easy. It's an excellent tool for A/B testing and the data it gives is concise, clear and easy to understand which really helps us optimize our email campaigns for better sales conversions. More recently, we've also started using it to test landing pages and survey click-through rates.

Cons

I do wish it offered stronger rules for marketing list segmentation and they also need to improve their templates so all of them are fully mobile responsive.

perfect start for email campaigns

Pros

As a basic email marketing tool, it's a great place to begin. It comes with a nice selection of ready-made templates that you can tweak to fit your needs. The navigation is fairly easy and the testing and analytics features are simple to use and easy to understand.

Cons

Coming from platforms like iContact or Constant Contact, the navigation and overall workflow feel quite different so there's definitely a learning curve at first. The template customization is also more limited compared to those tools which means you're mostly restricted to fairly basic layouts. On top of that, the interface can feel a little awkward.

good email marketing value

Pros

Putting together and sending email marketing campaigns works well here, thanks to a great interface. The pricing also feels very fair especially with the free plan covering up to 2,000 list members and a pricing structure that scales nicely once you go beyond that.

Cons

One issue I run into is with the text editor preview not always matching what actually shows up. I'll change a font and it can appear differently in the email or preview mode than it does in the editor and sometimes the editor does not reflect the change at all. Because of that, I have to go back and tweak things several times and there have been times when I had to strip out all the formatting and redo each line from scratch. It would also help if unsubscribes were easier to clean up since they still count toward the 2,000-contact limit.

Effective campaigns and tools

Pros

Using the platform feels very easy and it makes it simple to build distribution lists and put together creative messaging campaigns.

Cons

Price for storing lists is quite high. Also, emails sent through the software sometimes land in Spam or Promotions instead of arriving as personal emails.

affordable but basic plan

Pros

Considering the price, the feature set is hard to argue with. It includes automation, segmentation, basic CRM-style management and personalization tools. There are also custom package options based on how many records are in your database which helps improve the overall return on investment.

Cons

Core ESP features are all present but they feel fairly basic compared with bigger platforms. They handle the essentials, just without the level of depth those more advanced systems offer. That tradeoff comes with choosing a lower-cost platform. It still delivers great value for the money but if you're managing a very large database and need more advanced functionality, I'd suggest looking at another option.

affordable plans and useful tools

Pros

This platform has been a great fit for my business thanks to its affordable pricing, professional templates and useful marketing tools. I can send campaigns, track performance and use the insights to improve results without spending a fortune.

Cons

At first, the pricing setup can be a little confusing but after you understand it, there really isn't much to complain about. One small downside is that the reports from email and marketing campaigns don't refresh automatically which is a little inconvenient. Still, you can recreate them yourself in just a few minutes so it's not a major issue.
