Great features at lower cost

Pros

Compared with pricier platforms like Salesforce, it includes a lot of the same functionality but in a simpler and more affordable package.

Cons

Editing some templates, custom emails, or forms can be frustrating because changing one section sometimes affects another part of the email. The HTML output also isn't as precise as I'd want.

helpful email templates

Pros

Sending emails to customers is pretty easy. The templates they provide are great and customizing them doesn't take much effort.

Cons

Free plan fills up the email list limit very quickly and after that the only real choice is to move to a paid plan. That makes it less suitable for a small business.

perfect for getting started

Pros

Getting started with it feels very easy and I mean that in a good way. If you're new to email marketing, it's a great place to begin. Setup is quick, the interface is simple to work with and it still includes some more advanced features that can support you as your needs grow.

Cons

That same simplicity can also be a limitation. Once you want deeper control over your email marketing, it starts to feel a bit restricted. To build a more complete customer solution, you'll likely need to connect extra tools or apps and at that point the value may not feel as worthwhile.

reliable mass email workflow

Pros

Handling mass emails and contact management has been pretty easy and the integrations are usable without much trouble. It does what we need it to do without creating extra hassle.

Cons

Integration side still has room for improvement and could be better overall.

versatile templates with branding

Pros

it's email templates take a lot of the guesswork out of putting together campaigns since the structure is already there and you're not stuck figuring everything out from scratch. It also automatically saves your design which is really helpful because you don't have to worry about losing your work. Another plus is the built-in merge tags so adding a bit of branding and personalization to emails is pretty easy. On top of that, there are plenty of content options to work with, including video embeds, images and CTA buttons.

Cons

One downside with it templates is that the interface can feel a little confusing depending on the user. Also, most of the templates need to be customized which may take extra time if you were hoping to use them as-is.

all-in-one marketing favorite

Pros

One of the best things about it is how innovative it feels. It doesn't just handle email marketing, it also includes social media marketing which makes things much more convenient. Having both in one place means I don't have to keep logging into multiple websites or remember how different platforms work just to market my products or brand. Compared with other tools I've used, it definitely gives me the most overall.

Cons

The part I like least about it is that the design options can feel somewhat limiting although I've run into that with other platforms too. When using it, I noticed I was spending a lot of my time adjusting the design and formatting of the email layouts instead of moving through the process more quickly.

Affordable and scalable email marketing

Pros

it is affordable to start with and can even be free depending on the size of your audience. I've worked with other email platforms like Constant Contact, iContact, Marketing Cloud and HubSpot and feature-wise it holds its own with all of them. It covers the full email marketing workflow, subscriber management and segmentation, email design, asset storage, automation, preference center management, sign-up forms and even landing pages. The tools are user friendly overall. While I do have some frustrations with it, it does a tough job well, it's approachable enough for someone with very little technical experience, yet flexible enough to build into something much more advanced if the user knows what they're doing. Another big advantage of using such a widely adopted platform is the amount of learning material available. There are endless forums, tutorials, answers and walkthroughs so most problems have already been discussed somewhere. It has been my go-to option for freelancers and small businesses and I've also used it successfully for larger multi-location and multi-brand organizations. It's dependable, adaptable and that reliability matters when you're about to send to 100,000 people.

Cons

Biggest downside is how expensive it can become at certain points as a business grows. Moving up to the business or pro tiers comes with a noticeable jump in monthly cost and the price keeps climbing as your contact list expands. For truly bootstrapped businesses, that kind of cost increase can feel abrupt and tough. Another concern is it positioning itself more as a CRM lately. Personally, I don't see it as a strong CRM replacement for most businesses, unless maybe it's a freelancer managing a very small list. Its data management and data manipulation capabilities are just too limited and the overall data tools feel weak. I've also run into some tracking issues though that space is so messy and constantly changing that it's not always clear where the fault sits. One specific problem is that when click tracking is left on for a campaign, it can overwrite my source and medium tags in third-party analytics tracking.

Generous free plan

Pros

Getting 2k subscribers and unlimited email sending on the free plan is a really nice deal. Being able to start without adding a card makes it even better and the interface is simple and user-friendly overall.

Cons

Creating and managing forms is a bit challenging and takes more effort than it should.

Simple software integrations

Pros

One thing that really works well with it is the huge number of integrations it offers. That makes connecting it with pretty much any tool you need very convenient. In our setup, it links easily with Salesforce which makes capturing and storing leads much more manageable.

Cons

Template selection is pretty limited. it really needs to add more user-friendly templates and expand the overall library because the current options feel far too few.

Easy onboarding for new users

Pros

Working with graduate students, one thing I really appreciate is how simple it is to get new users up and running on a free account especially with the excellent online help available. The platform feels powerful yet simple and it never gets in their way. They can jump right in, make the most of it and move up to a paid account whenever the timing makes sense for them.

Cons

I honestly don't have any complaints. it doesn't seem to have any built-in downside from where I stand. If someone does run into a problem, I'd guess it's more about how they're using it than the platform itself.

Convenient email marketing

Pros

Templates and analytics made easy

Pros

Right away, the email templates stood out because they make it fast to create polished, engaging email content. The customer response statistics are presented clearly which helps a lot when analyzing feedback and understanding how people are reacting. Contact management is also very practical since importing and uploading files in multiple formats makes it simple to build and organize lists. The workflow feels clear and the available tools are genuinely helpful. I also appreciate the eCommerce features since they make it easier for a store or website to stay connected with customers, including handling appointment booking. For basic content management and editing, it works well and offers plenty of resources even on the free plan.

Cons

A few editing features still need improvement especially around material management and the overall interface. The content studio resources could also be better organized in terms of image resolution and file size because there are times when I pick a photo, image, or GIF for a page design and the system says the size is not compatible. Another frustrating part happens when editing campaign email pages, after selecting certain pictures from the library, it can be difficult to continue with the next image insertion without interruption.

Reliable email marketing solution

Pros

After working with it for at least 15 years, it still feels like one of the best all-around tools for email campaigns. We first used it to help clients build marketing campaigns from lead-capture websites and import those leads directly into it. It took care of the lead conversion tracking which made it much easier for us to show real, proven results to clients. One of the biggest reasons it stands out is how user-friendly it is. The drag-and-drop editor, simple formatting options, image insertion and client list importing all make campaign creation very easy. Compared with Constant Contact, it feels much more modern and tech-forward. These days we also rely on it internally for our own email marketing and the CSV import process works really well. Even better, we've been able to see a positive impact on our bottom line from using it.

Cons

There's really nothing I dislike about it except wishing larger campaign limits were included for free. Even with that, it delivers enough value that paying for it feels justified and I'd still gladly recommend it to others.

Flexible but costly at scale

Pros

Detailed reporting, advanced automation workflows, sign-up forms and Shopify popups are where this platform really shines. It's a strong fit for midsize and larger businesses that need to build multiple lists and segments, save drafts, keep images in one photo bank and handle more complex email marketing tasks. Overall, the feature set feels much more capable and comprehensive than a lot of the other platforms I've explored.

Cons

Subscriber-based pricing makes sense and is reasonable for smaller businesses but once your list grows past 5k subscribers, the cost can start to climb pretty quickly. I also appreciate how customizable the platform is overall though certain parts still feel a little restricted, font choices, for instance, are more limited than I'd like.

Reliable newsletter platform

Pros

It covers just about everything you'd want for newsletters and the templates are polished, dependable and consistently work well.

Cons

It comes with a huge number of features so getting used to it at the beginning can take some time. Accessing some of the more advanced tools also gets pretty expensive and if you do not need the full feature set some competitors can be a more affordable option.

Great free plan for startups

Pros

Right away, the clean design and user-friendly interface make the platform pleasant to use and the many free features are a big help for small businesses getting started with digital marketing. The free plan already includes up to 2,000 users, several automation options and campaign management tools. Even the paid plans are very competitively priced and the benefits offered are quite appealing.

Cons

Unfortunately, it is only available in English which makes things a bit harder for users who are not comfortable with the language. Another downside is that some features could be included in the free plan, such as creating campaigns based on purchase behavior.

Dependable campaign delivery

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how reliable it has been. I've never once gotten a notification saying a campaign failed to deliver. Not even once. The first setup for your email campaign, template and audience can take about an hour but once that part is done, sending regular updates to your subscribers only takes a few clicks and small edits.

Cons

Audience management can get a bit confusing if you're not using tags. Merge tags in emails can also be risky so it's definitely worth double-checking them before sending out a campaign.
