“Keeps getting better”

Pros

Coming from a more traditional background where I used to prefer WordPress or Joomla, I was skeptical about the software for a long time. That said it has really come a long way and its functions has improved a lot. Beyond the templates, being able to manage everything directly inside the software saves a lot of time and trouble. One small but surprisingly useful example is handling your Google Business profile from the software which I never even expected to be possible. I also hadn't realized I could use APIs and connect it with third-party software.

Cons

A few competing platforms offer cheaper plans and website loading on mobile devices still feels less than ideal with the software.

Creating a site is simple and the themes look really good. It's a very useful platform overall, with options for everything from blogs to institutional websites.

Cons

That said it's not really the ideal platform for anyone focused on ecommerce. Managing an online store can be a bit complicated and setting up integrations is harder than it should be.

Building a website with the software has been something I've really enjoyed. I love working through the platform to create my own site and I've also used it to build a professional website for a non-profit I worked with. It ended up being the perfect solution for what we needed.

There are times when the navigation can feel a little tricky but overall it still seems much easier to use than WordPress.

It works well as a solid e-commerce platform especially with its shopping cart and integration with payment processors like Stripe.

Getting started took quite a bit of trial and error before everything made sense. On top of that, the templates felt pretty cheap-looking and lacked a modern, clean design, at least when I was using it.

Creating a website would be a much more complicated task without the software but this platform makes creating and launching a site much simpler. It's reliable, secure and the artificial design intelligence feature is really helpful. Automatic site backups are another valuable feature that adds peace of mind.

Cons

Pricing could be more competitive compared to other options on the market. Also once you've chosen a template, you can't switch to a different one later.

There are hundreds of ready-made templates to choose from and the platform is very simple to use.

The analytics feature could be improved and made more effective.

My biggest issue is the lack of a middle option between the very basic website-building tools and having to code the site yourself or add your own scripts into the original code. For someone like me, that feels pretty limiting.

Another plus is that the software offers several pricing options so you can choose a plan that fits what you need.

Keep in mind that once you pick a theme, switching to a different one later isn't very simple so it's worth choosing carefully from the start.

To get a site live quickly felt like a breath of fresh air especially with the huge selection of free templates available. The cart abandonment feature was also a big plus and added a lot of value.

Handling SEO was probably the toughest part for me and having the software ads show up even on the basic paid plans really defeats the purpose.

Was really easy to get started with a template and I was able to set everything up almost immediately. It didn't require any prior experience which made the whole process feel very approachable.

There was still difficulty getting around at first and most of the templates felt fairly bare when I opened them.

It would stand out even more with a dark mode, additional customization options and the ability to upload and use your own fonts.
