pretty modern interface

Pros

Using Zeffy has been really easy. The interface looks polished, the export features are excellent and the fact that there are no fees makes it incredibly budget-friendly when every dollar matters. We also really appreciate that it's a Canadian platform.

Cons

One thing we make sure to mention to buyers is that�the platform�automatically adds an optional donation, although it hasn't led to any complaints for us. The title character limit can also be a little restrictive when trying to fit all the important details into the bold text.

offer the best support for nonprofits

Pros

Working with Zeffy has been a really positive experience and I have genuinely enjoyed using its tools. For a nonprofit, the level of support they provide along with how simple the products are to use makes it feel like a real win-win.

Cons

At this point I haven't run into any problems. Between the helpful support team and how easy�the platform�is, we spend far less time trying to figure things out and a lot more time focused on fundraising.

Simple to signup

Pros

From the start the whole platform has felt very easy to use. Customers also say it's really simple to navigate and sign up for a fundraising event through Zeffy which has made the process much more user-friendly.

Cons

The only downside I have run into is the limited amount of customization available on the front end especially in terms of what the customer actually sees. Aside from that, I really don't have any other complaints.

Constant upgrades make it reliable

Pros

One thing I really like about Zeffy is that it keeps getting better. The platform is always being updated and improved and the support team genuinely pays attention to feedback and regularly adds features people ask for. On the financial side it has been completely dependable as well. The Llama Sanctuary can rely on receiving its payout right on schedule every single week, without any issues.

Cons

Right now,�the platform�still misses some of the polish and functionality you get from more specialized email platforms, event management tools and online store solutions. The email builder is fairly basic and the site navigation can be a little difficult at times, at least from my perspective.

Easy setup free collections

Pros

Getting started with this software was very easy and moving around the platform was pretty easy right away. The learning curve was minimal too which made adoption quick. The biggest advantage for us was being able to collect funds at no cost without dealing with the hassle of handling, tracking and depositing checks or cash.

Cons

Only issue came up when we were collecting dues in $30 increments. The default fee shown to members felt fairly high in that context. We did explain that they could adjust the fee if they wanted but not everyone understood how to do that which led to a few complaints.

User friendly and free support

Pros

Coming from a donor database we actually paid for that was frustrating and hard to work with, this one is much more user-friendly. I am not a web developer, so that really matters. It's approachable even for people who aren't used to working with tools like this. Another huge plus is that it's free. The support also stands out. I think it's AI-driven but every time I have needed help, it honestly felt like I was chatting with a real person because it was that good. I always get the help I need quickly and that kind of timely support is incredibly important.

Cons

The biggest limitation is that it doesn't offer a lot of flexibility. For instance, I needed to sort my contacts alphabetically and there wasn't a way to do that.

Completely free tool

Pros

One of the best things about Zeffy is that it's completely free means there are absolutely no fundraising fees at all. It's also incredibly simple to use for donor management and sending out newsletters is especially convenient.

Cons

Free seamless nonprofit fundraising

Pros

Having a platform that's completely free to use is incredible. Being able to process online payments so seamlessly without paying a fortune actually without paying anything at all has been a huge fundraising advantage for a small nonprofit like ours. The interface is very user-friendly and pulling campaign data is fast and easy. Their newer POS app which can be downloaded onto any phone, has also saved us from having to buy a Square reader since staff and volunteers can simply install the app and start scanning tickets or accepting donations.

Cons

Since�the product�is still fairly new, it doesn't yet offer as many features as some comparable platforms. That said, the team is very responsive to customer feedback and keeps rolling out new functionality to better support the changing needs of nonprofit organizations.

Quick to setup

Pros

Zeffy was up and running quickly and the platform felt very user friendly right away. After watching the tutorials, I was able to set up my event and ticket details within minutes. Whenever I needed extra information, the staff was very helpful and got back to me quickly.

Cons

Overall, I like�this platform�and the way it functions. The only part I don't enjoy is getting daily emails from�the platform especially when I am not actively running a fundraiser.

pretty simple to setup

Pros

Getting our first campaign out the door felt very easy and the platform was simple to navigate from the start. Adding our own logo was quick which made everything feel more customized and personal. Because the setup and sending process were so user-friendly, our first campaign ended up raising a really good amount. I also appreciated how simple it was to pull up reports and track exactly how much was donated to each part of the campaign.

Cons

One part that could be improved is the checkout flow, since it can get a bit confusing when�the platform�inserts the option to pay�the platform. That section should be explained more clearly.

When it comes to handling bids, the app takes care of most of the work for you. It automatically notifies all the winners which really helps simplify things right when you need that support the most.

Cons

Trying to set up emails on a cell phone can be pretty frustrating especially at the exact moment you need it to work. Getting your default outgoing emails configured is very difficult.

Easy multiple campaign management

Pros

Zeffy was very easy to use and being able to build multiple campaigns has been incredibly useful. The guided step by step setup is also user friendly and still leaves plenty of room to be creative with the design. I also really like the donor management tools especially the option to manually add offline gifts like checks or cash alongside donations processed through it which keeps my donor list complete with every contributor included. The automatic thank you emails and tax receipts save a lot of time and On top of that it helps our nonprofit avoid credit card fees. Everything is transparent and whenever I have had questions their team has responded.

Cons

There is not much for me to complain about. They couldn't connect with Cvent for registrations but in the end it wasn't a significant issue.

The fact that Zeffy is free was a huge advantage. The platform is also very user-friendly and whenever I was unsure about something, I could quickly get help through the support resources or online chat. I also really like how simple it is to accept electronic payments, build campaigns and present everything in a way that gives our organization a polished, professional image.

Cons

Honestly I cannot think of anything I dislike at this point.�This platform�has made it possible for 100% of our donations to go directly to us, while donors can choose to leave a tip which is how�the platform�earns money. It really is like a win-win setup.

beautiful campaigns at no cost

Pros

It was way too easy to use and the fact that it's completely free makes it even better. The onboarding was simple too and we already have money being deposited into our account from the fundraising campaign we launched. I have also been really happy with how everything looks for our campaign through this tool, from the text-link landing page for our event to the email replies sent to participants and more. Plus it makes it very simple to build polished fundraising landing pages and emails and now we also have an attendee database from our event that helps us stay connected for future ones.

Cons

Nothing comes to my mind. Everything has worked out wonderfully and the fact that it's entirely free is still amazing. We haven't come across a single thing we'd suggest changing which is rare because There is usually at least one area that could be improved but not here.

all in one fundraising tool

Pros

Having everything together in one platform really makes a difference such as donor records, financial details, fundraising tools and email campaign management are all in one place. Zeffy automatically moves deposits to the bank and I can also set tax receipts to be sent out automatically which saves a lot of time. The CRM-style features are really helpful for segmenting audiences for communications and the platform even makes smart recommendations. I also appreciated getting an unsolicited website review with tips on how to make the most of Zeffy's platform that kind of initiative stood out to me. On top of that the help center is amazing too. It's user-friendly and free which makes it even better.

Cons

At times, I wish the campaign tools offered a bit more flexibility for design and editing but it's a very small issue. Overall, I really love�the platform.

Easy newsletter donor management

Pros

Using Zeffy has been very easy and the newsletter and donor management features have been especially useful. It also works well when several people need to be in the system at the same time and switching between different organizations and sub-organizations is really convenient.

Cons

Every now and then there are small glitches and revisions do not always go through properly, so a few tasks end up having to be redone.

User friendly and saves fees

Pros

Running our PTA fundraising through Zeffy has been such a positive change because the platform is user-friendly, with almost no learning curve. One of the biggest benefits is that more of the money we raise actually goes back to the school instead of being lost to credit card fees. In just two months, we've already saved more than $200 by avoiding the charges we usually see on other platforms. The chat feature has also been really helpful whenever I need to track down specific details in the reports.

Cons

One thing I would still like to see improved is the ability to filter and sort reports more easily especially when it comes to custom questions. Since we use this for a PTA, the reporting can get a little messy when we're collecting details like students names and teachers. I am also still confused about why there seems to be one email collected automatically somehow and then a second different email that the user manually enters.

Pretty helpful staff

Pros

Zeffy was very simple and signing up didn't take much effort at all. Most of the questions I had were answered without much trouble and the staff were available whenever I needed guidance. The whole process felt easy enough that I ended up recommending it to other organizations as well.

It's been really helpful to have several giving options available for our supporters. We are able to use it pretty easily and making changes along the way has been just as easy. I really appreciate being able to download the data and use it however needed. The value for the cost is outstanding and I honestly haven't come across anything else that offers the same combination of features and affordability.

Cons

QR codes and tap to pay have been the biggest highlights for me. I also really like that it automatically creates a check-in list for my events which saves me time and keeps things organized.

Easy trackable, useful automations

Pros

Everything on the platform is very easy to use and I really appreciate how trackable the whole system is. There are also a lot of useful automations built in, from email workflows to bank transfers which makes managing things much more convenient.

Cons

Charity gets full donations

Pros

One of the best things about Zeffy is that our charity gets 100% of every donation made. It's also been really easy for people to get refunds when they accidentally added the voluntary donation and those refunds have been handled quickly with no questions asked.

Cons

One thing I'd love to see�this platform�integrate with Canva. It would also be helpful to have more customization options for invitations like being able to edit fonts and background colors. Another thing that would make a big difference is having live customer support.

Donor friendly tool!

Pros

Zeffy is very donor-friendly. Also there are no hidden fees, so 100% of every donation goes straight to supporting our mission. Plus the platform is very simple to navigate for both our team and our supporters, with an easy setup process, customizable donation and event pages and easy reporting. It gives us the freedom to run campaigns, sell tickets and handle fundraising in one place while still keeping everything transparent.

Cons

Honestly I did not run into any problems while using�this platform. From the initial setup through implementation, everything felt reliable, user-friendly and well designed. The features performed exactly as expected and I really valued the fact that there were no hidden fees, so all contributions could go directly toward our mission. The donation and event management tools were decent and both our organization and our supporters found the process simple and efficient. Because of that, I do not have any real complaints to share. My overall experience was extremely positive and I would absolutely recommend�this platform�to other nonprofits looking for a cost-effective fundraising platform.

Pros

There are no credit card processing fees, so it really is free to use. The training has also been very helpful, both for getting everything set up at the beginning and for learning more advanced features as we've gained experience.

Cons

To be honest there isn't much negative to say. I still haven't figured out how to include all of our donors in an email campaign especially the ones who didn't come through�this platform. Also since we only run one event each year, I have had to relearn the phone card processing setup every time.

Getting fundraising campaigns up and running is very easy and the platform still offers plenty of professional features. The step-by-step prompts are clear, detailed and simple to follow, so the whole setup process is very manageable.

simple and excellent communication

Pros

It has impressed me with how much it offers. The platform is powerful yet simple to navigate and packed with excellent features. I get notified as soon as new donations or sales come in, then receive a weekly summary of new transactions along with a full record of all activity to date, plus a weekly deposit notice. Their communication is outstanding too as There is usually a real person replying within an hour or two. Even the suggestions I have shared to make things better have been quickly welcomed and forwarded to their creative team.

Cons

I cannot come up with any complaints and that even surprises me.�This platform�understands its customers and customer service better than any organization I have worked with in years.

Reasonably easy to use. I really love the preset emails especially being able to send emails to all members once ticket sales begin.

Cons

loving it for events

Pros

After switching our organization over to Zeffy for donor management, the difference was immediately clear. It's been much more user-friendly than the platform we used before and the reporting is a lot better too. Setting up events is actually enjoyable and keeping up with ticket sales is simple. I honestly wouldn't want to switch back as I absolutely love using it.

Cons

One thing that comes up at times is that some donors don't realize they're able to adjust the contribution amount for�the platform. That said, I do appreciate that the amount can be changed when needed.

Setting up the forms is really easy, the user-facing layout looks clean and polished and the fact that it's free makes it even better.

Cons

A few customization options still aren't available yet, although they've been impressively quick about rolling out new features. Zeffy has been an excellent fit for our fundraising efforts. The platform is very user-friendly and does a really good job of helping us meet our goals. Since there are no fees, more of each donation goes straight to our school which definitely motivates families to contribute more generously. We also appreciate how versatile it is as it works well across different events and fundraising campaigns. I'd absolutely recommend it to any organization wanting a simple but effective fundraising platform.

Cons

We have come across one issue which is that the access levels for team members are a bit limited. I'd love to see more customizable permission settings so we could control exactly what each person is able to view or edit. That would make delegating responsibilities much easier while still protecting sensitive information.

Cons

The email templates still need quite a bit of improvement. They could be more polished, look nicer and feel a bit more high quality.

Phenomenal support every time

Pros

Whenever questions come up or I need help setting up a form or event, the customer service has been phenomenal. Every time I have reached out, I have been able to talk with someone knowledgeable who could actually help.

Cons

There are a few small limitations when creating forms. I'd also love to have the option to add more details that would improve tracking for our organization.

perfect for nonprofit fundraising

Pros

Getting our fundraising off the ground felt a lot less overwhelming because Zeffy gives nonprofits so many useful options. We're a brand new nonprofit supporting a small school district and when we started, we honestly were not very sure what we were doing. Since Zeffy is the only platform we've used, we don't really have anything to compare it to but we have no plans to switch because it already covers everything we need. One of the biggest perks is that it automatically sends tax receipts for us. We also love all the settings for running events and selling tickets like full tables, early bird pricing and tickets with different release dates. There are tons of ways to customize everything so it fits exactly what you need. Best of all, it doesn't cost us anything which means every dollar we raise can go directly to our mission.

Cons

Only a couple of minor things have come up, like wishing the donation form allowed more than four preset donation amounts. Aside from that There is really not much for us to complain about.

affordable and customizable tool

Pros

Running this as a nonprofit has been really manageable because the platform is simple to use and affordable. I also liked being able to customize the look and feel so it matched my audience better.

Cons

Nothing major comes to mind. If I had to mention anything, it would be the number of days it takes for funds to arrive but even that is not too bad.

packed with the best features

Pros

Picking just one favorite thing about Zeffy is nearly impossible. From the zero fee donation platform that lets our nonprofit keep every dollar given, to the strong fundraising tools, it has completely changed the way we receive and manage donations. Even their features for thanking our generous supporters make the whole process feel seamless and genuinely rewarding.

Cons

There is always a chance for any service to improve but honestly I am struggling to point out any real downside with�this platform�right now. They've been an incredibly valuable partner to River Region Animal Rescue and their exceptional customer support makes me confident that if anything ever comes up, it will be handled quickly and effectively.

Professional look and free

Pros

Using it has not been a problem, with polished finishes, a professional appearance and the added bonus of being free. The page customization especially the color options, helped me build a sales site that really matched the image of our event.

Cons

I would still like it to be easier to integrate with Instagram for donations and events since that would make promotion and advertising much more convenient.

The best for nonprofits

Pros

As a nonprofit having no platform fees is a huge advantage. Donors can choose the fee amount they want to contribute which is such a thoughtful feature and the automatic tax deduction letter is something I really like.

Cons

Nothing to complain about so far. It's been an excellent platform for nonprofits and I have not run into anything I dislike yet.

helpful support whenever needed

Pros

The customer service has been a real plus. You can tell they genuinely try to respond to our needs and the staff is always kind and pleasant to deal with. The fact that the service is free is also a big advantage. We still haven't explored everything Zeffy offers, so there are probably more useful features to discover.

Cons

We are a nonprofit and some people who register for activities choose to pay in cash or by Interac. In those cases we have to enter the payments manually and the tool for doing that doesn't feel fully developed yet. For example if we try to add an entry after the activity end date, the system won't accept it.�The platform�did suggest a workaround but it's not really an ideal solution for us.

really like the esponsive support

Pros

Zeffy software is fairly simple to use and the customer service team has been very quick to respond whenever needed. Overall, it's been a really strong program to work with.

Cons

It seems to be built more for general fundraising and not as much for managing a membership database or supporting fundraising within a membership based organization.

perfect fit for nonprofits

Pros

As a nonprofit it has been a perfect fit for us. Setting up our auction was fairly simple and the participant communication feature was incredibly helpful throughout the process. I also really liked the tax receipt option.

Cons

One thing I wish it offered is the ability to edit pictures directly on the site. The required square image format was a little awkward and since we had to get our auction up quickly, I didn't have time to figure out a workaround.

no-fee platform i love

Pros

Unlike every other platform that claims to be free but still takes a cut somewhere, Zeffy actually doesn't charge us any fees. That alone makes it amazing and honestly it has been wonderful to use.

Cons

Honestly I really don't have any complaints. If I had to point out something, it would be that There is no option to receive funds instantly. Still getting them the next day is very good, so it doesn't really bother me.
