Terrible at the basics

Pros

I cant find anything to like about it. Every feature that seems promising like having meetings from the calendar appear in timesheets disappoints. For instance meetings auto allocate to clients instead of projects if not created from Accelo. This leads to issues with capturing time accurately especially for people with different rates.

Cons

Capturing time and managing projects with Accelo has become excessively time-consuming. The time capture process notably slowed down since our business adopted Accelo. Project planning feels rudimentary and sluggish lacking advanced features. At times it gives off the impression of being in beta stage.

One of its best features is the ability to attach email threads to specific clients or projects within the company. Unlike our previous program where we had to duplicate task lists Accelo allows seamless organization without the need for project templates.

Cons

To get a comprehensive view of the billing dashboard one must heavily rely on filters which prove insufficient. Instantly knowing the status of invoices - whether delivered received or paid - at a glance is essential. Although the mobile app serves as an alternative it falls significantly short of the online version in terms of functionality and requires substantial improvements.

We enjoyed using Accelo during the trial period and were considering signing up. However we were blindsided by the undisclosed initial startup fee of US$800 which was not mentioned in the advertised monthly rate. The requirement to consult with a specialist and pay this fee upfront was a major setback and a warning sign.

Its capability to manage various activities with different customers and even house multiple tasks with the same customer is invaluable. This feature allows me to track my work with each client meticulously compared to just allocating time for the task.
