“I had an Aha! moment
Pros
Transitioning from a task management tool due to the shift to remote work, Aha meets the team's usability and executive visibility needs.
Cons
The desire to mirror certain features or releases across multiple workspaces remains unfulfilled, and a method to achieve this has not been found yet.

“Great product
Pros
Superb idea management and customization features make Aha capable of handling diverse requirements.
Cons
The interface for configuring Workspaces, portals, scorecards, forms, etc., can be confusing and scattered, requiring potential improvement in rearranging customization items.

“Great way to stay ahead
Pros
This significantly aids in strategy implementation and providing everyone with a clear understanding of the reasons behind our actions. Shared vision comprehension significantly facilitates execution and monitoring.
Cons
There isn't much support here for the actual execution of work. If you are utilizing Scrum Kanban or another framework there isn't sufficient assistance in planning day-to-day activities for executing against stories.

“Offers room to grow in to
Pros
The most beneficial aspect for us is the ability to let teams use their preferred tools while seamlessly creating an end-to-end overview from top-level goals to feature execution and market activities. The pre-built integrations with Salesforce Zendesk GitHub Slack and Asana make connecting the organizational picture quite effortless.
Cons
We encountered challenges with the UI and familiarizing everyone with the available capabilities/best practices due to its feature-rich nature. Our strategy involved an incremental deployment starting in the middle of the data model. If given the opportunity to do it again I would commence at the top with clear goals vision and a focus on capturing product strategy details then move down through the initiatives and into tracking the implementation details via releases/epics/features. Some of the new enterprise + features around collecting customer feedback are intriguing.

“More than just roadmapping
Pros
Aha! fulfills its promise of simplifying product roadmapping but offers much more. It serves as a central platform for product management enabling planning across different groups and business units. Integrating Aha! into existing tools allows for a comprehensive big-picture view with features like the idea portal and flexible reporting being particularly valuable.
Cons
While it does offer Single Sign-On and directory integration it lacks more flexible group management. This absence hinders linking permissions and access rights to Active Directory groups for more straightforward management in larger organizations resulting in some manual work for us in assigning and changing user permissions.

“Best end-to-end product management tool on the market!
Pros
Aha! serves as a complete end-to-end product management solution excelling in areas such as application stability overall performance ease of use flexibility in feature organization and intuitive planning structures. While it may be pricier the justified cost is offset by a larger feature set that saves time provides a stable user experience and supports mobile idea capture.
Cons
Aha! is an exceptionally robust flexible app that can scale with a business. However there's an initial learning curve as is typical with any software of this level of flexibility. The upfront time investment is worthwhile because once set up the application is easy for the team to understand navigate and use!

“Excellent Value
Pros
I've introduced Aha! in my last two Product Management roles. Its flexibility collaborative features alignment of delivery with strategy and excellent customer service consistently bring me back. Its extensive capabilities support various workflows and processes as our Product Development organization expands.
Cons
Generally there's nothing that is a real deal-breaker but I've found the Jira integration somewhat finicky on occasion. Usually it was something that could be resolved fairly easily and didn't have a large impact. The in-app presentations are fantastic for publishing content but sometimes it takes manipulating in PowerPoint to format or display things a certain way. It's a minor issue as I've seen improvements with several releases and the software's purpose wasn't for the presentation ability.

“Great for organizing but a few minor bugs
Pros
Setting up a roadmap with my team has been straightforward with Aha!. Collaborating and selecting features to work on while monitoring our deployment schedule have been made easier. Aha! facilitates data-driven decisions allowing us to experiment with new features while delivering app enhancements.
Cons
The UI is a bit erratic and sometimes I have to update things multiple times before my changes are saved in Chrome. Often I'll need to completely refresh the page before I see my changes in the UI making things a bit slower to use.

“A Comprehensive Solution for Streamlined Work
Pros
The softwares depth and comprehensiveness are truly remarkable. It covers almost every aspect imaginable when it comes to creating various products or services. It aids in planning, organization, communication, documentation, and more, offering a wide range of tools. The platform encourages meaningful discussions with stakeholders to identify true priorities, a feature I wish I had discovered years ago.
Cons
One notable missing element is the absence of support for OKRs (Objectives and Key Results). While there are provisions for goals and metrics, a structured approach for implementing OKRs within product teams is lacking. Additionally, we encountered challenges integrating with Jira, which can partly be attributed to Jiras limitations.

“A good option for maintaing a backlog of features and defects
Pros
Aha! excels at maintaining a comprehensive backlog of features and defects visible across the organization and to external clients if needed. It simplifies the voting process on ideas and makes sharing ideas a straightforward task.
Cons
Aha! can sometimes be buggy when typing up a new idea; the admin portal is messy and hard to navigate. It is challenging to search for specific items in the portal from the back end. I wish there were more options to customize what fields people could and couldn't see.

“Excellent Roadmap & Idea Management Package
Pros
Philosophically the software encourages validation of key product management decisions. It prompts critical thinking ensuring alignment with strategic and tactical goals. Features like JIRA and Confluence integration cascading templates and the Ideas portal contribute to top-down alignment and bottom-up justifications.
Cons
Additional data types for the extensible entities would be beneficial - lists of custom entities for example.

“Using Aha for Education Assessment products
Pros
As Head of Product Management the strategic view of the product portfolio is crucial. I frequently use strategic and portfolio roadmaps goals and linked initiatives. The dashboard function especially for executive reporting is a favorite and using different workspaces for various departments is an added bonus.
Cons
I really wish the functions would allow clarity for strategic objectives rather than goals and support the framing of dependent team and individual OKRs. I also find it challenging to delete releases and features on the strategic level workspace. It would benefit different types of users to have the functionalities they need and navigate to it easily. From my role as head of to the associate product manager we have different uses and feature requirements.

“Enterprise-grade with powerful flexibility and integrations
Pros
Aha! has significantly improved our ability to strategically plan releases and align across multiple delivery teams. Its customization and integration capabilities surpass others making configuration and reporting simpler. Responsive customer support and user-friendly documentation enhance the overall experience.
Cons
Our most significant hurdle to extracting more value from Aha is the cost. We would love to bring our scrum masters and UX leaders into Aha in more than just a read-only capacity but the cost to do that is prohibitive. While the benefits of Aha are considerable so is the cost so it's something we need to be constantly ready to justify to management. The navigation is also somewhat poor and there are a handful of specific views that are hard to use causing confusion for many users. But that's not too bad since we can usually create the view we want via a report.

“Without Equal -- Absolutely Essential for Strategic Thinking and Planning
Pros
Comparing Aha! with other tools like Trello Airtable and Jira misses the point. Aha! focuses on strategy guiding thoughtful planning and linking releases and features to measurable objectives. Its unique ability to link with Jira enhances progress tracking against objectives.
Cons
The state of Gantt charts can be a little confusing e.g. "Click here for the latest version" and/or enabled "Save" button when I haven't made any changes.

“Best customer service and support
Pros
While the product is excellent Aha!'s customer service stands out as the best encountered not just among software providers but across various contexts. Responsive informative responses and quick scheduling of calls for issue resolution contribute to a satisfying experience.

Navigation can leave a little to be desired. It can be very confusing if not in it every day.

“I will use this software for the rest of my career. It's worth every penny.
Pros
The software's comprehensiveness is remarkable offering almost everything needed for building any type of product or service. It aids in organization planning communication rating ranking documentation and creating with the exception of actual software code. Aha! empowers meaningful conversations with stakeholders providing clarity that was previously lacking.
Cons
The single largest missing feature is OKR support. There are goals and metrics but not a structured way to do OKRs for products/teams. But there is also plenty of other software in the world that does it. We did struggle a bit with the integration with Jira but that's largely because of Jira deficiencies.

“Frequently Recommend to My Clients
Pros
As a management consultant Aha! brings clarity to complex scenarios involving forecasts roadmaps projects initiatives goals products and services. Its user-friendly interface and live web page creation save time especially in executive reporting.
Cons
If you are looking for something to manage the details of your project I would not use Aha! It just isn't made for that. I always set Aha! on top of a project or product management system; Jira or Smartsheet. Getting your head wrapped around the hierarchy of Aha! can be a learning curve but once you get that down it makes sense and works great.

“All a product manager can dream of!
Pros
Aha! brings structure to the influx of information product managers receive daily. From vision to tactical specifications it provides a centralized platform for organizing information eliminating the need for scattered tools like Excel OneNote and Word.
Cons
Introducing Aha! requires a mindset change in the Product Management team - everybody needs to embrace it and actually start using it to make an impact. This has been and still is the biggest challenge we're facing. I do not recommend buying Aha! if you don't have an internal champion who will help standardize the usage and train the other teammates.

“Possibly the best product management and roadmapping tool. Period.
Pros
Aha! stands out for its simplicity and ease of use. Compared to testing four other products Aha! streamlines complexity for small product teams building software retaining powerful features for future growth.
