Great option for project management

Pros

I use it as a project management setup and once the projects start getting more complicated, having a way to keep different resources and details aligned becomes a real advantage. Navigation is also really easy.

Cons

Occasionally I run into lag when I'm working with bigger datasets. It's annoying when it shows up though it doesn't happen very frequently.

easy to view all your data in one place

Pros

Been using this for analytical chemistry, quality control testing and R&D formulation and the workflows for each project are pretty different yet they all benefit from pulling scattered lab results into one centralized place. Before we started using this software, we were basically stuck in Excel and the data ended up spread across too many files and folders. We now have connected apps for things like sample logging, test results, calibration, maintenance and more. The longer I use it, the more I keep wondering why we didn't switch sooner.

Cons

Bringing people in from other tools can involve a pretty steep learning curve, particularly if they don't have any database background (SQL knowledge helps a lot). Also, getting everything set up properly usually requires someone with solid technical know how. If your team doesn't have that person available, regular day to day users may struggle to get the system running smoothly.

connects to pretty much anything you need

Pros

This is still the most solid project management software/service I've come across. It connects to pretty much anything you need, whether you want a full setup or just a few integrations.

Cons

There's a fairly steep learning curve if you're new to it and it can feel even more challenging if you haven't used any other PM SaaS tools before.

Centralized database

Pros

Has been really helpful for me because it lets me keep different kinds of information in one place instead of juggling multiple tools. When the database grows, it still feels efficient and responsive which is a big plus for ongoing work. Another thing I appreciate is that it reduces the need to switch between several separate software programs so my workflow stays more organized.

Cons

The free plan caps how much data you can store so you can run into limits sooner than expected. Once you start using more features or reach higher usage, the paid tiers can get pricey pretty quickly. It also relies on a solid internet connection for the experience to feel smooth day to day.

Solid project tracking

Pros

We used this program for a while with our marketing agency and it turned out to be a pretty useful tool for keeping tabs on different projects. It handled our spreadsheets and related work without any problems and it made it easier to monitor everything in one place.

Cons

Can feel a bit sluggish especially once you're dealing with large volumes of data. On top of that some customization options for fairly basic needs could be improved.

good for making basic tables

Pros

It's good for creating simple tables which makes it handy when you just need to quickly lay out basic information. Performance feels decent too as long as you're aiming for a plain, structured table output. I also see it working well for initial organization like getting a rough draft or basic structure in place before you move on.

Cons

Once you go beyond simple layouts, it starts to feel restrictive. It didn't do much for organizing things like technologies, materials or projects in a way that actually felt useful. Overall, it reads more like a table generator than a true workflow tool so it didn't address the core problem I was trying to solve. Custom organization and deeper comparison/analysis aren't flexible enough for what I needed.

simple to work with

Pros

Combines full on database capabilities with an interface that's simple to work with. It also scales really well when I need it for project management especially with linked records that stay connected and automations that help keep everything in sync.

Cons

Right now I can't point to any real downsides.

clear dashboards

Pros

A really strong option for managing projects and tasks. The way it organizes and displays information makes everything much easier to understand, visualize and track over time. On top of that the automation capabilities help teams share updates with the right stakeholders without constantly doing manual check ins which cuts down a lot of admin work for project managers while still keeping the wider organization aligned on progress.

Cons

Reaching a real support representative can be difficult since most help runs through email and sometimes extra support may require an additional cost. Even though the platform is packed with powerful features, a handful of those automations can feel complex or a bit nuanced to set up and manage. I'd love to see the automation setup become more accessible, plus clearer and simpler handling of how permission/level structures work and how records get duplicated. When questions do come up, the follow up tends to be more like additional questions or pointing to help articles which doesn't always directly answer the issue that was raised. Having more direct, personalized support would help resolve problems faster and get more value out of the tool.

No code data organization

Pros

This lets me organize and work with my data without needing to learn to code or understand any platform specific language. I can focus on manipulating the information instead of figuring out a new technical syntax.

Cons

Pricing is the only thing holding me back. I really wish there were a more suitable pricing model for small non profits since the usual per user subscription doesn't feel fair for smaller teams.

flexible viewing options

Pros

The range of visualization tools and project views in this software is genuinely useful. Turning data analytics into something easier to read than a typical spreadsheet. It also sidesteps Notion's storage limits which is a big relief if you end up with lots of content over time.

Cons

It isn't a full replacement for major SQL based systems so it won't cover everything a larger, developer focused setup can. That said, it can be a big win for non coder app builders. The automation side is also a bit constrained so you'll often end up using Zapier or another automation platform to fill in the gaps.

Quick setup

Pros

Very user friendly and I was able to get everything set up in just a few minutes. It works really well for organizing my email lists, campaigns, projects and research all in one place.

Cons

There was a short learning curve getting used to the interface and understanding how the different tables connect but it didn't take long before it all clicked.

balances flexibility with structure

Pros

Our team relies on Airtable for dues tracking event registrations and as the go to hub for member management info. The real value is the way it balances flexibility with structure. It can handle a lot of data while still feeling approachable for day to day users. I also really appreciate how customizable it is. We've been able to shape it around how our organization actually operates instead of squeezing our workflows into a rigid tool. It keeps things visible across multiple moving parts without turning into something overly technical which makes it a solid fit for all kinds of projects if you're willing to set it up thoughtfully.

Cons

Performs best when people get proper training. I initially jumped in assuming it worked like Excel or Google Sheets, not realizing how interconnected the data and fields are. I ended up losing important information after deleting something in one view since that change also affected every view in the same sheet.

Versatile tool

Pros

After I got the basics down, it turned out to be surprisingly powerful and flexible. The versatility really stands out, there are a lot of ways to use it depending on what you're building.

Cons

Getting started can feel a bit confusing at first, almost intimidating. I kept wondering whether it's meant to behave like a spreadsheet or more like a database and figuring out the right way to work with it takes some getting used to.

works well for organizing projects

Pros

Simple to use while still giving you the strength of a database. It works well for organizing projects, keeping track of information and letting teams collaborate in real time.

Cons

A few of the more advanced features require a little learning time though getting started with the basic functions is pretty easy.

Strong AI capabilities

Pros

Switching between grid view and gallery view using the swap button has been a really useful addition for my older players since they can flip back and forth and get a feel for what the setup will look like in a practice scenario. On top of that the AI tool built nicely from my initial prompt and generated a solid starting point instead of leaving me to start from scratch and the output also looks pretty good visually.

Cons

On mobile, loading can feel slow when there are lots of records on the screen. The Automation Scripting side also uses a ton of technical wording which makes it hard for normal users to pick up without outside help.

workflow automation potential

Pros

A good choice for workflow automation. The monthly plan is worth it as long as you actually use it consistently and take advantage of it over time.

Cons

Learning how to set everything up took some effort at first. After I looked into how it works and followed some guidance, things started clicking. Still, the range of options is pretty solid once you get past the initial setup.

Modern interface

Pros

Everything feels modern, tidy and highly visual which makes it surprisingly easy to use even for people who aren't technical. I also really enjoy switching between views like grid, calendar, gallery and Kanban and using those to create lightweight interfaces directly on top of your data. For day to day tasks, that flow makes the whole workflow feel smooth and genuinely enjoyable.

Cons

One letdown is that it emphasizes exporting and importing data but doesn't offer a solid way to export or import the underlying structure of a base. There's no native, simple option to move an entire schema (tables, fields and relationships) between workspaces or to back up the full setup. As a result, you often have to rebuild the structure manually or depend on scripts and other workarounds to get things copied over.

flexible relational database

Pros

I really love how flexible it is. You can build out the relational database you're imagining without needing to write any code and the whole setup process was quick. On top of that the automations are genuinely strong and make the data you manage more powerful over time.

Cons

The only small improvement I can think of is in table view when creating records, pressing Enter should start a new record right away. Having it pop up a message about using Shift and Enter is a bit annoying and it would be even better if pressing Enter again didn't risk erasing what you just entered.

solid task management

Pros

We mainly use it for task management. The platform keeps all my files stored in a secure way and the email notifications do exactly what they're supposed to which is why I end up using it so often.

Cons

Sometimes it doesn't work properly because of technical issues. It's understandable on their side but it can still be a bit frustrating when it happens.

Pros

Highly customizable. Having all those options makes it much easier to keep track of the bigger picture and manage everything the way you want.

Cons

Even though there are great customization features, it still feels pretty complicated. On top of that it sometimes just randomly stops working and I haven't been able to figure out what causes it which is pretty frustrating when you're counting on it.
