“Workflow connection that keeps projects moving”

Pros

It's been really smooth for connecting workflows, keeping project owners aligned and making sure projects keep moving forward without getting stuck.

Cons

One thing that's still missing is the ability to assign multiple assignees to projects which would make collaboration much more practical.

“Simple daily task tracking”

Every day I rely on it to manage my work tasks and keep track of everything. It keeps the whole process very simple and easy to use.

Cons

I cannot think of any downsides. Everything works really well.

“Remote teamwork that still delivers”

Pros

When COVID pushed our whole team home in 2020 we brought this in to keep our work on track and make sure daily tasks still got done even though we were no longer collaborating in person. We first bought it to manage work from home but even after returning to a more normal office routine, it has continued to be an essential part of how we operate. We still use it to organize projects and events and it helps us monitor outgoing communication to our constituents so nothing gets duplicated. It has really cut down on over-communicating to our audience while also improving how we communicate internally. Everyone has a clear view of what others are handling which makes it easier to jump in and help when needed or avoid overlapping on schedules, deadlines and data requests.

Cons

It does what we purchased it for and fits our institution well. We already had a good sense of what to expect from the PRO version since we spent quite a bit of time using the free version before deciding to upgrade. The only thing I would really want is some kind of alert when every member on a project completes their tasks although I understand that may not be how the platform is designed to work when 5 to 10 people are collaborating and finishing tasks at different times.

Pros

After getting the team set up on it, everyone has their deadlines clearly laid out. They can also upload documentation and client-facing presentations directly on the platform for review which is much better than constantly chasing people through email.

Cons

At times it feels a little janky and file uploads can be somewhat slow.

Pros

This application is incredibly user friendly. Moving items between projects, resources and different workflow stages is fast and hassle free. Also it offers simple ways to cross-categorize work which makes it much easier to get a complete view of priorities and keep tasks organized.

Cons

One area that could be better is the export functionality. It would really help to have an option to export data directly into Excel so it can be shared more easily across other applications.

Pros

Using it has not been a problem and the variety of templates gives our team a really practical way to complete tasks and stay on top of everything that needs to be managed.

Cons

One limitation is that the number of seats available for users outside our domain is restricted.

Asana makes it simple to schedule organize and keep track of tasks across several teams, including VAs and remote staff.

The communication side inside the platform could be better and stronger integration with messaging apps would make collaboration even more effective.

It is easy to use and everything was clearly labeled so it was simple to understand and use.

To me its interface felt a bit plain and didn't really make me want to jump in, explore or keep using it. On top of that the speed could be better.

They keep rolling out new features which makes the platform feel like it's always getting better. It's also simple to use and finding whatever you need is very easy too.

I am on a paid plan and honestly I think the price is quite high for what it offers.

Having one shared place where the whole team can add tasks and deadlines under a single project is something I really appreciate. It makes it much clearer to see the status of everything at a glance and know exactly who is responsible for what.

Getting it fully adopted across our business has been a bit difficult because everyone manages their work differently. A lot of people still prefer writing things down on paper so it would be helpful to have another way to keep them engaged in the platform instead of relying on physical to-do lists.

Across our whole team, this has been very accessible and simple to keep updated. Making changes is easy and it really helps us work more efficiently.

Cons

We haven't run into any problems with it at this point. It has everything we've been looking for.

After we fully adopted it, it became hard to imagine how we'd manage our work without it.

Getting the team onboard and securing buy-in takes effort but that's true with any kind of change.

Having both personal tasks and team assignments in one place is really useful. It keeps everything organized and makes it clear what needs to be done by turning work into tasks. I can also use it wherever I am, whether on the web or on my phone.

At this point everything has been working really well for me and I haven't run into any issues.

Right away I find it easy to use because the interface is clean and simple. The tools are easy to reach and it also works well with external services. One of the biggest advantages for me is being able to attach files and local documents from Dropbox. I can also filter tasks and projects by order, due dates and other criteria which helps keep everything organized. It's a really strong collaboration tool that has helped improve productivity. Being able to manage tasks and activities from anywhere, using any browser and also from my Android phone, makes it even more useful. It allows us to organize as many teams and projects as needed, while creating, assigning and tracking work in one place. Overall it's a very complete and secure workspace that has helped us finish our responsibilities faster and more efficiently and the whole process has improved noticeably since I started using it.

Cons

It seems quite limited when it comes to building databases or customizing how information is structured. I much prefer the way Notion handles pages and databases because it gives users far more flexibility in presenting information. With Notion, you can design and organize pages using text, headers, inline tables, images, videos and more. This one on the other hand stays tied to a more fixed layout that really only changes depending on the view type. Its properties also are not nearly as easy to customize as they are in Airtable or Notion. If you're someone with a lot of project management experience, that lack of customization can be a major drawback.

Being web based and updated in real time is where this tool really delivers. It works very well for project management and does a great job of improving collaboration especially for organizations with teams spread across different locations.

Cons

The user based pricing though, doesn't feel very budget-friendly especially for many 501(c)(3) organizations.

Our team's productivity has gone up in a lot of ways thanks to the wide range of features Asana offers. Collaboration has improved too since it makes communication around active tasks much simpler and helps us plan work according to schedule. The drag-and-drop option for organizing and customizing the dashboard is really useful, the interface looks excellent and the support team has been fantastic.

Cons

there isn't much here to complain about because everything works well for me overall. The only downside is that integrating it with other CRM tools can be a little tricky although it's still manageable.

“Clean workflow”

Pros

Using it has made coordination much more organized for my team. The interface is also clean and user friendly and the team tagging feature helps keep everyone aligned. Assigning tasks is also not a hassle so work gets distributed clearly without confusion. Because of that we no longer need long meetings and can usually wrap things up with quick stand-up calls instead.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is more project status options, such as critical, urgent, low and high so priorities can be tracked with more clarity.
